Ayn nearly jumped out of her skin when the woman snapped at her from the ground. She might have even passed out, but instead, she gripped the bars of the cage, and quickly turned to face the girl. She gasped and held her heart, eyes wide open as she stared through the darkness at Resuia. Her silver eyes nearly glowed in what little light the the cages had. She could feel her heart stammering in her chest, as she held herself up with her hand on the cage bars. Ayn didn't realize it, but she was still awake, which was something of a breakthrough. Perhaps it was just luck because she'd just had a very long nap.

"S....Sorry. I didn't.....know." She stuttered, taking a big gulp and scanning the girl's features. "What's going on?....Do you know why we're in here?" She looked on the girl, hopefully.

She hadn't noticed the awkward scent from Resuia's mess wafting in the air, but it was possible there wasn't even a scent. After all, it was fairly recent and the poor girl had done what she could have to clean herself up.

Ayn blinked, and looked around her surroundings, fully, for the first time since having woken up. "Where are we?...." She tried to remain calm, speaking in her river-like voice. The sound of her voice like waves on a shore. Quiet, but steady and calm.

Červený Lliure Queryt

═══════════════════════════════════════

Stop changing your mind, it's doing my head in.

═══════════════════════════

Červený watched with slight fascination as Willa zoomed past her and voraciously attacked the biscuits. She observed silently - as though a hidden shadow - the way she ravaged the plate like a shark during a feeding frenzy, teeth snapping and chewing. She moved on from one biscuit to another with a surprising agility, in a race spurred by hunger and desperation, a race to finish as many cookies as possible, a race against no one in particular. Suddenly Willa paused and looked up at Červený with guilt and embarrassment plastered on her face, which was now pink as a warm blush shaded her cheeks. She muttered an apology and stood up slowly, struggling with balance. "Hey, slow down," Červený said softly. "There's still some food left, and I'm not going anywhere anytime soon." She walked over to the kettle and lifted it. A soft sloshing sound indicated that it was nearly full of water, and she could feel heat radiating from it. "Go ahead, I've already heated some water earlier, and I can't exactly remember why I did that, so just use it. You might want to clean yourself up a bit though," she gestured at the washroom. "I could lend you a dress for now...?" she offered awkwardly, glancing at her bag slumped at the foot of her bed.

She poured the hot liquid from the kettle into a bucket on the table. Wispy steam rose from it in white, tantalizing formations. Červený waved her hand through it, grabbing a handful in vain and it dissipated, teasingly dancing about, elusive and fragile and warm and mysterious all at the same time. When the bucket was almost filled to the brim, she shook the kettle again. The sloshing sound persisted, except it was much louder this time. Nearly empty. She emptied the remaining water into a mug and sprinkled in a few tea leaves from a small box retrieved from her bag. She passed the warm mug to Willa. "Drink up, it's herbal tea, fascinatingly soothing. I'm afraid I don't have any sugar at the moment though, but it should be quite sweet enough on its own, there's a load of crushed berries in there..." She bent down and picked up her fallen paintbrush from the wooden floorboards. She balanced it between her twirling fingers, lost in thought. Memories of her own journey from six years ago floated into her mind.

She had wandered deep into a forest, terribly lost and delirious and on the brink of unconsciousness until a strange young man appeared out of nowhere and rescued her. He brought her to his camp and nursed her back to health with the help of an equally mysterious lady. They were an odd pair, no more than half a decade older than her, perhaps, and viewed life in their own unique manner. Červený grew a strange attachment to the couple. She knew that she couldn't stay with them forever and left before her attachment grew too strong. Actually, maybe they were what inspired her to help a random stranger herself, after all they had done the same. Nowadays they communicated through letters but even these were rare, few and far in between. However, she was going to receive something from them quite soon now, the reason she had been waiting in that dreary little village for nearly a month now. The prospect of receiving it excited her, but honestly, one month was far too long in her opinion.

Červený made her way to the window and closed it. Cold, flawed glass met her palms and the bumpy surface sucked away the warmth from her fingers. She pushed the curtains out of the way. The roughly sewn material chafed between her fingers and a thread or two snagged out. A relatively small easel and canvas was revealed, a half finished painting decorating the white material. The painting covered the canvas with indefinite shades and swathes of colour. Large blank smudges dotted the unfinished work. The young woman yawned and tucked the brush behind her ear. There was no inspiration for her, she had no incentive to continue. She raised her arms to stretch and then suddenly froze halfway. How could she have forgotten? It was everywhere. She whirled around to face Willa excitedly. "Do you like magic?"

Willa Odette Wilafax

"I am not fat!"
" Oh that?.......is just....a...watermelon I stole..."

Come one Willa...just sleep. Ignore the smell. Just ignore it.
Willa had never really been treated with such kindness. It was strange. She wasn’t sure how to feel or if to trust. Jiles had been nice to her before he had started beating the hell out of her. The farmers had been kind of nice when they had gave her ice and simply suggested that she “ stop doing things to make him angry”. She looked at the woman and knew she couldn’t afford to turn herself away. She wiped some remaining crumbs off her face and looked around and then let her eyes rest on the girl as she offered her more and more things. She would be careful. She moved forward with the rag as she filled the bucket.

“Thank you. “
She said biting lower lip. She watched her fill the bucket and shook her head. The dress she had was giving her a rash, but it wasn’t a good idea. She smiled and blushed a little bit. “ No thanks you...I’m sure your clothes are too small for me. “ She said holding the rag over the steaming water. She eyed the woman for a moment. Then focused on the water for a second and using a magic, that she had little practice with, called the hot water to the towel so she would not have to dip her hands in the bucket, dirtying the water. She looked at her hostess, wondering if she had noticed. If the farmer or the farmer's wife had seen her do that she would have been hit harder than she knew how to handle. She associated using her gift with that. Even now she expected a hand to sweep down and slap her. She looked at the space that had been pointed out as the washroom and walked carefully over with the hot wet towel in her hands.

This time she sat in the chair, using the back of it to hold the towel firmly in place against her back. She groaned as the heat began to radiate through her aching body. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes and relieved smile spread across her face. That felt nice. She didn’t care that she getting the back of her dress wet. She leaned back to hold the towel in place and blinked her eyes open to see Červený holding a mug to her. She took it slowly and sipped. This also had a soothing effect. It seemed to be doing the towels job from the inside out. “Thank you, Ms Cherry.” She said softly moving the mug only slightly away from her lip to speak.

Willa watched in wonder as the woman produced on unfinished painting and smiled. “ Wow.” Willa said looking over. “ That’s awful pretty.” She said smiling. She had always wondered what it was to paint. The farmer always uses to paint signs for his eggs. She couldn’t do it. She couldn’t read or spell so it would have been silly. The the woman spoke to her again and the question left her feeling confused. Did she like magic? “ Um...I don’t know much about magic...not enough to like.” She said looking at her curiously.

"You put that hand on my belly.....you are not getting it back."

The woman still said nothing about payment, but they wouldn't be able to barter anyway. The lady couldn't hear, yet she had to be able to see them. She seemed willing to help, but they had to find the bodies first. Well if Rachelle was right he would know where they were right. They couldn't just follow him. She wasn't sure how to tell her that though.
She was trying to find a silent means of communication when Rachelle let out a cry, yanking his hand from Nesa's. She was gazed around the room to try and find what caused his out burst when she saw the grey creature. Surely that couldn't be it though. To think that Rachelle would be scared of a small creature like that seemed odd. He backed away from it as if it carried the plague and fell down the stairs in the process. Nesa quickly went to check on him. She looked up at Caden as he passed registering his eyebrow quirk. She wasn't sure about it either.

Nesa hovered at the door as Caden helped Rachelle to his feet giving him some consoling words, before going after the woman. Rachelle walked to Nesa. “Sorry. If I scared you.” He said in his broken speech.

“Oh, it's okay. I was just worried.”
At the top of the stairs she was a eye level with him. She felt rather tall. She thought about joking with him about being scared, but decided not to. She didn't want to poke fun and he was allowed to have his fears. “Come on then,” She said stepping down. He was back to towering over her now. “We should go before they leave us behind.”

“I have. Something to do.” He said choppily. His speech had improved a little in the past few days, but he still wasn't very fluid when he talked. “You go them.” He said pointing.

“You're going by yourself?” She said confused. Didn't Caden say they needed to stick together? “I can come with you.” He shook his head. Nesa bit her lip, thinking. She really didn't want Rachelle to go by himself. He could take care of himself after being alone for so long, but that's why she wanted him to stay with the group. He had been alone so long , being with people would be good for him. She couldn't force him though. If he wanted to leave he could.

“Are you sure you don't want me to come?” She question hoping he might change his answer. He nodded his head and Nesa looking after the group that was walking away. “Alright,” She said turning back. “Be careful okay?” She said then went on her tip toes and gave him a peck on the cheek. “We still have to get ours bodies back.” She said smiling and he smile back. She wasn't sure, but she thought he was blushing a bit.

She waved to him and started walking towards the group. She glanced back and saw him walking away and her smile fell. She watched him walk for a little while then turned and ran to catch up with the others. She hoped that wouldn't be the last time she saw him.

═══════════════════════════════════════

Stop changing your mind, it's doing my head in.

═══════════════════════════

Červený raised an eyebrow. Her clothes were too small for Willa? They were the same height! At least without her boots. Well maybe Willa wasn't as thin, but she was sure there would be something that would fit. Maybe that pretty green dress she had bought a few months ago that turned out to be a little too baggy for her... She was thinking of throwing that away. Wouldn't it be better if she gave it away instead? Then she noticed the stranger sit down and apply a hot compress, fashioned from a rag, on her back. It was dripping wet and trickles of water was sneaking down the back of the dress, lightly drenching it. Well, she was smiling. She seemed happier, even if soaked. But when the water cooled, Willa could catch a cold, and oh no, no, no, that was definitely not what she - or anyone else she could think of, for that matter - would want to happen at all. Too troublesome. Now how could she convince the younger girl to wear that dress...

Willa said something and broke off her train of thought. "Wa- huh? Oh, your welcome! And there's no need to be so formal and call me miss, either." she replied hastily. She had wandered over to the painting at this point, and was feeling secretly pleased that Willa took a liking to the half-completed artwork. "Thank you, I sell my paintings for a living, there's not much a girl can do in a place like this." she mused, the last part half to herself. "There'll be a show in a few hours at the village square, maybe you've seen the advertisements around. Perhaps you might want to come with me? It could be... fun," she finished lamely. The words felt awkward on her tongue. When was the last time she enjoyed an evening out without an escort or a family member tailing her? Never. When was the last time she was even allowed to go outside with a friend? Did she even have friends back then? Slightly flustered, she pulled out a swishy, loose grass green dress from her bag. "I'm just going to leave this here," she placed it on the bed, "I'm thinking of throwing it out, it's a tad too big for me. Unless..." She searched Willa's face, waiting for a reaction.

Willa Odette Wilafax

"I am not fat!"
" Oh that?.......is just....a...watermelon I stole..."

Willa took a deep breath and nodded as Červený told her to be more informal. She smiled and tried to put her mind in a proper state to do that. She fiddled with her own fingers in her lap nervously. She looked up with wide eyes as her new friend invited her out. She waved her hands in front of her smiling and shaking her head.

“ Oh....naw....” she said leaning forward to slap her playfully on the shoulder. “ You don’t want to take me nowhere. You don't want to go nowhere with me. Folk around here don’t like me. “ She went to picking at the skirt her raggy, brown dress . “ You don’t want me there.” She said looking at the woman and finishing up her tea. She took a deep breath and moved her hand to her relaxed, but still sore back. It felt much better. She gave a short smile and watched as the artist got up and produced a green dress. Nerves built up in her as she watched. That was the prettiest dress that she had ever seen. Her mouth went dry at the sight of it. It made her plain brown dress look like a potato sack. It was actually burlap and it gave her rashes on a regular basis. She itched a particularly nasty one her side. Her eyes bugged at her words. “ naw...Y..you can’t throw that away...” She said looking down then back at the nice fabric. Oh... it was so pretty. The color was her favorite. She blinked and looked up. “ You mean I could have it....?” She bit her lower lip and shook off her disbelief. She stood slowly and went over to the woman. She looked at the dress on the bed. “ Well...I...mean... if you don’t want it i could...take it and maybe i could squeeze in ...” She picked up the dress and held it to herself. The truth was that, other than the bump, she and Červený were about the same size. She would give it a try.

“That there... you say is the washroom?” She said pointing to the small room she had indicated earlier before going on in with the dress and closing the door. She pulled off her dress, shivering as she did so. She looked down at the green dress. That softness of the fabric made her tingle. She bit her lower lip and changed. The softness hugged her and her whole body tingled. Her rash felt slightly soothed and she pulled it down, loosening it the best that she could over the small hump on her front. He stared down at it and decided that it hid it well enough. Only the tallest part of her bump pressed against the fabric. Somebody would have to look really hard to tell. She nodded and balled up her old dress.

She was about to walk out of the washroom when something moved within her. She gasped.Panic flared with in her. What was happening? Her breathing picked up and she put a hand on her bump and backed against the wall. It was just the baby kicking, but she didn’t know that. The farmer’s wife has never talked to her about anything and she had never been around pregnant people enough to know much. Was that supposed to happen? She took a deep breath and walked out of the washroom and to her back. She stuffed her old dress into the bag and gasped as she was standing as the movement happened again. It didn’t hurt. It was just a soft little nudge from inside of her. It terrified her. What did this mean was something wrong? Fear set in her eyes and tears threatened. She held them back and turned her back to her hostess. What was she going to do?

The scholar gave Aria a confused looked. He’d assumed that she was called madam numerous times in her line of work, madams was what you called the more expensive brothel girls, those who charged a king's ransom to spend the night with. He retraced the conversation he had and recalled that she had only alluded to that type of work,he had filled in the blanks himself. lifting his hand to his chin he game a small “hmm” sound and nodded, only as a second thought declaring to acquiesces to her wishes.
Of course I can cease with the madame, but I do not know you well enough to forgo the use of formalities, Would you prefer miss instead?” He asked watching her kneel to the ground in front of the cat.

As much as he was curious as to her actual occupation, Arin was now more worried of her female sensibilities and adoring of all things fluffy to get her ensnared in creatures trap. whatever that may be.

He stooped next to her in a fluid motion and pulled her up with him gently, if she struggled she would be able to get away from him.He did not want to force her , but he did want her to know not to let her guard down around the creature. He leaned in close. and though he knew that felines had remarkable hearing, he tried his best to keep his voice to a whisper, mouth brush her ear when he spoke.

It is not what it appears to be” He said. he hoped that she would understand not to get to close to it before they were in a large group and no sooner. But if he had to....No forcing the creature into its true form, would only aim to have him abuse a cat and look a fool.Still holding onto her shoulders, Arin looked to Kemun who was still with them. She seemed unhappy about going back to the Caravan. He had noticed that she had broken a instrument of important to her.

Maybe Miss Kemun after,Miss Aria has found her Velius companion, I can bring you back to search for another pipe or the supplies you need to make another yourself”He’d began moving again gently guiding his blind companion in slow steps away from the not a cat.

Halima fiddled with her freshly healed and a little, staring down at the dirt as Jon stumbled over his words, trying, it seemed to her, get out of having her give him the only thing she could give him exchange for the sweet smelling ointment. Finally looking up at him, she noticed his rather sad eyes and uncomfortable stance. She wasn't an expert on body language , but Jon looked like he was about ready to flee from where they stood to get away from her. She furrowed in confusion a little and returned her gaze to the ground in shame, of course Jon would not want to be alone with her now, he was... a bard, and they tended to attract, and make their means from swooning women’s. Halima had to reflect on on own actions for a bit, it must have been embarrassing for him to have the woman he was escorting flee in her tragic jealousy like that infront of someone he was wooing.

The more nervous and confused she got the more she fiddled with her hands, and avoided looking at Jon.Pushy, obnoxious, clingy and jealous, we're all words that ran through her head as she berated herself. She liked Jon, she really did, but she would not be, could not be someone who could take being replaced so easily with a grain of salt.

Maybe its for the best then” She said looking up at him when he talked about her type. She shook her head a little at him.She didn't have a type did she? She had not been raised to be sensual or flirty.Atticus had brought her up to use her talents of healing and only that, her experience with men lay on the physical level of that aspect. She was naive to romance, unfamiliar with attachments, and she was becoming quite attached to Jon.

If it will be a problem for you I can find another place to stay” Anywhere but with Arin, She would end up taking her own life if it ended up like there. She had barely caught Jons quite transparent accusation of her sexual orientation. She may not have caught it, except he quickly tried to cover up his initial phrase.

Jonathan?” She said tilting her head at him a little.
I hope you do not think I prefer the companionship of women rather then men”She pressed her lips together and frowned, she wasn't sure what she had done to make him think that. Her reluctance to fall into him in wanton passion from his sweet words? had that automatically labeled her as someone who desired females?

I have little experience with either to know which I prefer, and does gender matter at all if you love them? is your ego so big that if a woman does not throw themselves at you then they must not like men at all” Her voice was getting high, the only sign that she was slightly upset. Why was she so upset? She did not want to be just another notch on Jon’s walking stick of women.

I...I am sorry for my words...please I have to go” She had to go or she’d let petty emotions take over her again.

The cat was rather enjoying all of his attention. When Kemun stood, Velius did the same and circled around her feet merrily until she stepped past him in the direction of the caravan. What else was there to do besides shopping had been the question. Velius was surprised, but showed no sign of it as he padded towards the Shahrazadian and looked up at the scholar with eyes wide and innocent. He supposed it made sense. In a town like Lenti where most news reached ears by word of mouth, it would have been all the more difficult for travellers to find out about events that happened on the day of arrival. And unless these three had stepped inside a tavern and observed its noticeboards, it was unlikely that they would have spotted the posters that would have informed them about the Mage's show that his love for magic had him so very curious about.

He stared at Aria and her proffered piece of meat blankly for a few seconds, as a common cat would have, before advancing towards the treat and accepting it graciously. It was a delicious treat indeed. Without having intensively studied the anatomy of the feline prior to taking its form, there would have been no way that he could have held the food down. Shape-shifting was not only a matter of pure and blind magic, of which could only build the foundation, namely the outer layer, of the guise. One had to add a bit of science to it as well to make the most out of it, to shape the insides and to learn the proper mannerisms of the creatures of study. No cat would ever pass up dried meat, and fortunately for him, he didn't have to break his mask.

A content purr coursed his being as she scolded him. He latched onto the news of the seer's search for him with interest. He wanted to know why, but she never spoke the reason. So, in spite of the scholar's efforts, the not-a-cat would walk alongside the rest of the group anyway, periodically glancing up sweetly at the suspicious man all the while. Why are you so insistent on hating me so? Velius queried silently, innocently. Kemun seemed fond of the cat and the man was digging himself a grave with his persistence on the topic of formalities with Aria, so Velius doubted the girls would mind the cat as much as the man did. Instead, his concern was on the well-being of the merchant woman's trademark pipe. There must have been a grave mishap for it to have been damaged, and he wondered at that.

No one knew it, but with their current route, the group would most definitely run into Medayo and her ghost train.

                                    _____________________________

The caravan was parked at the foot of the hill that the village rested on. To the side were the woods that Willa had been threatened to be tossed into, at least until her punishment was lowered to that of a lost extremity. The caravan was using the forest's canopy as shade.

From within the thicket, a bellow interrupted the travelling bard and his female companion's discourse. Two of something, each the size of a very large buffalo, perhaps a tad larger, charged out of the trees with the gusto of a speeding horse in the direction of the caravan and rammed themselves into the rear of a lone wagon. The vehicle rolled a little distance, but a small slope of the ground made it pick up speed and smash violently into the wall of trees. A flock of birds flew out of the leafy tops, eager to escape from the carnage that would ensue.

Two long horns grew out of the creature's head. A snake's body and head floated out their rear ends to make a tail. One of the bull like creatures' attention was drawn to the forest and it charged into the mass without any hesitation. The second one had its beady eyes on the two lingering by the rest of the intact caravan.

It glared at the two humans with extreme prejudice before rearing its ugly head. It made its horrible bellow again before beginning its charge at them at breakneck speed.

After walking a few paces down the street, she paused to wait for the others. Standing patiently, she ran the edges of her sash through her fingers and regarded a nearby shop with vague interest. She listened quietly as Aria expressed her desire to keep the cat, but the merchant didn’t hear the man’s response. Personally, she wasn’t against the idea of taking the animal in. It seemed well-mannered enough, but she couldn’t be certain if a cat would enjoy caravan lifestyle. Judging from her own experience, it could be very unpredictable.

When the seer’s companion offered to bring her back into town to look for a pipe, she half-turned to look back at the him. “Truly? Thank you, that’s kind. I’ll take you up on that offer.” Despite her surprise, she smiled broadly at the gesture. She lacked the skill to craft a new pipe for herself, but she was confident a suitable replacement could be found. She only hoped he knew his way around Lenti better than she did. “I didn’t catch your name, sir,” Kemun added, falling in step with the pair. “After what happened earlier, we might very well run into more trouble. If we’re attacked by ruffians or thieves, I fully expect you to be the gentleman who fights them off.”

She was only joking, of course, making light of that unsettling incident. Humor aside and in all seriousness, if their bad luck did persist, then it was likely misfortune would find them again. Her worries weren’t great, and that was mostly because she knew she didn’t have to wander alone through an unfamiliar marketplace. “Your business takes precedence, Aria,” she then said, looking to the seer. “When that’s taken care of, would you mind if I borrowed him awhile? It shouldn’t take very long to find what I need.”

Resuia wanted to slap the woman for being so blissfully ignorant. How come she didn’t go through the ALBRIND panic method? That just wasn’t fair was she the only normal human being on the darn caravan? It served her right for being scared by the courtesan who sat in the corner of their cell chamber thing with a look of vengeance in her eyes. Whatever had taken her here was going to pay very very dearly. She didn't know how she was going to do this, but she would, and most certainly not for the sake of this airhead.

She threw the straw whatever she wiped herself with out through the bars and crouched once again in her corner. Panic was starting to set in and she could feel her hands become clammy, and cold sweat run down her neck. She stared at the girl blankly. The girl had to fist her hair just to stop herself from brutally beating the woman. “Short answer is I don’t know.” The girl supposed she ought to be grateful that she wasn't alone though. That one factor would have made this whole experience absolutely painful, hate was marginally better.

She sniffed her surrounding air and found that she didn’t smell too terrible, it was justly covered by the mossy wet cave smell of the place they were stuck in and so she stood and patted the nasty whatevers off her back end. “Long answer is that we were carried off by monkey kidnappers while you were sleepwalking in an alley way…” Maybe she didn't hate her so much as she was frustrated by her lack of reaction. She wanted to see the girl at least cry. Just a little.

Ayn stared at Resuia taking in everything she was saying in a slow manner. In fact, she simply stared blankly, with an exception to a few blinks, until it thoroughly stuck her. She eventually nodded her head, and looked at the bars, scanning the darkness for a key...or a person? Or, a monkey kidnapper, as Resuia so plainly put it. She could barely see anything outside of the cell, except for gray.

With a long sigh, she turned toward Resuia, looking at the wall behind them for a window, or a slot or something. Maybe they could call for help, but it didn't seem very likely. Next, she checked the cell floor. She searched for a grate, or a vent or something, but all she could find was dampness. After another moment of silence she took to examining the water. It had to have gotten in there, somehow. There wasn't exactly any facilities for which the water might have come from. No sinks, so it was obviously getting in somehow. If the foundation was weak enough for the water to get through, maybe it would be weak enough to break.

"I'm sorry. What were you doing in the Alley way? I do hope you weren't brought there by me. I'd hate to be the reason you're stuck here...."

She began to crawl around the ground, coming to the moss which was, by nature and science, doing what plants and other things did best. It was causing what little bits of wear and tear on the place that it could, being such a gentle plant. However, it didn't seem like anything her and Resuia could break down.

She let out a loud sigh, and took a seat up against the wall. She didn't imagine there really WAS a way out, other than those steal bars, but it was worth a shot. She hung her head in a 'I give up' sort of manner. Eventually she shrugged. There was no point in panicking, since that wouldn't help. She didn't see any point in fighting it, yet. They had nothing to fight with, only themselves, and either way, now wasn't a time to fight. She only had the means to wait for something to happen.

"Well, since we're here..." she began, bluntly, "My name is Ayn. Since we're probably going to be here for a while, we should at least get to know eachother. Who knows, we might end up making a great team, whenever those monkey guards come back.....so...." she shrugged, "Who might you be?"

She couldn't sense the dislike Resuia had for her. She didn't know how to read such things, especially in such situations. Even if she hadn't been as clueless as she was, she never would have guessed it was directed at her. She smiled, softly at Resuia, unbeknownst to her Albrind panic method.

Červený Lliure Queryt

═══════════════════════════════════════

Stop changing your mind, it's doing my head in.

═══════════════════════════

Červený blinked as Willa's blunt statement about people not liking her was stated so nonchalantly. Hmm. So it seemed that little miss Willa was quite used to that sort of treatment. Interesting. "What are you talking about? Do you really care about the opinion of these narrow minded people? It's not like you've done anything wrong. Besides, of course I want you there, why else would I invite you along? I... Well... Think about it." Červený sniffed and rubbed her nose. She shuffled to her painting and picked up a small tube of paint, squirting out a teeny tiny blob of warm yellow ochre. It clung on to the canvas persistently and she gave it an experimental prod with the tip of her paintbrush. The bristles tickled the liquid button and it wriggled and wobbled like jelly on a plate. She poked it again, spreading it out into scratchy sweeps of golden. Honestly she had no idea what she was doing anymore, all she thought of as she mindlessly moved the brush around was the alarmingly deplete state of her money bag. It painfully reminded her that she had spent too much and earned too little. It was so annoying, having to actually work for things. She still wasn't completely used to it, she was so spoilt it repulsed her.

She nodded and pointed to the washroom when she heard Willa's voice mention it. The sound seemed far-off and hazy, as if her ears weren't sure whether to listen to it or not. Červený was distracted by a soft rustling sound - presumably Willa trying on the dress - followed by a little 'thump' sound as Willa backed up invisibly against the wall. There was a soft gasp. Gosh, what was she doing? The walls were too thin - noises could easily pass from room to room. They gave away many things but still left room for imagination. Hopefully she didn't fall unconscious in there or anything, she did look awfully tired... She tilted her head a little to the right. "Willa... Does it fit? Are you alr-" Her sentence was cut short as Willa appeared from the washroom, clad in soft green fabric with a ragged dress in hand.

Červený was rather pleased to see that her castaway had fitted her 'sister' better than  it had fitted her. Her new friend flitted by her without a word and stuffed the earth coloured mass into her bag. There was another gasp, louder this time, and she averted her gaze. Strange. Her face seemed rather panicked, and pale, or maybe it was just the lighting. For some reason, Červený's heartbeat quickened. The way it usually did when something was a little off. "I... Um. Willa? Are you feeling fine? Your face is a tad pale, would you like to go to get anyone fresh air? I have a friend who lives near the town square, and he knows quite a bit about medicine if you're feeling under the weather. If there's anything wrong you could tell me." She had to add in that last past. Curiosity had slowly won over her inquisitive mind. Damn, Willa wasn't allergic to anything she just ate or drank, right? Did Červený accidentally give her the mixture of dried poisonous plants instead of tea? That would be a disaster. Major oopsie.

Willa Odette Wilafax

"I am not fat!"
" Oh that?.......is just....a...watermelon I stole..."

Willa kept her back to Cerveny as she stood there. Fear radiated through her body causing arms and hands to shake. Was the baby in trouble? Was she in trouble? Her heartbeat was out of control. She racked her mind, searching for anything that she could use, any tidbit of information that could help her figure out something. She tried to think of anything and everything she knew about babies , but nothing was coming to her. She peeked back at the woman who had showed her kindness that day. Then back down at her hands as she spoke. Willa listened and shook a shaky fearful breath. This baby, although she knew nothing of how it grew, or how to care for it when it arrived, meant everything to her. It was all she had. The only one that would ever love her. If something was wrong, If the baby was taken away from her. She wouldn’t be able to bare it.

Willa had been about to interject and tell her that everything was fine. Then she said something about a friend and medicine. They could surely help her. Willa looked up at Cerveny and bit her lower lip. She had to tell her about the baby. The risk of something being wrong with the baby was of greater importance than the risk of Jiles finding out she was pregnant. Willa whimpered openly and lowered herself on the bed. She looked at Cerveny , her eyes large and wet with fear and tears. Her voice shook as she spoke.

“M...Miss Cherry. I..I...got ...I got a baby in me. And...I... I don’t k..kn...know... what happened, but it...it was like... a...something...it moved in me.”
She said looking at Cerveny, her eyes screaming for help. She didn’t know about the little harmless things that children do inside their mothers before they were born. She didn’t know that it was nothing and the thought that it might be something was tearing her apart. Tears rolled down her cheeks. “ Does your friend know..about babies, Miss Cherry?” She said before crying softly. The tears rolled heavy down her cheeks.

"You put that hand on my belly.....you are not getting it back."
