* There is no limit to the number of wyverns you may own. But co-owning of wyverns is not allowed.
* Certed wyvern images should be saved to own image hosts, as to not tax the shop's image host. Also, please do not direct link to the images on the supplemental website.
* The use of mule accounts to circumvent the rules/decisions of the staff for any reason is forbidden and will result in an immediate blacklisting.

This is a wyvern.

Wyverns are very tiny creatures. They are small enough to sit on your hand, and are full of a soft, squishy tissue that makes them look heavier than they are. Dark blinky eyes are good at seeing in both daylight and moonlit nights, and little thumb claws allow wyverns to climb up many surfaces as easily as walking. Wyvern flight resembles the fluttering of bats, or the small swooping glide of songbirds.

The little creatures are very social, and very vocal. They naturally congregate into flights that live together. These flights gather around singular individuals of strong charisma, and are bound by the respect for this individual and their leadership. Squabbles may occur, but it is exceedingly rare for wyverns to leave their flights because of it. They have many natural predators, and they find safety in numbers.

The Realm

The wyverns reside on a small island, long isolated from continental areas. Varied habitats allow for a diverse range of creatures to flourish. The wyverns, being a clever and adaptable species, are found virtually everywhere.

Your role on this island is a new leader, a wyvern who has recently left your parent flight and is ready to form a flight of your own. You will have to work hard to raise and recruit members, and guide them to be strong and successful.

Rules
- Entries that do not use the form will not be counted.
- Leaving the preference list portion of the form blank will drop you to the bottom of the choice list if you win.
- You may enter for yourself or proxy for someone else, but not both.
- Editing of posts is absolutely forbidden. If you've forgotten something, repost with a note that you did so.
- The payment is 2k if you win.

This website is an optional supplement to the shop, where you can sign up and forage or explore with your flight of wyverns. They will be able to gain levels, acquire breeding bonuses, and even find items or eggs, all outside of regular shop events.

Breeding Rules

Please read these rules before breeding your wyverns. Rules for claiming a breeding slot along with any available bonuses will be posted at the time of the breeding, but these rules are standard.

* Although wyverns may identify with a male or female (or even neuter) pronoun, they are essentially hermaphroditic in nature. No 'gender' restrictions exist.

* Wyverns have a strong aversion to breeding with relatives. If they are related at a grandparent level or closer they won't breed.

* Wyverns cannot breed until they have been out of the shell for at least one week.

* Breeding costs 2k per parent. Breeding also produces one egg per parent. Unless offered as a bonus, wyverns breed in pairs, and only one pair at a time per flight.

* A flight will only be able to keep one egg per pairing. If you own both parents, you can keep one egg and find another owner for the second.

* If you wish to request a bonus for a breeding, both wyverns in the partnership will have to use a bonus to gain the special effect.

* A wyvern is not limited in how many times it can breed, but after it lays an egg it will have to sit out on the following breeding period.

Customs are currently closed.


At the moment custom wyverns for your flight are not available. But every owner gets to create a custom character, the flight leader they can choose to RP with. Since art of these characters are being planned for, here are some guidelines to go by when creating your leader.

* Leaders can be larger than their followers, but it's not a requirement.
* Leaders have more flexible colour patterning than regular flight members.
* Leaders can have a variety of different shaped head horns.
* At this point leaders will not be wearing any accessories.
* You may only have one Leader per person.

When a wyvern branches off from it's parent flight to form one of it's own, it trades the prospect of mates and family for that leadership. These leaders won't be able to participate in breeding.

Why is my wyvern not on the Owner's List?
- In the interest of keeping things simple, only certed wyverns are on the list.

Why is my wyvern not certed or on the website?
- In order to have a wyvern added or certed, you must make a request in this thread.

There's now a little, uhh, thing under my wyvern's info on the supplemental site, what does that mean?
- It's actually an egg! Your wyvern has gained a level, and now has a bonus egg. These eggs can be used for special bonuses during breedings, such as gaining an extra egg, or automatically earning a slot, depending on the breeding. You can accumulate bonus eggs, and one will be removed every time your wyvern is involved in a breeding.

I've found a lost egg, what now?
- When you find an egg (or a treasure), the notification at the top of the page will ask if you want to buy it. If you do, click on the link and it will let us know what you are buying. Please send a trade to the mule for the correct amount of gold as promptly as possible here on Gaia, so we can grant you the item.
