Fig. 1.
Gene Pacritinib in livers from patients treated with CDCA (n = 6), cholestyramine (n = 5) or with no treatment prior to surgery (n = 6). Expressed as percent of controls. Open bars represent CDCA treated patients and solid bars represent cholestyramine treated patients. Data show means ± SEM. ?Significantly different from controls p expression of PCSK9 was not changed by CDCA treatment.
There were no significant changes in mRNA levels for structures involved in HDL metabolism (ABCA1, APOA1, and CLA1), VLDL metabolism (APOA4, APOA5, APOC2, APOC3, and APOE) or cellular lipid transport (ABCB4, ABCB11, ABCG5, ABCG8, and NPC1L1) in response to either treatment. Also mRNA levels for the control genes (PGC1A, PGC1B, SREBP1, SREBP2, and HNF1A) were not affected, (Table 3). Correlation analysis of the mRNA levels showed that the mRNA levels of LDLR, PCSK9, HMGCoAR, and SREBP2 were significantly correlated, see Table 4 and Fig. 2.
