Okay, for those of you who know me, there are generally three activies/days/events that mean the most to me.
The first is of course, Halloween.
Halloween is my favorite holiday. (I don't think of Christmas as a holiday, instead it is a joyous celebration. Major difference there.) This year, I decided to go as Abby B. Sciuto from NCIS. So I had to go buy some stuff. tHe day before Halloween, B, E, and my brother went with me to Sioux City. It was so much fun. I bought a pair of fingerless black gloves. B bought a mask to be the Phantom of the Opera. We went to Wal-mart to buy food. B sang and wore her mask. We went out to eat at Golden Corale. It was good. Then we came home. I had a party on Halloween and it was awesome! My daddy bought me a punch bowl that was giant skull! I was happy about that. Majorly happy. Um, my parents also got dry ice. We had so much food at the party. Most of the guests left around 9:00(ish) but two of them, my friends Jonathon and Kasey stayed until 2:00 in the morning. IT was really really fun.
The second event of the year is the youth gathering!!!! Woot woot
If you don't know, I"m on the LYO Council for WIS Synod. We had our yearly jr high youth event on November 6-7 at Twin Lakes Christian Center. Fun stuff. Shawn Smith is AMAZING. And he really loves his wife Damaris. biggrin He plays guitar amazing. He sings awesome songs. And he's funny. Um, this year our theme was Reach out and our verse was "Be doers of the word, not merely hearers." Ben and I got assigned to work in the Round Barn together and we played a game called the newspaper game. THe next day, we had worship/morning session, and then we did community service. IT was awessome and amazing.
This year was pretty wonderful but it was pretty bittersweet because it was my last year as an LYO Council member. But I can't wait until January for the senior high event! Wooo!
And the third, is Christmas. BUt I can't write about it yet because....obviously it hasn't happpened yet!
