Many people don’t know about life before it came to be on Earth. The very base of it, of all living things, holds many stories that no one has ever desired to figure out.
But I know a secret.
I know something that only burdens myself, because it lies within the very pit of me.
Earth isn’t the only planet that has ever held life. There is a place, a beautiful place, that only appears within the darkness of my eyelids. It is of the past, but I am of the past living in the future. Whoever is the great one of everything has given my life a special meaning, a memory that I have no personal connections to, a reason to live. I am a part of history which no human being has ever been a part of, and will never know of.
When I sleep, I dream of a planet named Smurffe. Smurffe is a place that someone might say is only in my imagination, but I know that this dream is reality. On planet Smurffe, the moon is always eclipsed with the sun, so that the days are always shinning but they are also always night. The people of Smurffe, whom are known to be the Carribees, have tanned skin and are at best described as demon like humans. They are a beautiful race, but with their beauty comes much danger. From the moment a Carribee is birthed, he is decided to be either evil or good… on a magical place like this planet, there is no in between. So the Carribees silently suffer, since no one is fully good or evil, and they can not live up to their world’s demand. And I try to comfort them, but I know that their destruction is to come soon. As the Carribees fight their own war with their world, I fight my sickness, which becomes stronger each day. I fear that I will die soon, but I know that is my fate if the past replays itself. I do not care for my life though, since I only live for the Carribees. Maybe if I save myself, the world of Smurffe will live on....

The Carribees. The great people of the Smurffe. They could be only imaginary, but the past is very real; and Mai is living proof of that.
Mai is an ordinary girl with a gift. Well, not exactly a gift but more of a characteristic that no one has ever had. She is a reborn part of the past. Whenever Mai closes her eyes, she doesn’t see blackness but she sees Smurffe.
Smurffe existed about 200 billion years before Mai was born. The people of planet Smurffe were called the Carribees. They were very tall, with tanned skin, and most had animal characteristics. They were all very diverse because it was rare to come across a Carribee that had the same features of another Carribee.
Although planet Smurffe was a very beautiful place, with beautiful people, many things were wrong. The society believed that all Carribees should be the same and nothing less then perfect. This weekend the Carribee’s spirits and soon darkness came over them that they could not defeat. No one knows anything specific about this darkness, but they do know that it wiped out the Carribee race, and destroyed their small planet.
When Mai is born, she is almost like a reincarnation of the whole Carribee race. She is their planet, and if something happened to her the planet would die. That’s very bad, because Mai’s had a rare sickness ever since she was born. It is likely that she will die, and then the Carribees will fall to the darkness yet again. But if both the Carribees and Mai fight and overcome their problems together, both their fates might change.
Note that Mai can travel to Smurffe every time she closes her eyes. She is a loner, so most of her friends are actually Carribees. She knows that she has to fight hard for the Carribees, and the Caribees must fight the darkness for her.
