The Price of Freedom is steep.
Maybe that's why the song "The Price of Freedom" resonates so well with me right now... Why it resonates within my very soul. Because I am feeling that it is very steep right now. Just going through the daily trials and tribulations of living away from one's parents, one fully understands what the costs of freedom can be. Is there a point though when the price is too great? I am happily married to Michelle, and would have it no other way. I wouldn't even change living with Dawn as our room mate... That doesn't mean though that I don't wish our situation was different. The price of freedom doesn't solely mean finance wise though... Anything involving sacrifice can be considered a price. We are forced to put up with inconsiderate and noisy neighbors, whose lack of respect makes me pay dearly in terms of the amount of sleep that I can get per night. It takes it's toll on my body, and reminds me of the price I am paying night after night just so that we can continue to live on our own... there have been times that it has felt as though it has been too much... and I have been driven near the edge, to the point where I thought I was going insane.
The price is also steep financially though. As tonight's family discussion pointed out, we are spread so thin, that we can truly only hope that we will be able to make it by... and that's just for this month, that doesn't mean we will be able to make it by into the next month... With the car payments, the medical bills, the personal loan payment, and just the regular rent, bills, and expenses... it is feeling overwhelming and I can only pray that we will be able to make the cut. If we cannot... I cannot think of a great deal that we can change in order to improve our situation... I do not know what will happen, but I can only hope that our situation improves...
