Anything drastic happen in my life? No. Just distractions that held my attention
more than art or people did. I'm just hoping I will put more effort into art and
communication this year.

In preparation, I've cleaned up my desk and organized my traditional art mediums.
Both tablet pens and tablet are accounted for and on my desk ready for art.
Now I need to organize my bookmark bar in my browser so I can quickly and easily
upload pieces when they're done.

I feel you. I'm hoping this year I won't be so preoccupied, but it seems like every single year I wind up dropping art after the event is over. Maybe I need a better tablet, maybe that would help motivate me lol

I think my problem, stemming from a few years ago, was that I kept trying to make complete
pieces. This year, if I'm feeling a tad overwhelmed and not wanting to art, I'll at least try to
make something small and simple. I've been drawing a little black cat with super long ears
for the past year and a half, so he'll probably show up quite a bit.

To help my motivation, I've got some pencils, inking pens, and blank index cards for doodling
next to the computer. Sometimes, it's easier and more freeing to sketch something traditional
than put in the effort to open up an art program and feel somewhat obligated, in my own sense,
to create a complete piece.

I know I'm just talking about what I do, but maybe something I do might give you an idea for
later.

I really don't know how much I'll be able to do this year but the event always helped me to get moving again. I haven't drawn really for some months now and this week I got infected with corona. But I'm already getting better so I should be able to draw tomorrow!!
