The Account of Lucifer part 2
This is the next bit I wrote for my story about Lucifer. It's the story of his mortal death, essentially. Enjoy.

In the beginning, a man and a woman loved each other. Their passion as beyond comprehension, and they conceived a child whom they named Jonathan, and he was the most beautiful child the world had seen. The infant grew up virtuous and caring and loving – he had no sin and no impurity – a clear conscience. But on the eve of his twenty-first birthday, he was taken ill with a terrible fever. The Lord ended his misery two days later and adopted him into the warm, welcoming arms of Heaven. Still as virtuous and pure as he'd been in his mortal life, God himself found him and he earned the title of Angel. Gradually, he rose his ranks because of his selflessness and clean spirit, and God gave him the name Lucifer.
I, Lucifer, shall recount both my life in Heaven, and how I fell to the lowest depths of hell. Both are passionate stories – one pure and joyful, the other shameful an full of disdain.
I shall first retell the events of my death: a most sorrowful and painful subject, but necessary none the less.
It was on the eve of my twenty-first birthday. I'd felt odd and dizzy the previous day, but I had disregarded it. I found, however, that it had not been a good idea to pay it no mind, for the next day, ill fate struck me upside my face. It seemed as if I was an open wound - perfect for letting a terrible cough fester in my chest as a fever overtook me. My loving mother and father could do nothing for my well being as there were no doctors and no medicine in that age of the world. As life slowly drained out of my body, images of clouds and bright shining Angels passed through my mind.
I spent my birthday laying in my bed in unbearable pain. My cough only worsened and my fever showed no signs of granting me mercy. Neither me nor my family ate that night.
The next day, it was apparent I had very little life left. I shivered uncontrollably under the thin sheets on my bed, and my breath came out in raspy bursts. By two in the afternoon, I had passed on into the loving arms of God and all of his subjects.
As the last of my strength left me, I saw a valley in which the grass danced lightly in the warm wind. The mountains around me towered into the clouds, and ahead the foothills led into a sparkling sea. I walked forward through the grassy fields until I reached the soft beaches. There was a ship awaiting me, made out of glass and gold. Behind it, the shining waters led into a multi-colored sunrise. The hues reflected off the restless water like ribbons blowing in the wind. A bridge came out of the golden ship onto the sands, leading into a huge gilded doorway, through which I could see the deck of the ship. I cautiously climbed up the bridge into the vessel, with an angel smiling beside me to welcome me. She closed the door behind me then led me to the deck. She walked up to the wheel and the boat lurched gently forward towards the sunrise. But not long did the ship stay on the water; it rose up and led into the newly-bright sky. We rose up high into the heavens and the noon sun shone through the clouds like light escaping through a tattered cloth. We came upon a towering golden gate that led into a shining kingdom. The angel led me out of the ship and up a glittering staircase made of water and liquid gold; the two substances swirled together forming a continuously restless marble pattern. I took my final raspy, weak breath as I passed through the gates of Heaven into my next life.

Very good story. I enjoyed it as much as I did the 1st part (although the 1st part was not as lengthy).

You have an amazing gift for writing. I used to be able to write like this, but most of my imagination died a long time ago.
