Welcome to the world of Magesc. Within the guild, you will find many different fantastical characters and places to explore. Let your mind roam with all of the possibilities presented. Before you begin, click up at the Guide and also look through The Legend forum, where you can find out even more about the world of Magesc and where it has come since the beginning. When you have a character in mind, feel free to take it to The Creation forum, where you will be able to create your own fantasy and make it real once you win an event hosted in the Dates of History forum. Then, once you've decided what race you want to become, you must set up a journal given to you within one of the following forums: Oblivion Sanctuary, Citadel of the Order, The Celestial Fortress, The Banished, or The Tame Ones. When you've obtained your character and created for them a journal, why not start up an RP plotting thread in the Weaving New Schemes forum to show off what plans you have for your character that other people can help with. From there, you can take your character to the next level and role play with him or her in The World of Magesc. Go on an Adventure or two and dive deeper into the world by visiting the Mysteries of Magesc forum, where you can gather quests and RP your way through perilous dungeons, unexplored ruins, even the depths of the lakes and acquire rare treasures along the way. Lets not forget The Hunts because that's where you need to go for battling all of this worlds dragons and other creatures! Don't fear The Wastelands or The Bottom of the Sea for they are only there to serve as a recycle bin for old threads (in both regular and staff areas respectively) and killed characters. The final forum which none can enter except those who have become staff, is Those Above the Rest. Now, make sure you read through each of the other sections of this post and through the other major threads on the main page of the forum to ensure your safety while traveling through the world of Magesc. » general
● Do not steal any artwork or ideas from anywhere within this guild or the main thread. You will be automatically banned from any future events, from the main thread, and will be reported to the Gaian mods for breaking their ToS.
● Please feel free to have a great time with the role plays. Just don't step on any toes or start godmodding and you will be just fine.
● If you have a question, first scout the front page of the main thread and the rest of these threads within the guild for your answer. If your search is not giving you results, please feel free to PM Magesc or post your question in the main thread or the Questions and Feedback thread here in the guild.
● Having a character requires role play to grow. If you fail to role play, your character will most likely be killed off and sent to the Wasteland for all of eternity or rehomed completely. Customs will never be rehomed, but may be sent to the Wasteland until given notice of activity.
● Co-owning is not allowed.
● Mules are not allowed. Using a second account to bypass our character limits is strictly against the rules.
● Staff members have the final say on disputes.
● Do not beg for anything.
● Be sure to keep active in the thread as well! Thread inactivity will lead to your character being rehomed or sent to the wasteland.
● We staff here at Magesc have the right to add/edit rules at any time.

● Do not bully, whine, complain, or slander anyone during the events.
● Only pure gold will be accepted as payment.
● Do not have someone else write the prompt response for you. This is cheating and will have you banned from the shop.
● Originality will earn you more points with the judges. Keep things original and fresh and you could see yourself the owner of the flatsaled child!

● Do not bid any items/gold you do not have.
● Do not retract bids.
● Do not publicly announce your current funds or bully/annoy the staff or other bidders.
● No co-bidding allowed.
● Payment is due within 24 hours of winning.

● When you obtain a character be sure you keep track of their growth and such in their journal. Every character will have a journal set up for them specifically, and you must keep it up to date.
● Be sure to keep active! Being active and role playing is the only way to keep your character safe from being killed off, thrown in a hole or dungeon, or being rehomed completely.
● These characters are not 'pets' or 'children' per say, they are children, but they are cared for by their individual sanctuaries, thus they don't necessarily have 'parents' though you can if you want create a 'family' for them of your own. You can get art from outside artists, but be sure that they stick to the race, and learn the race well, asking questions is the best way to know if something is going too far.
● You are allowed to have as many characters as you can care for. Although, you can only win one character through an event, unless the events are specifically for past and current owners to obtain a second child. Once you have your first, however, you must wait until they are at least an Adept to obtain a second. Once your first character is at least Adept, and you think you want a second, you are now eligible to compete in the events.
» role playing
● Please follow the Daisy Code.
● Do not godmod.
● Keeping a journal is mandatory for these children.
● Please use literacy when role playing. Try your hardest to write more than one line and never use chat speak. Take those to the main thread.
● There is a rule that coincides with the rule above. Each role play, when counting them for a requirement of growth, must be at least 500 words in total for one person. If this requirement is not met, it does not count towards your growth requirements. The only exception is Dragon Battles. To count those for growth, RPs must be at least 300 words. If not, then they do not count towards the requirement.
● Familiars or 'pets' do not exist in Magesc, unless they are given through an event. Most likely the familiar being a dragon of some sort. While in character, any and all animals that we have here on earth can be found there in addition to the different dragons of course.
● Please keep all role plays PG-13 and below. If you REALLY need to go over, just take it to PM or even better, off of Gaia completely. We will not tolerate anything over PG-13 in the forums.
✦ steps to take ✦
● Set up your character's journal. A character's journal is a log not only of who they are and what they've done, but - potentially - a tracker of who they've met, how far they've come, and where they have to go. Your character's journal should, at the very least, contain their bio and basic information, and a log of the RPs they do in the shop, but feel free to take it further than that and personalize it to the fullest extent!
● Questions may be directed to staff in the main forum, or - in the case of longer or more in-depth questions - PM'd to staff or the mule, or posted in the FAQ thread.
● If any of these rules are broken, you will obtain a warning. Further warnings will result in possible banishment from the shop.
