There was a significant interaction between the months and years (Table 4), and repeated measure ANOVAs showed that the diversity values differed significantly between the months in 2009 (Table 6). Seasonality in species diversity was also observed, with lower values in the months of June and July and higher values in August and September of 2009 (Fig. 6). After the introduction of the tetrapods, this late summer diversity increase did not occur, and the overall diversity was lower; thus, significant differences were not observed between the months in 2010 and 2011 (Table 6, Fig. 6). However, the variation in both species diversity and evenness increased after the introduction of the tetrapods (Figs. 5 and 6).
