※ █ P E R S O N A L I T Y ➴ Poe is a very energetic young troll, who over involves himself in everything he does, including his favorite hobby - jokes. He is a self-proclaimed jokester, even though the majority of his jokes are rather odd puns or wordplay. Poe has a tentative self-esteem, and it is based on what other trolls think of him. If they think he's hilarious, by god he is THE FUNNIEST TROLL EVER!! And nothing will convince him otherwise. When regarded as a pest, he gets upset and will cry or when he's older, want to punch something. He's very socially awkward, despite his attempts to integrate as a social butterfly. He doesn't understand simple things like sarcasm or social cues, and his direct, honest nature can cause conflicts with other trolls. He believes if no one laughs at his jokes it was because they didn't understand. So he will explain it to them, in detail. He's the sort of troll that uses the word "wow" too much, and he has a fondness for using exclamations in general. Poe feels he is a witty troll, and while that may not be true to every troll, he is definitely good at thinking outside the box to come to a good solution to his problem, like putting mirrors around his hive or maybe using gum to fix a leaky pipe. He's a good problem solver, but not so good at people skills. Poe is also a very sensitive troll. Outright telling him you hate puns could upset or anger him. What's not to like? He takes everything pretty personally. His temper isn't the most healthy thing, but he does try to reign it in when he's around highbloods. Lanata taught him to be nice to them so he wouldn't get culled and he intends to keep the rest of his limbs. In all, he comes across as a very conflicted boy. He understands things that are set in stone, but when it comes to communicating with other trolls, he's awkward and lost. He wants to be popular but he's too trusting and can't handle criticism. He can be brave and defend his lusus one moment, but wimp out doing something simple the next.
Poeias has an odd set of hobbies, but first and foremost is his love of puns and word play. He is passionate about making puns, and will do so at every single given opportunity. Poe occasionally will overhear conversations when he's in NHC and be disappointed at the missed chance to make a pun. He believes they are the funniest form of comedy ever and can't understand how people could dislike them. Poe is also a big fan of playing darts, although with his horns in his face like that, he's never actually hit his dartboard before. But he swears one day he'll be so good at it! He'll be the best, and then he can use darts as a weapon (his one true dream). He likes to carry some darts around in his pockets. Poeias has a budding interest in troll soap operas. Right now he's too young to fully appreciate them as he doesn't really care about romance yet, but he likes how passionate everyone sounds and sometimes there's punportunities (especially in the really bad ones) so he can hone his skills! Plus he feels it can help him learn how to be more social (it doesn't).
Poe knows the hemospectrum is a thing. He's right in the middle, so he doesn't mind it at all. He knows not to mess around with highbloods so he does his best not to let them get him upset, sometimes even holding his tongue (figuratively) to stop himself from being too honest with them. Though when he does get upset around highbloods he just cries. When he's older, he'd be more likely to pick a fight with a lowblood than he would a highblood.
※ █ S T R E N G T H S ➴Passionate: Poe tends to be a very enthusiastic troll, always deeply involved in his hobbies and interests. He could talk for hours about his favorite shows, or how awesome he'll be at darts one day! This sort of nature makes Poeias spring into action, and keeps him from going down when other trolls might otherwise be unable or unwilling to fight. ➴Resourceful: Poeias isn't terribly bright, but when it comes to more practical things like solving a physical problem, he can be quite inventive, putting up angled mirrors around his hive, and traps around the livestock to protect them, or even just making his life easier. Poe can figure out a way to deal with anything life hands to him. He's very hands on, both literally and figuratively, as he likes being able to hold things in his hands when he works on them. ➴Loyal: He's very devoted to people he decides are friends, even if they don't really feel the same about him. He can be selfless in his loyalty, going so far as to risk himself for the safety of others, as he did for his lusus, even though he's not as determined for his own well-being.
※ █ F L A W S ➴Gullible: And even though Poe is clever, he is not very smart. He is way too trusting of everyone he meets, and can be downright gullible! Tell him your name is "Grubbutt ********" and Poe would cheerily call you Grubbutt, no questions asked. This does however, also set him up for more crueler things, such as a total betrayal from a friend. Poeias just can't stop himself from believing... ➴Quick Temper: ... and it upsets him. As a child, this manifests in the form of being easily reduced to tears, but as he gets older he'll be more likely to get angry and pick a fight than he would to just cry. This came in handy for Poeias when his lusus was attacked, as he was quickly able to get angry and defend her, but rage (and crying like a wriggler) is not always the best way to go about something. He can throw temper tantrums when things don't go his way because right now, he's basically a huge crybaby. ➴Awkward: He's not actually all that skilled in hanging around other trolls, though he feels he is a sociable person. He can misinterpret a troll very easily, as his cleverness does not extend to give him social grace. He is unwieldy around fellow trolls, and doesn't know how to take hints very well. Obviously, if someone didn't laugh at his pun it was because they didn't understand! He'll then take the time to explain why it was funny in full length.
※ █ B U I L D ➴ Poe has a slightly chubby build, with a lot more topwise mass. He's rather short as a child and teenager, but bulks up as he grows. As a young teen, he's more around the 5'2 range, but later teenagerhood he'll be around 5'6-5'8 before he makes his final growth spurt. ※ █ H A I R ➴ Poe's hair is curly and soft, much like a woolbeast. He doesn't brush it much, and it's very fluffy and poofy. He likes letting it cover his eyes.
※ █ H O R N S ➴ Hoo boy they're awful. They curl inwards from where human ears would be to cover his eyeballs and block out a significant portion of his eyesight. As a teenager, he's sawed them off, leaving only short nubs by his scalp. Sad.
※ █ E Y E S ➴ He keeps his eyes hidden, as after a childhood of near-blindness he finds the light of night overwhelming and is prone to sensory overload. He wears darkened goggles and usually has his hair thrown on top.
※ █ E X P R E S S I O N ➴ Poe's usually got a pretty goofy grin, and is often seen smiling and joking. He's got a mild underbite with a single fang that protrudes.
※ █ C L O T H I N G ➴ Because he was raised by a woolbeast, he definitely prefers soft, wooly clothing. He usually wears sweaters and jackets (and sometimes even multiples jackets layered together). His boots are woolen. He always has a t-shirt underneath his clothes, and prefers to wear shorts with many pockets (for holding darts). He has some sensory issues regarding clothes and only ever wears shorts.
※ █ O T H E R ➴ Poe's left hand is mechanical, after a howlbeast ate it when he was younger. His right leg below the knee is also mechanical. He has several scars now, including one across his nose, three through his left eye and one on his chin, one across his hand and chest, and claw marks on his upper arm. Yay. Also, Poe has a few disguises, but notably as a child he uses this disguise and the name Poepoe Laries. He masquerades as a brownblood with a severe vision problem, and an... unusual disposition, eh. He also has Rumies Wether as another alias name, if he needs it.
※ ██████████████ W O R D P L A Y ➴Puns: The most notable of his interests, since he tries as hard as troll-ly possible to put as many puns in his speech as he can, Poe loves puns! Something about them is just so right and so so hilarious! He loves them, and so should everyone. ➴Word Games: He's actually a big fan of any sort of word game, like association chain games, or telephone. If he can play around with words and be silly and hilarious, he loves it.
※ ██████████████ D A R T S ➴Life Dream: Poe has an unusual sort of fantasy that one day he'll become great at using darts, and he could use them as a weapon, just like a cool hero with a cool weapon. He carries darts around in his pocket and practices throwing them when he cans. ➴Games: Well besides being the coolest weapon around, he also just thinks playing with darts is a lot of fun! It helps improve accuracy and only a cool kid could be good at it! He likes to make his friends try to play with him.
※ ██████████████ S O A P __ O P E R A S ➴Sappy Soaps: It's only a budding interest but he does really like soap operas, and other cable shows about romance and drama! They're fun and vibrant sounding. ➴Social Skills: He thinks he could learn a thing or two by studying romantic shows and soap operas so he could be better with his own poor social skills. It probably won't help though.
※ █ L A N A T A ➴ A fluffy woolbeast mother, she stands at about 5'4, and she's very gentle. She loves her lamb with all her little lusus heart. She is the flock leader of Poe's herd of woolbeasts, but she lives indoors, separated from them.
※ █ R E L A T I O N S H I P ➴ Lanata loves her charge, and Poeias takes care of her. Lanata has taught Poe all he needs to know about social interactions with highbloods so that he won't get culled with a social faux pas. He protected her from being attacked by a howlbeast, using his own arm to fend it off, losing it in the process. Since then, Lanata has been very careful to keep her little lamb close to her. She feels guilty about being such a comparatively weak lusus, that her child became injured because of her.
※ █ L O C A T I O N ➴ New Hemisect's plains. Following the recent Meta, he's moved to the Rebel outpost in the Swamp.
※ █ D E S C R I P T I O N ➴ He works on a farm (kinda) and shears the woolbeasts. His hive is small and cozy, detached from the farm he goes to, though not that far of a distance from his hive. It has a respiteblock, kitchen and bathroom, and a pen outside for his Lusus that has a little shelter for her during the day, though she just lives with him inside his hive most of the time. Poeias puts mirrors around his hive to help him see.

Following his recent switch to the Rebel side, he's taken residence in a temporary tree-shack with a single block, and a ladder to bring his lusus up into the hive. When he returns to his old hive, they use an underground passage that linked from the mountains. When he finishes retrieving his things and sheep, he'll build a more permanent hive to live in.
※ █ T H E __ S T O R Y ➴ When Poe was still young, he once went to the mountains where he met a redblood girl and befriended her. Back at his hive, he struggled to keep a rogue howlbeast from preying on his woolbeasts and lusus, and in one confrontation lost his hand to the beast. Since then, he became anxious about future attacks, especially on his lusus. He went to his redblood friend to get a new mechanical hand, and since then has tinkered with his own ideas to keep the howlbeast at bay...
※ █ R E C E N T __ P A S T ➴ Poe had been a regular naive farm boy, the kind of child who enjoyed government games and events, like Bloodfest. He attended it and made many new friends! When there was a military call to arms for all children in the form of a physical, Poe attended gleefully, where he met some more trolls. However, when their mission was revealed to be a sneak attack on the unsuspecting rebel forces via betrayal, Poe balked and refused to attack Byakko or any of her Rebel forces, instead joining them. After the whirlwind of fighting and explosions died down, Poe found himself stranded on the Rebel side, and realized what he'd done. He began to cry, and was comforted by Maneki, a young tealblood child and protege of Byakko. Since then, Poe's adjusted to life as a rebel, helping to transport the rebel's Mother Grub, and making fast friends with Maneki and joining the other boy in all sorts of games and events, both in the swamp and out.
But what does the future hold...?
※ █ P O E ' S __ A N C E S T O R ➴ Not that it ever mattered much to Poe who his genetic ancestor was, but if he ever looked into it, he might have found the tale of the Poetaster, a bard who roamed aimlessly, writing limericks and tales about the famous trolls of the time. He was found to be incredibly offensive by one too many powerful trolls, and subsequently culled.
[Phoenix Initiative HQ] x Poe x [BATTLE] x Maneki After Poe accidentally (and on purpose) turns against the Queen, he finds himself very scared in the middle of the rebels. And decides to join them, making a friend in Maneki.

[Booth] Razz-a-matazz Royalty Booth - [Poeias x Lorata] At Bloodfest, Poe meets an awesome seadweller who teaches him how to be a dart master! [Booth] Flower Toss - [Poeias x Maihue x Voscil x BOOTH] At Bloodfest, Poe meets a group of likeminded pun fans. He shares several jokes with them and becomes unstoppable. He also wins a cute lambs ear!

The two trolls actually met on the mountains, sweeps ago, as children. As well, Tierte is the one who made Poe's first mechanical hand for him. Still, they don't seem to get along as well as they used to...

Poe's not sure what exactly is the relationship between the adult blueblood and his friend Maneki, but they get along so Poe wants to know him better too!

He had a pleasant encounter with the seadweller. Even though it'd be hard, he wouldn't mind seeing her again, and showing her how he's improved at darts.

He lives with his mom (Lanata) and her numerous sisters (Ammon, Vignei, and Urial) who all baby him terribly after the accident in which he lost his hand and leg and he's a weird kid. Poe is autistic! He's got his Special Interests (darts and puns), is very socially awkward and doesn't get most social cues, and has sensory issues (which is why most things he wears is wool, and why he only wears shorts), and he absolutely stims by clapping (when happy) and clenching his hands (when upset).
