so um chicken?
well today was an interesting day to say the least. at first i was kind of because when i got to work i clocked in and my manager told me if i could come back in three hours because they didnt have anyone to cover the five to one shift. now even though i clocked in already she said she would fix it. so that sucked. i would have to wait. three hours there doing absolutely nothing just so i could come back at a later time and suffer more. fortunately though it gave me time to leave and go see a friend. so that worked out i guess. what was really cool though was the fact that when i came back to work around three hours later it was busy as hell and i just decided to go to the fryers where someone else was and help them. now the drive thru and front were very busy and the orders had a time of around fifteen minutes which is very bad but i just stayed back in the fryers. it wasnt exactly easy but far better than being in the front or drive thru. and it was fun too because for once i wasnt the one getting yelled at. since the people in front were new they were making alot of mistakes and taking a long time. people were yelling and bitching at them because they were taking too long and they were getting the wrong food. one person even had to return their hamburger four times before getting what she wanted. i know its mean of me but i really enjoyed them being yelled at. finally they knew what it feels like. they were even asking me for help because they were really screwed up but i just said i couldnt i had to help in the fryers. which wasnt true. the guy there could have easily done all the work but i simply didnt want to leave that spot. i stayed there for about two hours just enjoying myself. i did feel kind of bad though when one girl was on the verge of crying because she was being yelled at. the manager stepped in and then she was being yelled at. but i just stayed in the back. i didnt want to deal with any of that. i deal with it every day. for once i wanted to relax and be happy. and you know what? i was. i was actually happy. i actually had fun back there in the fryers. and what was really cool was the fact that once i finally had to go in front it had calmed down. it was actually a fun day. i know that was really mean of me but screw it. you know what was also fun? later on in the night theres this person who never does the work and is so slow. he always bitches about stupid little stuff. he wont take out the trash because he doesnt want to get his hands dirty. and he was yelled at because he was taking too long to clean he always takes his time and stops to talk to people. ah the sweet jubilation of others misery. on the negative side though they changed my schedule because they fired someone so i have to start working five to one again. it sucks but oh well. nothing i can do about it.
