It just gets frustraiting trying to get a job when you're 19 with no previous experience and it's hard enough to find places hiring as it is without the competition.

just wondering if anyone uses photoshop because i have a question about coloring ^^;

Like when i color i color everywhere, and have to go back and slowly erase where i colored outside the lines. Is there any tool or something i can use to only color the sections want say like just the skin? Or does everyone cautiously color inside the lines so they don't have to erase? ^^;

This is how I do it- granted there may be better ways out there, but I find this is just the simplest for me.
You are better off working from linework that has no white background in it- it'll just make coloring a whole lot easier


Next, make your usual layers underneath the linework layer- Feel free to select the areas you want colored with the magic wand tool (from the lines layer) and under the menu bar selecting: Select>Modify>Expand to grab as much of the area as you can completely. Do zoom in and make sure you haven't missed any spots.


Now for the fun part-See how i'm sweeping my tablet cursor over the skin layer in big messy strokes, but not going outside the lines?


Thats because I've locked the layer- it keeps you from painting anywhere else.


Just be sure to color the area you want filled in first, lock the layer and be as messy as you like. If you missed a spot and need to color outside the lines, just unlock the layer by clicking the option again. I hope that all made sense... sweatdrop
