That aside, Hello!

I have decided to use your adorable lovely Chihiro for my day 21 submission! Even if I don't finish it in time for that, I will just post whatever I have done at that point then finish it up and send you the finished piece! although I have no idea how coloring will go to be honest, depends on how much time I have in my schedule

While I was doodling her I found I had a couple questions about her outfit! Below is what I currently have doodled ( please ignore the random stick arms and stuff xD )



When I was looking at the refs provided does she have flats like in the drawn reference or do you prefer the shoes and socks from the avi ref? Also, for her cape, would you prefer it to be more like the drawn ref or the avi? Also do you want her skirt shorter? xD I'll probably change the shape, at first I thought it was a box pleat but now that I'm looking at it, it doesn't seem that way. Sorry for all the questions! I always ask when people provide an avi and a drawn reference because I know some people have their preferences and I don't want to mess up such an adorable character~

Evocative Enigma

Theme: Finish/Improve

Comments: Alright, so I KNOW I should have taken the time to finish the Circus theme day... but every time I looked at this piece, all I could think about was how much I didn't like the hair, as it didn't look ANYWHERE near as realistic as the rest of the drawing... so I just had to take the time to fix this. I like this version quite a bit more, but I'm not happy with the stars, so I might fudge with them a bit more. Fudged with them, and think I'm calling it good now... LOL

So.... drawing today was dedicated to redrawing the hair/stars. Sadly, I couldn't find the layerd file, (I think I saved over it) so I had to edit on the flat drawing, but I think it turned out better than the original despite not having the layers seperated already.

Also, great joke on 'page 91'. I've hunted down references for DC comics before; I've never actually seen this one, so I'm thinking it's been a gem in a pile of of "Draw Superman/Justice League/etc". Maybe some of you guys could use it. While it does feature mostly superhero's, it has a basic skeleton for DC women as well. Lois Lane ain't donning a cape, but she's certainly not changing gender either. :S

i had my tablet out so i decided to do today's art digitally. i haven't drawn these
two silly gooses in a while... emotion_bigheart arguably includes "are you challenging
me?" because superboy is challenging robin's patience.

Theme: Arabesque/Islamic



Comments: I watched a really interesting documentary on Islamic Calligraphy a while ago so I took my inspiration from that. I googled my username in Arabic and then went to town with copying and rotating it to try and get an Arabesque pattern. The colour scheme is from here.

Weirdly enough it came out looking more Celtic than Arabesque.

I'm trusting that google gave me an adequate translation and I haven't just made art from some profanity!
