The Knights of the Moon are seen in the public's eye as typically being charity workers. They have sects in most cities that help build low rental housing and set up places for the poorer folks oft those cities to find a means to get food, clothing, and a reasonable means to get housing for their families. They fund all of this through their coffers and only take donations from those that can afford to give it. A lot of this donated money is turned back to help the less fortunate.

However, the reason this is also set up is dual-natured. Doing this in the cities not only helps those that are less fortunate, it helps the Knights of the Moon to keep tabs on what various political and military leaders are doing in those areas through various means, including rumours and various witness accounts that can turn up from the large amounts of poor in the cities that tend to go unnoticed all over.

By this means, the Knights of the Moon can attempt to keep a balance of power in the world, making sure it doesn't focus in any given city through sabatoge of the person or persons amassing the power. This even leads to the group using various means to commit to assassination if this is deemed as the only solution.

The Knights of the Moon will use whatever means necessary to keep the world from going to war once again, for if destroying the lives of a few to save the lives of many is what must be done, it's an action worth doing.

Fortunately, the Knights of the Moon are resourceful and very seldom go to such lengths. Typically they have ways to cause the power to drain out through political scandals, vandalism of the leader's property or military, or through theft.

All this leads to more housing and necessities for the less fortunate in the long run, aiding those with less power.

The Knights of the Moon tend to dress in long black overcoats that is unadorned. Underneath this coat is black laquered chainmail covered in black leather armour. They wear a long black scarf around their neck, and a set of silver rimmed goggles that allow them to see everything as though light came from all angles, making shadows not exist in their vision. They wear black tooled leather gloves with their insignia on the back of the hand, the moon arching over the knuckles.

The armour has the unique ability to twist shadows, making it so the wearer is nearly invisible in the dark or any shadowed area. Their weapon of choice tends to be light weapons, such as a rapier, dagger or saber.

The Emblem of the Knights of the Moon is seen above. The crescent moon represents the Wisdom of the High Spirit they worship, Kyara, Spirited of Wisdom and Neutrality. It arcs over the cross, representing the not only the entirety of the Knighthood, but the world as we know it, politically, spiritually and physically. She is above all, around all, and sustains all, deceives all by keeping the Balance intact.

The top portion of the cross stands for Balance. It is held in high regard as should anything become unbalanced, with nature, ourselves or others, things rapidly degrade into chaos. Keeping the Balance for order is therefore held in high regard. Wisdom centers on Balancing the world for not only yourself, but for everyone to have peace in their lives. Even if to sustain that peace you must make war.

To the left of Balance is Truth. The Knights of the Moon do what they can to maintain Truth in the Balance of all things, and to make sure that falsehoods do not erupt into the world that could disrupt the Balance. Of course, Truth is also here to show that they will also tell those falsehoods so as to maintain the Balance, but they will not do it unless necessary. Truth is an important factor of the Knighthood and the world and a loss of it can tip the scales precariously.

To the right of Balance is Protection. This is because they hold Protecting others as an equal to Protecting them with (or from) the Truth to maintain the Balance of all things. Protecting others is one of the main aspects of the Knighthoods lives and beliefs.

At the foundation of it all, supporting everything else is Faith. Faith is not necessarily a religion though. Faith in oneself. Faith in your community. Faith in your leaders. Faith in your knowledge and wisdom. Faith in what you're doing is right, no matter how wrong it may seem. If you lack faith, you will have difficulty seeing the Truth of any situation and will lack the means to Protect those you need to, therefore disrupting the Balance. Even with Wisdom, missing any of these can degrade into chaos and cause a loss of lives.
