Okay!
so where you make it, do you use a 1px grid, or something larger?
I'm also a bit confused on how to make it seamless
because whenever I do it the patterns goes all gross -w-

Big Noob

did you go by the tutorial on the front page?

Big Noob

Oh, thank you! I did it emotion_kirakira
This helped me a lot.
I kept doing a square around the entire layer, which sort of messed it up.

You actually don't need a pattern. In fact, patterns are limiting if you want to do a grid! And it takes more time and effort too. Why?
GIMP already has a Grid you can use. It's under Filters > Render > Pattern > Grid and you can adjust the spacing and everything about the grid. If you select a shape and then open a new layer and do a Grid on it, it will fill that selection only as well!

Deviant art is a good place to go to look
You can also just search google and sometimes some nice websites pop up

Hello, I thought I'd stop by when I found this and ask a couple questions.
I'm not necessarily new to gimp or doing graphics but I am curious about a few things.
Any tips on where to find cutting masks? Or suggestions for how to go about them?
They've constantly been confusing to me for how to do and it may be because
I can't seem to find the right brushes or something, not sure.

Well, sorry for the random pop in, hope everyone has a great day.

Big Noob

hello~
sorry for getting back to you so late but
can you show an example of these masks?
