In the beginning there was a single man who , in his grief, became something more then human. He traded his grief for immortality and his despair for reign over the darkness. He became the first vampire, but certainly not the last. He spent years mastering his powers and his own thirst. In these years he created several vampires, and established a stronghold in Romania. The king , however, soon began to cave into madness. On the eve of his two hundredth year of life, he walked into the sun. When he perished, his children were left with nothing other then chaos. Without a leader, they split off into ground, traveling around the world. Each group set up their own stronghold and these strongholds became the five covens. The vampires soon after created a new type of vampire , the born.

The born became the new standard for vampires. They were stronger, faster, and far more powerful then turned vampires. The vampires fought among themselves, establishing territories and forgetting their roots. Theys spent centuries hiding from humans, being plagued by their own banishment from the daylight. Humans became the dominant species, forcing the vampires into the abyss of darkness. They were forced to adapt, establishing businesses and influencing governments. They now fed from bags provided by blood banks. The vampires were weakening, no longer the powerful creatures they once were.

In what seemed to be a slow descent into extinction, a chance was provided for the vampires to redeem themselves. From each of the five covens, a child was born. This child was gifted with a single ability that made that child far more powerful then any other in their coven. Together the five children, possess the five of the six original powers of the king. Now grown, the covens have decided to send the children to their motherland, Romania. It is here that the children, now fully grown, will attempt to unite their covens in the hope of resorting their race. Can the children unite or will they fall to madness? Can they control their gifts or will their gifts devour them? If they can unite their covens, how will they rule the vampire race?

| Bella was born two-hundred and fifty-seven years ago, to a warrior and a handmaiden in the South American coven. When her parents married her mother assumed the same rank as her husband, but continued to work as a handmaiden. She was an only child, but like all the other children in the South American coven, she grew up in the forest surrounded by nature. She grew up learning the ways of the forest, and of hunting. From the moment she was able, her father was teaching her how to hunt and fight, skills very vital for the South American coven who live in a more remote and less developed area. They had few humans around, and less modern influences, meaning that their coven was kept in the dark. They spoke little english, and drank only from animals and the occasional tourist who walked to deep in the forest at night. They were the creatures of nightmare that the locals feared and respected. And when Isabela froze into her immortality around her nineteenth year, she was at the height of her beauty. Beauty was a female vampire's greatest weapon and defense, which is why the freeze into their immortality at the peak of their beauty. Yet, around the same year, Isabela noticed her skin itching. It felt tight, almost as if she were being strangled by her own skin.

In the dark of the night, her body shifted, and she became a jaguar. Her parents were astonished and immediately brought her to their coven leader, who evaluated her. Isabel possessed the gift to change shape into any animal she wished. The coven leader put her into hiding, and for years she trained to control her gift. When she finally was declared safe, she became a warrior and joined her father on hunts, bringing back humans and animals for the coven to drink from. While her coven knew of her ability, they were all sworn to secrecy. Their coven leader was worried that if the other covens found out, they would seek to kill or capture Isabela, but that thought was shattered when the other covens all admitted to having a gifted member of their own. Isabela was informed that she was to be taken to the Romanian stronghold where she would meet the others. The problem? She speaks little english and she hates the cold. She is not really happy to be going. She knows little about the other covens, but she wants to be with her own coven. Home with her parents and friends. But instead, she is being sent away like a child who has done wrong. She is fairly sour about the whole thing ,actually. |

*Extras* Isabela tends to prefer the form of a jaguar or other animal native to her coven's animal population. But she can became anything she wishes.

His father was a pure blood vampire that hypnotized his mother into inviting him into her home one night while her husband was out of town. He had his way with her and had thought that he drained the woman of all life but she managed to survive the night and was found by the maid the next morning. She later found out that she was pregnant. Not wanting her husband to find out and think she cheated she convinced her husband that it was his baby but the time was not right for them to raise a child. Therefore Darius was put up for adoption and passed around from foster him to foster home until he managed to escape and run away from it all.

By the time he was in his early twenties he had already came into his abilities and used them to his full advantage, taking whatever he wanted when ever he wanted. This quickly got him a lot of unwanted attention and he knew he had to find somewhere to lay low for awhile. His traveling lead him to the Romanian Stronghold where others similar to him hid from their skeletons as well. Although the vampires residing her tend to keep to themselves they all play a small part in helping the coven in one way or another.

| Born in a small poor village in South America, life was simple for Soledad. She quickly fell into place within her village leaning how to farm, gather herbs and fruit, sew, cook, and other womanly hobbies passed on by the women of the village and her mother. She was quite the capable woman and even moreso than some of the men, making her quite the sought after commodity. But none of her simple village skills could help in her desire to protect her village. On the occassion, villagers would leave to hunt and gather but never return. No one knew why this was happening but the village elders feared for their saftey. The more people that disappeared, the more the towns people became chaotic. Order had to be restored soon, so the elders took action. A deal was struck with a flourishing town nearby. In exchange for protection, the village would give away their most beautiful, capable women and skilled, strong men. This was when Soledad's life was changed forever. Forced into the exchange, she was given to the other town, never to see her home again, but for Soledad, it was a small price to pay to protect her people.

Soledad was assigned to be a simple handmaiden to one of the females within her new home. She knew little of whom she was to work for, and their habits and mannerisms confused her so. They never asked her to cook food for them despite her extensive cooking skills, and she never saw any of them actually eat food, just drink what she assumed to be red wine. The coven always reeked a foul odor that reminded her of a dead rotting carcass, and she could swear that the people there eyed her strangely. It wasn't the same way men eyed her back in her village, it was almost the way people looked at prey in the forest when they were hunting. Soledad even had a few awkward encounters where one of the coven members seemed to come out of thin air around her when she was alone doing errands. They seemed so confident at first, striking a very eerie conversation with her, but immediately began to show signs of what she could only see as fear. Then they'd just leave, as quick as they came. This left Soledad feeling a mix of fear and lonliness, fear of the original intentions those members had with her, and lonliness from the lack of interactions she had with anyone. The only one she was able to truly talk to and be comfortable around was her master, but being so busy with the coven, Soledad had little time to speak with her on a personal level. When she had initally arrived, Soledad was given a few simple rules: always be loyal to the coven, don't go where you don't belong, and your life is your master's. With this understanding, she waited hand and foot on her Mistress Isabela, followed none of her curious desires about the smells around the building or the strange looks she received or what they actually did all the time, and she obediently stayed to her duties, never once trying to escape or interact with anyone outside the coven. Her new daily routine consisted of her cleaning and de-blooding the weeks hunt, tidying up the mistress's room and anything else she was ordered to clean, running errands for Isabela, helping her with her practice and training, and even covering for her when Isabela snuck out or got in trouble. Her duty is to follow Isabela where ever she may go, and because of this Soledad shall be accompanying Mistress Isabela to the Romanian Stronghold where she wonders if they too will give her strange looks and odd conversations. |

Josette was born to a very influential and rich noble couple of the French coven in Paris. Soon after she was born, the leader of the coven retired, giving his post to the Bijoux family. Her father was a full vampire who fell in love with a mortal woman long ago in ancient Greece. Her mother made the choice to become a vampire and marry her father so that they would be together for an eternity. Centuries after moving to the head quarters of the French Vampire coven, they decided to start a family. Josette was a very spoiled child. her parents indulged her in the finest of everything. Money was never an issue after her parents started up a business in France called Bijoux Diamonds in order to raise funds for the coven and slowly integrate into human society. The family sold jewelry of the highest quality, mined from various spots from around the world. The young girl had her fill of fun, but her parents insisted on her getting the best education she could possible get. So over the years as she matured, the young vampire learned everything from languages, politics, to art and music. As a well cultured young lady, Josette loved to go to operas and in joy human company when appropriate. Blending into human society was a new concept to the coven, but the choice was either adapt or die.

As Josette started to grow into herself, she noticed a feeling of pure energy coursing through her, though she never knew why until one day as she was playing in the fountain in the garden with a friend. The girls laughed as the splashed one another. But as Josette put her hands in the water to splash, the water seemed to move on its own and attacked the girl with a watery blow. The experience not only petrified Josette, but the whole coven as well. No one in the coven had such power. The matter was quickly investigated bring occultist and specialist on super natural powers to the coven to examine the young girl. After many months and test later, it was found that the girl had the power to manipulate the elements. This meant that she was one of the born, a future leader who would bring hope and change to the vampire world.

Idolized by many, Josette grew to be the apple of the covens eye, making it easy to get away with more and more. She insisted on traveling, learning about different cultures and keeping up with all the new forms of technology. her favorite thing was watching the fashion world blossom, especially in her native land of France, the hub of all fashion as it were. She was always careful about going out and changed her identity more than once so she could wonder freely through the human world. But times have changed. It is now time for Josette to embrace her destiny, not only to inherit the business and become leader of the French coven, but to meet with the other born and herald in a new age for all vampires. An age where things will come to light and vampires wouldn't have to stay in the shadows any more.

Rayce comes from a long line of werewolves who have taken up their home in Romania. Being blood born he is stronger and mentally more stable than the wolves that have been transformed later in their lives.

The Romanian pack has were at war with the Romanian vampire coven for a fair amount of time until a treaty was finally put into place. Both sides respectively agreed to keep to their own territories and pay the other no mind. This treaty kept the peace for many centuries until recently young Rayce decided to let curiosity get the best of him. Unfortunately he was spotted by the local coven and has since been captured.
