While art may have mature themes, because of the Gaia ToS it must remain under (or at) the PG-13 level. So, yes, tastefully suggestive art is welcome but please be responsible. If you are uncertain feel free to PM the mule. Porn is not okay.
Absolutely no plagiarism! Please submit artwork that you have created yourself only! If you are found submitting work that is not your own you will be disqualified from the contest and reported to gaia mods.
No minor photomanips, stock art, tracing, etc. We need to see some work, please.
You may enter collaborations between you and an associate, however, you should figure out how you are splitting any possible prizes you might win before submitting the artwork.
Please make sure to clearly label WIPs.
If you are going to watermark an image to prevent others from stealing your work, please make sure that it does not hinder the over all effect of the artwork. I.E - We do not want to see huge obvious water marks over faces, lovely detail, or costumes. Be discrete. We may not accept an image if we feel your watermark blatantly hinders the quality of your piece.
All artwork is creative property of the artist. However, it will be ours to post at our own will. We WILL NOT claim creation of or edit your artwork EVER. Frankenmuth, Nadyzhda, Saphria201, and Iram will be using these images for roleplay and posting purposes.
You may enter as many pieces as you want.
Artists can win more than one award but a single piece of artwork may not.
Work must be done specifically for this contest. We will not accept art that you've done previously that looks kind of like one of the characters.
Originality is definitely welcomed. We respect all levels of skill and style. While we would like contestants to stick to the characters' descriptions, but please feel free to be creative! Costume designing is strongly encouraged! The characters do not have set attire and each wear many different things.
Be kind, civil and polite. DO NOT insult other people or their artwork! Not everyone will win but we will do our best to appropriately award and thank all who participate! This contest should be fun!
All characters are (C) Iram, Frankenmuth, Nadyzhda, and Saphria201 repectfully. The universe they live in is loosely based on the White Wolf Games Roleplay Story :: Vampire : The Requiem, as well as Werewolf : The Forsaken and credit is owed to them.
This is a pg13 thread. We may use foul language and our some of our characters are openly homosexual. If you can not tolerate this, this is not the contest for you.

A: Sure! We are pretty relaxed about the roleplay in the thread because we consider it out of roleplay. So it's not actually occurring it's just for fun!

Q: Should I use brackets or something to separate my in character text from my out of character text?
A: It is considered courteous to the other people who are trying to understand what you're posting, but it is not mandatory. Feel free to do so if you like, we won't be angry if you don't.

This section is devoted to the defining of pairings, and explanations and depth of each relationship.

Iram & Frank
-- These are the two characters that started the entire story. One night Iram decided it was time that he fed and using his trickster ways and fiendish charm he lured Frank in and flew him off to his castle. Iram and Frank have a lot of deep feelings for each other. While Frank was first meant to be food there was something about him that made Iram break his own fang rather than bite him.

Iram & Lillian
-- When Iram first set eyes on Lillian he knew he had to have her for himself. She smelled off his favorite scent, white lilies. Not only did she smell divine, she was gorgeous as well. She too had once been meant for food but after Iram returned to his castle it was too close to sun rise to feed and he had to retreat to his coffin. When he awoke he had some very rude visitors and was unable to continue what he had planned the prior night. Will he feed on her? Will he embrace her and turn her into one of his own? Will she still love him when she see's his dark side? Does he really love her or is she just a sheep being herded around by a wolf in sheep's clothing? Those are the questions we are asking, but the story has yet to entirely unfold.

Frank & Lillian
-- Frank and Lilian are very much opposite in their lines of thought and in personality and yet they share one thing in common. They are both the only humans in the huge deranged castle that houses vampyres, werewolves, and god knows what else. Both originally intended as food they will eventually have to decided who has their affection and if it's not Iram, it may be each other...

Iram & Zangrel
-- For centuries Zangrel's family has served the many vampyres that have resided in the castle. When did it all start? It was many many centuries ago, a werewolf and vampyre were cursed together and forced to work side by side. The werewolf the vampyres guardian of the daytime while the vampyre watched over the night. Overtime the two became close friends and the bond has been reincarnated time and time again since. Iram and Zangrel are no different. They are best friends and Iram would never treat Zangrel like he was a mere servant.

Lillian & Zangrel
-- Lillian is just another person Zangrel is being forced to take care of... or is she? Or is he a visionary of women's rights and a human teddy bear... and maybe she is a helpless beautiful damsel in distress in need of saving by the gentle beast.

Lillian & Maria
-- These two have yet to meet in our storyline but they both have very strong personalities. It will be very interesting to see how their first encounter is depicted. While Lillian is sweet and gentle and kind, Maria has learned over the years that those who are nice and kind are often the ones who get stepped on and used.

Maria & Frank
-- These two have also yet to meet but what happens when headstrong meets stubborn? Need I say more? Will they be so similar that they attract or will they butt heads like opposite magnets?

Iram & Maria
-- Many years ago Iram had a woman whom he regarded above all others and then he lost her. He grieved for 100 years and Maria was the first he ever embraced afterwards. They met during the renaissance period and he tried his hardest to sweep her off her feet. She did not give in right away but eventually he was able to capture her heart and he embraced her, hoping they could live together for eternity. Over time they grew apart and parted ways. Why? The story is still unclear about what really happened between these two. Now they meet again and Maria has an offer to make him...

Zangrel & Frank
-- Zangrel and Frank have both been known to be attracted to men at one point or another. Are they attracted to each other? Good question. They are both very closed and not open to other people or their own feelings. As of the story right now, they are just starting to see more of each other. After Frank had been left behind by Iram that first night, Zangrel has sort of escorted him around and shown him where things were. Is there more? Who knows.

Zangrel & Maria
-- When Maria came to stay with Iram at the castle many years ago, it was Zangrel's father who had served during the time she spent there. The relationship between Sam and Maria was alright and they were civil to one another, but Zangrel was only a boy at the time and did not understand why his father had to serve Iram and Maria.

Body Type: Petite but has curves that are not over pronounced
Hair Color: Auburn with red, gold, and copper highlights. When any type of light hits it, it appears to shine with a reddish orange glow. It stops just above her waist and flows with large curls in it.
Eye Color: Purple flecked with gold
Skin Tone: Pale, porcelain like but still holds a soft touchable look.
Optional Features: She has more of a heart shaped face. Her eyes and full lips seem to dominated it. She has wings like Iram does although they are not as large nor the same shape. They are more bat like but are a bit tattered on the ends. The color appears to be a dark brown, almost black color.
Abilities: She does not hold magic but tends to amplify the feelings that others have about anything when she is near. She is adept at the violin, her fingers slender enough to draw the sweet sounds that lay dormant within the instrument
Common Attire: Maria likes to dress elegantly in rich colors. Some of her favorite are the dark plum in her first post ((a portion of it will be posted further down)) as well as midnight blue, chocolate, bronze/gold, emerald, the obvious black and on occasion deep scarlet. She prefers richer colors becuase they make the reddish tone of her hair even more pronounced

Is also able to "side step" into the spirit world, and can see the spirits in whatever they are tied to and can see possessions in people.

Common Attire: Zangrel tends to dress very plain or in servants clothing during big ceremonies or special vampyre occasions. Usually when it is just Iram and himself he will wear no shirt or if asked a plain loose fitting white shirt with long sleeves and the lacing at the neck removed because his chest is so big, along with pants going only to the knee allowing for easier transformation if need be. When guests are around he would wear the short pants, and white shirt, possibly the jacket, shoes only if the occasion is formal. He hates shoes.

Until recently he always wore a weathered brown leather collar with a thin nickel buckle in the back and centered matching loop in the front. The strap is about an inch wide and he wore it low around his neck. (He lost the collar in the castle but is looking to get it back: it holds high value for him though he hasn’t mentioned why.)
Abilities: Hard Labor/Grunt Work (Those muscles aren’t just for show.); Cooking (Nothing that fancy but he enjoys it.); Wood Carving (It’s just a hobby.)
Common Attire: Simple styles, whatever he can afford (which isn’t much).
Whenever possible he will go shirtless and he finds dress clothes to be stuffy and restrictive.
Since he's more or less required to dress properly for Iram's event he must borrow from the the large warbrobes throughout the castle. He tries to pick out to plainest outfits he can find, just out of habbit. So while the style of his dress matches the group he still stands out as a simple man.
He prefers blue hues and some reds and greens, also earthy brown tones and off whites.
He tends to stay away from black in excess and any feminine colors like pinks or yellows.

Full Name: Gabriel Alvarado
Race: Human
Age: 23
Height: 6' 1"
Body Type: Medium build; not very muscular but not stringy either. His muscles are developed in just the right places so that he can preform his duties.
Hair Color: Dirty blond, about shoulder length. He normally keeps it pulled back and tied at the nape of his neck. It is slightly shorter in the front, giving him the look of parted bangs that reach about his ears.
Eye Color: They are gray with a greenish flare shape around the pupil.
Skin Tone: He has a dark tan from being out in the sun for most of his life but it is slowly starting to fade as now he tends to keep out of the light.
Optional Features: He is plain looking, not overly handsome but not unpleasant to look at either. A faint scar can be seen that runs over one eye from his cheekbone and sits diagonally to vanish just above his eyebrow. The scar is not deep but it is noticeable. The sight in this eye is not as good as it should be and the grayish green of his iris is now a faded shadow of it's partner. For the courtesy of others, Gabriel normally has an eye-patch over his hindered eye. The only time he takes it off is when he is around his sister or his Lady with permission of course. The scar can still be seen, despite this attempt, and sticks out on either side of the patch about an inch and a half.
Abilities: Since he is human, he really has no abilities except for his unusual knack for persuading others. It is assumed that this honed skill came from living on the streets.
Common Attire: Gabriel tends to dress plainly unless his presence is required at his Lady's side for an important event. He normally has on a pair of slacks that are comfortable enough for quick movement. His shirt is that of a middle class worker, normally long sleeved and white. A thong is laced up the front, from about mid-chest to neck and he likes to leave it open. Although the shirt has longer sleeves, he finds it a bit more easy to work when they are rolled up to just above elbow length.

Full Name: Evelin (Eve) Alvarado
Race: Half Human (mother)/Half Werewolf (father)
Age: 12
Height: 4' 9"
Body Type: Very slender and frail looking. Her body looks as if you where to touch her, she may break in your hands. Eve has yet to develop any curves but does have the normal prepubescent body normal for her age.
Hair Color: Her hair is straight and platinum blond so it almost appears white. It hangs to her knees. She tends keeps it braided and out of the way but on occasion, there is no time to do her own hair.
Eye Color: They are gray with a greenish flare shape around the pupil, just like her brother.
Skin Tone: Her skin is still very soft and has a creamy completion to it.
Optional Features: Her face is very feminine and she has rather long legs.
Abilities: Eve has the normally abilities of a werewolf except hers are way less developed then an adults. She has yet to gain her strength thanks to her human side but she does turn on a full moon. This has only happened twice but when this occurs, it is hard to realize that the thing in front of you is the same gentle, soft spoken girl. She is still attempting to learn about herself and is having a hard time with only her brother to help her.
Common Attire: Eve dresses as middle class, her dresses pretty, but rather plain and in earthy colors. Every now and then Maria does take pleasure in placing her in some finer clothing, treating her as a doll of sorts. When she was younger, she dressed in nothing but frills and lace, just as her Lady wanted her to.

-A Very Un-Mini, Mini Contest-

This mini contest will include all of the secondary characters along with some of the main ones as well.
We all know that we cannot have secondary characters and not have them interact with or be tied to the main characters in some way, shape or form.

Rules:
All of the rules up above apply here as well as whatever is posted below.

1. Pairings and background information on each relationship will be posted further down the page.

2. Pairings are not restricted to character/character. We would love to see more than two characters together,
just remember you need at least one secondary character to qualify for this contest.

3. Post your entries in the thread!! Please include the form from the main contest when sending your entry.

4. We would like to see at least one entry for each category in the mini contest.
If the deadline passes and this has not happened we will extend the contest until said goal is met before rewarding the prizes for this mini contest.

5. Any picture with a secondary character that doesn't win in the main contest will be defaulted into the mini automatically.

6. Any entries with all nine characters will most likely be judged in the "Best in Show" category. We highly encourage these group shots. We love our characters very much and want to see them together greatly!

These two have been traveling to meet up at Iram's castle. Do they have some sinister plot in mind? This can't be your average friendly family reunion. And what do they have in common? Why are they traveling together... we are unsure... maybe they are more than associates?

Eve & Gabriel
Gabriel has watched over his little sister Eve since they lost their parents, and Maria took them in. He is very protective over her and is closer to no one. She is his next of kin and he would give his life for her.

Iram & Lufain
Iram and Lufain are twins, and like twins tend to be they are very much alike but also very different. Iram is kind while his brother is sinister and down right cruel sometimes. Both very sophisticated and alluring these two are impossible to resist when together. They have some very odd tension between them that is created by their strange attraction to themselves.

Maria & Eve
Maria took in Eve and Gabriel when they were young and since then she has been Eve's only mother figure. Eve is very attached to her and loves her and yet fears her very much the same as a child would to its biological mother.

Maria & Gabriel
Ever since Maria took him in, Gabriel has become infatuated with her. He literally idolizes her and is very attracted to her. It's sad but Maria only see's him... more like a son than a love interest. Couldn't a vampyre who was once embraced by one much like herself relate to a human... who was once how she was... helpless.

Iram sees Salem as just a "temporary annoyance". Salem has always seen Iram as an object and source of power. He knows that if he ever wants to gain anything he will have to go through the kinder of the two brothers.

Maria & Salem
Salem views Maria as a sexual object - something for him to desire and covet. She wants to kill him. Will he ever stop trying the same tactics that only get him hurt? Probably not.

This pairing is because Lillian has yet to form any kind of relationship with these characters, they have yet to truly meet.

Zangrel & Luffain
Zangrel is extremely attracted to Lufain and Lufain knows it. He even once tried to trick Zangrel into thinking he was Iram by wearing his hair down and pretending to seduce him. When Iram walked to ask where everyone had been and Lufain was hovering over Zangrel, he was astounded by how unconvincing he was. Zangrel... probably... knew that it was Lufain but didn't care either way. Good or Bad... one of the twins was enough for him.

Zangrel & Salem
Zangrel is irritated by Salem and wants to pop his head like a zit. He finds him rude and completely unlike his predecessors. While he is normally attracted to vampyres, Salem is far from what he would consider as one. Salem views Zangrel as a house pet, and a servant, nothing more.

This pairing is because Zangrel has yet to have any sort of interest in these characters, he has yet to meet them.
