So... things are going okay.
I've been very busy with getting class work done and job searching...
I haven't found any jobs that I really like yet, but there are a couple of promising possibilities. ^-^
^^;; Unemployment sent my paperwork to my alternate address rather than the one that was on my application, so... I'm currently waiting to hear from them, since by the time I figured that out and got the paperwork, all the deadlines had expired. x_x;
But.. I am still okay for the moment. And, now that I know what happened, I can try to sort it out with them.
Classes are going better now that I finished the first three which felt like remedial computer classes. And I got past the grammar chapter in the Business English class.... (I can never completely memorize all the grammar terms and their definitions... ;-; )
I'm currently signed up for:
Word Processing/MS Word I
Word Processing/MS Word II
Spreadsheets/MS Excel I
Business Graphics/Powerpoint I
Digital Imaging/Photoshop I
Business English
I already finished 3 other classes... I anticipate finishing the Business English class in the next week or two, and the first Word Processing class next week. ^-^
In other news... the 7th Sea game that we've been playing for the last year or so is about to end.... I think the last game will be next week. We'll be starting a D&D game after this... I'm looking forward to it! The D&D game will run only once every other week, so that will be kind of nice, not to have to give up an evening to it every single week.
I got into collecting adoptables online a few weeks before I lost my job last month... ^-^;; It's a little addictive. I even created a zoo that I wrote up, to put them in. >>;;
I got a pretty cool gift from a friend recently... it's a shirt that says, "Meh." xDDD;; So very me. <3 Domo Arigatou.
I know, not all my friends read this journal, but... even so.... I thought I'd say thank you to everyone who's been encouraging me and helping me out lately. I really appreciate it. ^^ If I forgot to say it.... I'm sorry! I do appreciate it! I'm just a bit distracted with so many things changing right now.
Going back to school for the first time after so many years is so different, and job searching is always stressful. I'm still confident about being able to find another job in the relatively near future, and get the unemployment stuff straightened out, but having all of this on top of some personal issues... things are definitely a bit difficult right now. So I really appreciate my friends, and everyone who's been trying to cheer me up and help me.
I saw Inkheart this last weekend! ^-^ It was good. I really enjoyed it. They changed the ending from the book; actually, I think they completely cut out the second two books; however, the movie was still good!
Fanime things are ramping up now. The panel request forms went up last friday... and I think I already have about 50 panel submissions.
So, between classes and job searches and fanime things plus attempting to keep my sanity, I am very busy!I guess that's all I can think of to say right now. Hope everyone else is doing okay too. ^^
