Jabs vs Punches
Ay Caramba! If I am reading the effort correctly, I would say that a whole-hearted attempt is lacking. Doubt dominates. And it interferes with the expression of trust, comfort, and care that she so wishes to share with him. She offers snippets and almost always at random intervals so it is not really clear if he is picking up on her signs. I saw them together the other day and I could not sense anything but friendly familiarity between them. If there IS anything else, it is ambiguous. That is to say that they are hiding it well, not just from everyone else but from themselves, too! Let me liken this to practise. The little signs, the clues, the hints that she offers, they are just jabs. She is afraid to fully express how she feels to him because of the possibility of rejection. So like a jab, she is not going to make a real impact. I am thinking that she is just going have to take a chance and really just come out and punch! Let him know how fully she feels about being around and with him. If nothing else, she can eliminate the doubt. It is not a question about how she feels about him. The variable here is how HE really feels about her and their relationship. Is there a possibility for more than a mere good friendship? Even if it is not the right time for him now, he would now know that she was open to that possibility in the future. And I am not thinking that there is anything wrong with that, right?
