Equipment:
Breastplate of Righteousness: This uniquely adorned armor bares black and gold, with slight hints of red in many places. The armor itself is beautiful decorated, making it seem more like art then armor. One would soon find themselves mistaken. The armor is magically enchanted by the word of God, no blade held by an unholy one can even scratch the armor, though the blunt force is still felt. No magic with the power of the damned may pass its barrier. If one was to face this armor as a vampire, a lycan, or any creature that is an abomination unto God, will find it very difficult wearer. If your heart is full of Sin, you can nigh not hurt him.

Shield of Faith: Adorned unto his shoulders are a pair of 'Shields', they are the Shield of Faith. They are decorated exactly like the Breastplate, but have a far different effect. The stronger the bearers faith, the stronger its effect. The powerful aura emitted from them is a Holy Aura, based around damaging those impure, any creature against God's creation will face this Aura, those strong enough to survive it, will find they are nigh too weak to fight. The Aura burns and melts like Holy Fire, you are not prepared.

Sword of the Spirit: The blade of God himself, it glows a beautiful gold, is Zweihänder in style. It seems to not only be made of Gold, but glow gold in the darkness of the Night, or the Shadows of the shade. A single swing of the blade, even a simple point of the blade, releases a powerful Corrosion based Energy, it will cut through the air or ground like trundles, ten to a swipe. Each about thirty feet wide, and will go on until they strike something. When they do hit something, they corrode it like acid. Regardless if you're immune to Holy Energy, which is rare, this weapon will most likely crush you. If you're slashed directly with the sword, acidic energy will corrupt your heart, and instead of blood being pumped through your veins, Holy Acid will pump itself through you, killing you in seconds.

Belt of Truth: His waist is girded with Truth, ensuring that he cannot tell a lie, and can effectively discern a lie from fact. He will not tell a lie consciously anyway, but in a moment of weakness, he asked for this belt to ensure that he will not sin in such a way with his lips.

Helmet of Salvation: His head is protected by the helm of Salvation, thoughts of Heaven are ever present within his mind, making him accept death gladly if need be. The eye slits glow with a blue light, signifying that his goal is eternally set upon the Pearly Gates. The prospect of Salvation comforts him, when the darkness of the world seems too great for him.

Footwear of the Gospel of Peace: His feet are shodded with the wear of the Gospel of Peace, a symbol of his want for a peaceful outcome. They seem to radiate the want for peace, and have a calming sensation. Of course, if one wants to fight bad enough, and is evil enough, it will clearly have no effect. But against most, it helps turn a bad situation around fairly quickly.

Personality: Heilig is a peaceful man, only fighting when need be. He follows 'A soft answer can turn away wrath', and applies it whenever possible. But, as all men should, he will fight if there is no other choice. As a Paladin, he is a defender and a servant, putting others far above himself. That does not mean he doesn't care for himself, no, he merely would rather die, than another, and the helping of others brings joy to him.

He prays constantly, mostly silently, and reads the Word of God whenever he can. He seeks to bring others to his God, but if they have no want to do so and will clearly never change, he will not pressure them any further.

Heilig is very Pious, that much is clear. When he is marching, the Paladin oft sings Hymns of praise, or even Psalms of the Bible. Whatever situation he is in, he finds things to be thankful for, and praises God constantly.

Powers: Heilig is a Paladin, and thus his abilities stem from God. They are mostly effective against undead, and abominations such as that, and with some healing.

Smite: Vampire, zombie, monster, all of these unholy ones can be smited by Heilig. Holy light crosses across their being, purifying their bodies, usually killing them.

Consecration: By prayer, Heilig can consecrate the ground beneath him and his foes, making it nigh impossible for the unrighteous to step upon it, and if they were already on the ground, it either burns the soles of their feet, or forcibly expels them from the circle.

Banishment: Anti-Demon possession, in Christ's name, Heilig can cast out demons from both objects and people. It is not a lengthy process, but merely a simple utterance, and off the demons go.

Healing: The aspect of rapid healing was first introduced by Christ when he walked the Earth as a miracle, and Heilig can do near the same, but it is no longer a miracle. He cannot raise people from the dead, for he is not an Apostle, and cannot do what an Apostle does. The Paladin can however, heal most diseases and poisons and wounds effectively.

Blessings: Through prayer, Heilig can bless others in a variety of ways, spanning from temporarily increased strength, to even temporary auto-healing. He can do the same for himself, but he usually refrains from such a selfish act.

Blast of Light: When Smiting is restricted to those unholy, 'mere' Holy Light can be inflicted upon anything. It seems to burn like the fire, and wound like a double-edged sword. Heilig uses it sparingly however, but only in battles that require it.

Bio: Heilig was born in a peasant family under the domain of the Lord of Schatten, who was indeed a Death Knight. When he was four, he was already out working the terrible fields of their Lord, put under incredible torment by the soldiers of the Undead Knight. His mother was raped and killed when he was seven, leaving his father in despair, and when Heilig was ten, his father was killed also, for being too slow in his work.

As they were in the process of burying his father, Heilig spotted a shining light in the distance, so bright, that he, and the other peasants had the shield their eyes. The light grew larger and closer with each second, and soon, one could make out what it was. It was a Paladin, come to liberate the helpless from the iron hand of the Lord of Schatten. The soldiers rushed to attack, but were immediately vanquished by the Blessed Knight, whom stormed into the castle, and ended the tyrant's reign once and for all.

When it was done with, the Paladin came out to the peasants, and identified himself as Siegfried von Licht. He stayed for almost a month afterwards, helping the freed peasants establish their own independent government and become self-sufficient. He blessed their lands, making them more fertile, assisted them in farming techniques as well as construction. All the while, Heilig shadowed his every movement, speaking to him whenever he got the chance, and helping in any way he could.

When it was finally time for Siegfried to return to his own home, Heilig begged him to take him with him, so that he may become a Paladin as well. Slightly reluctant, the Paladin took Heilig with him, impressed by his persistence. Over the next few years, Heilig did his utter best to become worthy of the Paladin status, and even after attaining it, lives only to improve.
