That reminds me - in my neighborhood when I lived in San Francisco, there was this guy who walked three pomeranians, all of which were some shade of dyed pink or red.

i had a neighbor once who had his great dane dyed slime green for halloween.....stayed that way for weeks

well, whenever dogs or cats are dye, if done correctly and with the correct dyes, then they should have no problems, however, the dye would taste funny to them when they lick themselves.

There's actually a pretty positive story about an unwanted dog in Japan who got adopted. He was considered "too ugly" before. His owner, using safe dyes, dyed him to look like a panda - and he was a huge hit. The owner wanted to raise awareness for shelter dogs in Tokyo, apparently.
