Shapeshifting: Taarsa possesses a limited ability to shapeshift. She can transform from her cat form into a more human-like one, in addition to being able to alter her size when in her cat form (ranges from the size of a house cat to the size of a tiger).
She is also able to disguise herself as a person, mimicking their physical appearance and voice near perfectly. ~ She must ingest biological material from a person in order to take their form. ~ She can only take the form of the last person she ate. ~ She does not gain other people's skills or magical abilities when mimicking their forms.
Matter Ingestion: Taarsa is able to eat quite literally anything. It does not matter what the substance is, whether it is solid, gas, or liquid, she can consume it without suffering any harmful side effects.
Spiritual Awareness: Taarsa is acutely aware of the supernatural, possessing a kind of "sixth sense" that enables to her to take note of things that others may not be able to sense. She can see ghosts and ethereal spirits, and the auras surrounding physical beings. This also means that she usually notices when there's magic happening, even when it is a more subtle kind. Can she tell you what it does? No, but she knows it's there.
~ Sensory overloads can and do happen. Oh boy do they ever happen, especially in places where there's just a whole lot of stuff going on.
Ghost Fire: Taarsa is able to summon and control a fire that is very unnatural. These fires can be harmless in one instance, while being extremely harmful in others, yet they only ever seem to burn what she wants and leave no trace of their presence afterwards. It burns, yet does not burn in a strange contradiction, acting as both a physical and spiritual flame that can burn both body and soul.
~ These fires seem to be repelled by holy objects, making these an effect way of ensuring one's safety. ~ Things that affect spirits can also interfere with the effectiveness of these flames, which suggests that there may be a spiritual component to them. ~ While this bears some similarity to hell-fire, it is weaker. In a contest against a user of hell-fire, Taarsa's ghost flames would be consumed.

STRENGTHS: Thievery - In her short life, Taarsa has become quite skilled as street thief. She's not gonna be breaking into houses and great cathedrals, but she's very good at picking pockets and stealing from shops and stalls in the market. Stealth - A cat's paw has a soft step indeed. Taarsa is very good at sneaking around. Sharp Senses - Taarsa's senses are very sharp, as is befitting for a cat. Particularly her vision, but her senses of smell and hearing are both very good as well.
WEAKNESSES : Catnip - Taarsa may be no ordinary cat, but she is no less affected by catnip. It tends to draw her interest and makes her high. Doses that are too large, however, may cause her to become more aggressive than normal. Water - Taarsa hates water. She especially hates being wet. She would rather avoid that, if at all possible. Holy Places - Taarsa's powers are weaker while on sacred ground and such areas tend to make her.. Uncomfortable.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Taarsa was born in the Crescent City. She was separated from her parents at a young age, such that she hardly remembers them anymore. All she really remembers is a song that she thinks her mother used to sing. She spent most of her kittenhood on the streets, learning to steal in order to survive. Sometimes there were people who would pity her and give her food, but some bad experiences left her wary of such people.. And people in general, really. She mostly stole to get by and found small places where she would hide herself away.
She was alone like this until she was a preteen. It was a normal day in a market. She was watching from an alley, seeking an opening to slip out into the crowd and begin her daily "work" of stealing food and small treasures when there was a commotion. A small neko, hardly more than a tiny kitten himself, came running from the crowd, pursued by someone he had clumsily stolen from. He quite literally ran into Taarsa, startling her greatly. She paused before fleeing when she realized that it was just a small child that had stumbled into her. Out of pity, she shooed the little one ahead of her, away from the market and angry shopkeeper, and led him to a place to hide.
The younger kitten continued to follow her after that, something which she did not mind all that much in the end. There was something nice in having a companion. She learned his name was Eiji, that he had gotten lost from his family. Now he was alone in a great city, with not a clue how to survive. Perhaps it was further pity, perhaps she sympathized with the child's plight, but in any case she allowed him to remain with her and taught him what she knew of how to survive here. Where the best marks were, who to avoid, which shopkeeps were the most risky to steal from. They have not parted for long since that time, becoming much like a small family in the years since then.
