Site FAQ
"Why use the site for my wyverns?"Playing on the site is an alternative way to earn things that may be offered in shop events, such as breeding bonuses, advantages in wyvern competitions, and treasures that can affect breeding outcomes. Also, the site calculates and organizes things quickly and easily for the staff members, and in the event of unforeseen circumstances, the users won't be penalized for staff inactivity.
"How do I start playing?"Just go to the site and click Create an Account at the bottom. When creating your account, please do not use the same password as you use here on Gaia, and make sure you save it or write it down somewhere as there is no way to recover it if you forget. When you have created an account please PM your username to this account on Gaia.
"Can I have more than one account?"No, only one account is allowed per owner. If you want to separate your wyverns for sorting or RP characters, we suggest creating a journal for that purpose.
"Where are my wyverns?"When you earn a wyvern or egg through a sale or event, you can post it in the Add to Site Request thread and the staff will manually add it to the database. Once it is in, you can start foraging with it.
"I have a wyvern recieved as a holiday gift, can I use that on the site?"You can! Just post it in the
Add to Site Requests thread as normal.
"Why are updates so slow?"Although the site features like foraging and leveling are automatic, all the art is done manually as per the usual for B/C shops. The time taken to update the site with new wyverns or eggs is only an extension of the time taken to post growths and event pets.
"If I name my wyverns, do they get tags?"Yep! Just post a cert request in
this thread and one will be done up for you.
"What does foraging do?"Foraging is how you level up your wyverns. The nicer the food they bring back, the more appealing they are to other wyverns. When your wyvern brings back enough fruit to gain a level, you can claim a guaranteed breeding slot the next time they open. When your wyvern is foraging it might also find special treasures, or even lost wyvern eggs.
"There's now a little egg under my wyvern's info, what does that mean?"Your wyvern has gained a level, and now has a bonus egg. These eggs can be used for special bonuses during breedings, such as gaining an extra egg, or automatically earning a slot, depending on the breeding. You can accumulate eggs, and one will be removed every time your wyvern is involved in a breeding.
"Why are there limits on my foraging?"After three expeditions, wyverns become too tired of flying out and bringing back food, so they are limited to only three forages a day. As an owner, you start with three opportunities to forage and gain an additional opportunity every time you add a new wyvern to your flight. These are reset nightly, so you can level up your wyverns how you see fit.
"What if I find an egg or a treasure, and how will I know?"When you find an egg or a treasure, the notification at the top of the page will ask if you want to buy it. If you do, click on the link and it will let us know what you are buying. Please send a trade for the correct amount of gold as promptly as possible here on Gaia, so we can grant you the item.
"Where is my inventory?"Currently items are monitored here on Gaia, since this is where breedings are arranged and scheduled. Your items will be added to the Inventory thread once trades or events are finalized.
"Why are there no fruits in my inventory?"Wyverns eat the fruit, of course. :3
"What if there is a bug on the site?"Let us know through the bug report thread (
Thar Be Monsters), and Grey will look into any issues that come up. This is especially important for our beta testers, anything weird happening should be corrected before the shop goes live.
