Roleplaying Ideas
This is just where I go to post my recent rp ideas.
The Loneliest Wizard...
(Hello everyone. First and foremost I apologize for intruding on your forum. No I have not read anything you posted, I am simply desperate to find a good role playing partner. Below is the current story I am craving. It is one of many that I have and the rest are in my journal. If you are interested in this idea or the ones in my journal please send me a pm. I only rp through pm's. I am looking for females, who are literate and serious about a long term serious role play and not afraid to participate and add stuff to the story. If this sounds like you then let me know! smile )

The realm of Arumalia....a beautiful land of magnificent cities. Full of lush forests....powerful mountains...small swamps....small deserts, many lakes and ponds and shores of beautiful creatures and plants. A true beauty in this world. This is the realm in which our story shall take place. The realm Arumalia is currently under the control of the Kingdom of Bordair. A kingdom of powerful knights wielding holy powers, The Crimson Crusaders. It was these Knights who allowed Bordair to tame the lands of its wild people and monsters and turn it into a livable kingdom.

Yes the random goblin and orc raids were a nuisance, and of course there were random human bandits but nothing the Crimson Crusaders couldn't handle. The problem was the neighboring kingdom of Amnh. Amnh was a nation of poor people, and barbarians yet believed the rest of the world were the fools and barbarians. They were landing small scouting parties on the southern borders of Arumalia and making hunting camps, yet these scouts never left and were increasing in numbers. At least...these were the current rumors.

The people would speak and the knights would fight, the nations would have their quarels but the common people never seemed to prod deeper, or make an issue out of it. The Lord of Bordair, their Knight King, would always reassure them publicly and they loved and respected him greatly. They trusted him, but little did the people know that he was hiding the truth from them. There was a darkness coming from across the sea's, one that his mages had foretold him and were warning him of. Not to mention the scouting and colonization attempts from Amnh. He had much to deal with, and the last thing he needed was his people to be scared and causing a panic. Things were changing in the lands of Arumalia, and quickly. Even the raids of the random monsters and creatures were becoming more frequent, and magic was becoming increasingly dangerous. It wasn't long until the kingdom declared that random magic was forbidden and was restricted to those who served the King's Army.

This made it hard for the random individual who practiced magic...including one of our main character.

Lucien Gredavious. A mage of the Fourth Order. Mages could only achieve the highest rank of the Seventh Order and mages of such high status were considered highly powerful and very dangerous, normally were very old and working for a rich noble or some such thing. Lucien's Master was of the Sixth Order and he had been studying magic his entire life, and was 90 years old. Mages and their use of magic sustained their life longer than most, when one was 90 in human years they were really only 45 in magical years. He had at least another 70 years left and hopefully by then he would achieve the magical Seventh Order rank.

But....that is another story. For now, Lucien and his master Greganius lived in a small village called HearthKeep. It was built on a ledge overlooking the shores of the west. It was more secluded and far from the capitol city of Calin. It was a safe place for them to practice magic, since the Crimson Crusader Knights were all stationed in either Calin or the southern border in case of problems with the scouts from Amnh. But the darkness that was coming....it was coming for them. Though they didn't know it yet, their lives were about to change.

On the eve of his 25'th birthday, when Lucien Gredavious was promoted to the Fourth Order his master received a message. He quickly sent Lucien away to gather supplies and in the middle of the night they left the village through the nearby forest. It was there that they were ambushed.

Lucien and Greganius stood alone in the middle of ancient ruins from a civilization long been destroyed. Before them stood two demons, a dozen shadow assassins, and one man....a demonic looking man wearing all black armor carrying a massive sword. Greganius unleashed dozens of powerful spells and Lucien gave all he could to assist, but in the end, they were defeated. Greganius unleashed a massive spell of mirror image, creating 100 visions of Lucien.
"Run my boy! Run far and find my friends in Fireweave Inn, to the South!" and with great reluctance, Lucien and his 100 copies ran in 100 different directions.

Lucien managed to hide and watched as the dark knight cut his master in half, seemingly impervious to all of his magical defenses. Lucien who had spent his entire life with his Master, watched him die. No tears...none tonight. He moved quickly through the forests, not sure where he was going or what he was doing.

It took him three days with directions from one really nice and kind overweight traveling merchant to reach a very small town, its largest building was huge, almost the size of a castle, yet it wore the sign 'Fireweave Inn'. Lucien stood at 6 feet tall as he walked through the main door into the Inn. He had a well trimmed goatee facial hair, deep dark blue eyes, handsome face, short brown hair. He wore the robes of a mage of red and gold color making him look like a high level mage or a rich lord. He walked into the inn with his hood pulled up. He had to remain composed and in control. He walked over to a table and sat down looking around. There was a friend here....one he had to meet...one who knew of Greganius. If he didn't find that friend...he would be forced to continue his search across Arumalia alone, and for a mage to travel alone without a Knight to guard them...it was almost certain death. Spells took time to cast...even easy ones took time to cast...and unless you were a mage at least the Sixth Order, you couldn't cast too many spells in one day, or risk draining your life, which meant you had to choose your spells carefully.

(There are details on using magic in the game. So if you wish to be a mage or magic user of some kind we will need to go over some details. I was thinking you would play as either the friend in the Inn, or maybe we skip that scene and he finds you somewhere else. Either way, open for discussion so let me know and we can talk about it.)
