It was founded by Dave Tavres, a self-proclaimed software geek from Culver City.
Tavres sited the proliferation of different dating sites as a big inspiration for creating Mouse Mingle.

In addition to identifying the usual qualifiers like race, religion and sexual orientation, Mouse Mingle allows users to add Disney-centric facts to their profiles like favorite Disney movies, favorite Disney songs and even gauges your level of obsession by asking how many times youve been to a Disney park in your life. Things get serious in the section where users are asked to identify what kind of annual pass they hold.
Anyone can view user profiles for free but if youre serious about contacting someone, the site requires a $12.55 monthly membership fee. The 55 nod is a reference to the year Disneyland openedbut of course any true fan would know that.
