The winds that prevented Houou from entering through the gates had mysteriously stopped. He was extremely curious as to what had been occurring in Konohagakure as of late. The number of corpses that cluttered the streets put houou on edge. He had never seen destruction the likes of this before. Houou never dropped his guard, constantly surveying the area, keeping his eye out for any individuals that would approached them from either side of the village gates. Their group had no idea of the current situation, or even if the enemy was still afoot.
“I don’t like the looks of this place Ryu. There were vicious winds here not long ago, forcing me to create my own entrance into the village.”
Houou said gesturing to the underground tunnel that he created using his Mokuton jutsu.
“This village has either staved off their attacker or they have fallen. This village is famed as one of the most powerful villages, so I would doubt that they fell so easily, but we can’t let out guard down.”
Houou continued to survey the area with extreme vigilance, even while speaking to Atsuko. He had high expectations for the hokage and the surviving leaf ninja. However, Houou had to get atsuko and his nes frind Tsu, out of this village before any more gruesome events were to appear.
As Atsuko lead in their departure. Houou took notice of a covert pass off of a small envelope, to one of the guards standing watch. What houou didn’t know, was that the letter was addressed to the current kage. The exchange was fluid and could barely be notice, Houou hadn’t been prepared for the friendly treatment from the guards, not realizing that Atsuko and Tsu had already interacted with them on their entry. The group continued fluidly out of the village and into the land of fire, with a pleasant encounter to discussed with the rest of this aquatints.

With his hotel wifi continually eating posts, Kanzaki transitioned into Shiori, lighting up a cigarette at the gates, waiting on her partner. She had the papers and the list and a bunch of back-pay ryo burning a hole in her pocket. What she didn't have was a shower and change of clothes. Shiori was so tired she knew if he so much as tried to eat or take a nap she'd fall into a coma. There was truly no rest for the wicked.

"Yo let's goooooooooo!" Sumika said as she came storming down the path out of the village. It'd be the first time she left since before she entered the Academy, and she was ready to get on with it. So much so that she blasted past Shiori entirely, eager to get out into the world. Of course, the little puppeteer was slow as s**t by any reasonable standard of shinobi, so it would likely take the one tasked with guiding her little effort to catch up. Making their way to the gate they would make good time. Kya would probably have time to spare if she wanted to bring the two of them back to the mansion for her sermon. In the meantime San would approach the guards at the gate with a stern serious look upon her face. The way the woman carried herself suggested that she had a fire behind her actions. A burning desire to find out just what had occurred during the chaos of the attack. Thoughts about just what those foreigners had acquired was apparently eating her up. "Yo you two! Some villageless ninja came through here recently. Why were they let in?"
The two guards at the gate seemed to exchange inquisitive glances. They probably had no idea who San even was. Let alone why she would be charging them with such questions. "Look here red I don't know who you think you are but I doubt you've got the clearance for questions like that." A flicker of annoyance sparkled within her left eye before she took a deep breath. "Sanae Uzumaki, jounin of the leaf and the Hokage's assistant! Now tell me why they were let in before I have you scrubbing s**t like a genin!" When she was done speaking even San was little shocked at what had come out of her mouth. She hadn't really intended to say that but it just sort of came out. Indeed the words were both more self assured and forceful than she would have thought. As well her body seemed as if it was ready to cut the two men down right there and then. Her domineering demeanor and powerful voice seemed to put the two guards in their place. However they didn't quite seem ready to spill yet. Why?
"You wouldn't" one of them seemed to sheepishly bark. "I haven't heard even heard of you" the other replied. Still their body language now suggested that they were on the defensive, their will was being tested. Perhaps Kya could push them over the edge into spilling what they knew?
ᑃ Kya closed the distance more than she had before as she walked behind San to the gates. She was on a clock but there was plenty of time between now and then, so she rationalized anyway. She continued using her Shakujo as a makeshift walking stick, letting the jungle of Kortal Kahns symbols revitalize her. Such a strong day where faith was concerned. Kya made a new friend, possibly started the path of inhibition for her in fact, and had the chance to galvanize an entire village worth in civilians over a shorter period of time than she ever thought possible due to the terrorist attack that had shaken the foundation of her chosen village. With tragedy often came opportunity, and a massive one had been dropped in her path. Destiny, as it were? Mayhaps. Either way each clap of her feet against the sand and glass ridden ground drew her closer to her destination. The gates were not that end goal but rather a stopping point. Curiosity had put her there as much as the desire to see this interesting venture through to the end.
Sans outburst drew Kyas eyes to the back of the girls head, the dark almond orbs in their inhibited status merely fixed upon her. She was rather impressed at the girls fire. The threat was well placed and it was only in the interest of not ruining the weight of what the girl said that Kya didn't smirk. Instead she admonished them with her gaze, paralyzingly sharp in how it pressed in on those aware she was surveying them. The pair were hardy initially but immediately were crushed by the realization that San had the power to inflict harm on them. What reason did they have to keep up this rude of bravery? Why be difficult and inhibit progress? Kya was immediately ticked, taking her Shakujo and pointing it at them. Her eyes spun to life and she remained steady as she spoke.
"I could also break a limb and send one of you to the hospital. It'd be a shame too, the staff is busy with a lot, obviously. You might not be seen preliminarily for an hour. At best. Now, stop being ornery cunts. You let some strangers in and out during the most catastrophic events we've seen in recent memory. Why?" The threat was even worse considering how she delivered it so matter of factly.
The two seemed to shrink under the addition of Kya. Even if the two were bluffing, which San was to an extent given that she was just a clone, it could still be a rough fight. Certainly a fight that neither of the guards really wanted to get into today. Then if the two women weren't bluffing, they were probably ********. It was a lose-lose-lose situation but they were starting to figure that getting chewed out by their superior over spilling information they weren't supposed was not as bad as the other possibilities. "Okay okay geez. When they showed up we radio'd in for orders and got the okay to let them in. Seemed like it came down from the top cause we weren't even asked to verify who they were. That's it."
San blinked for a moment. This was a rather startling bit of information. Assuming these guys were telling the truth, which she definitely felt they were then somebody above them gave them the okay. But they had said "the top" and that wasn't just their boss. No the top of Konoha was the Hokage. Why in the hell would Taka have allowed this to happen. The letter to her didn't suggest a familiarity so it wasn't something so sinister as treason. Incompetence maybe? Perhaps it was just a snap decision under the pressure of the chaos? Still what if these rogues had been part of chaos? Even if they weren't they were still allowed to steal secrets from the village. A fairly serious charge by itself. Anger bubbled within San as she reflected upon the fact that Taka had been non existent during the attack and the fighting. That she was currently missing without explanation. With how bad the village was doing currently... this was terrible. "I see..." she finally spoke through gritted teeth. Clearly there was much that San wanted to say, but then this wasn't the time or place.
Turning to Kya she wondered how the Uchiha woman was taking this information. The deaths of so many had definitely been getting to the woman. Her anger was palpable back at the office. She too was probably coming to similar conclusions as San. There was much that San wished to say but this was not a suitable place to speak on what some might consider a desire to seize power or a threat. No, her desire was righteous in intent and justification. Many would not understand challenging the status quo however. Best to play this close to the chest until things were more stable. "Got somewhere we can talk more freely Kya?"
Sumika wandered up to the gates, Panda on her head, panda pajama donned... and Shiori nowhere to be found. The girl manipulated her puppet, which was currently toting a pile of books, towards Kya and San. "Hiya San!" She said with an exuberant wave her loose the panda sitting in her hoodie holding onto her head. "And, um, who are you?" She asked, looking at Kya with a confused expression, before turning her attention back to San. Anyways... Uh, Shiori, errr... Kanzaki, whatever, she kinda went all blank. Like she wasn't there anymore. So I dragged her back, kinda. She got heavy so I just painted eyes on her eyelids and propped her up in a ramen stand." Carefully she picked the tiny panda up out of the hood a flipped it up, beaming. "Thanks for letting Kanzaki take me to Takumi for my birthday!" The little bear responded with a happy squee and began gnawing on her thum.

ᑃ Kya allowed her posture to relax just a little as the men seemed to bow their heads to her. She so disliked the lack of real conviction they had shown. In the back of the rubies set in her skull there was a real threatening foreboding feeling to the two, should they have cared to look. If San wasn't standing right there, and if she hadn't essentially decided to hold off on the ******** of pretty much anyone of their demeanor, she would have in fact offed the two of them. Her mouth closed and her newly powered eyes observed them with every word that they spoke, seeing it almost predictively and sighing in the seconds before San came to the same realization that she had: Taka had allowed them in. The elders weren't likely to have authorized something like this, no they were probably dead or getting treatment. Kya pinched the bridge of her nose and then stared up into the sky with frustrations mounting. Whoever these two were, they were just doing as they were told, and they didn't deserve the almost death glare that they were receiving from the Uchiha.
Disappointment washed over Kya. Ivi had been someone she looked up to, but she was completely absent for the village when it needed her. She rushed a whole country away and shoved the brunt of her power into the Shukkaku on their behalf. Where was that passion and fire when the village needed her? When the fury of justice, weak of a motivation as that was, could have been turned to the enemies of their own home? Kya realized she hadn't even seen her yet. San was doing more to keep s**t in place than Taka was. Kya was more experienced by a little while, likely stronger than San for the moment, but San had leadership qualities and Kya was not so interested in leading the ninja: she could inspire them through her own methods but they needed someone... with less of a sharp edge.
San was frustrated too, Kya could see. Her own head snapped to the heterochromic busty red head seconds before she had turned to her. Once more, she saw that flare in her, like an aura. "You want to take me home? I got a few hours to kill if you wanna skip dinner," she teased with a smirk that felt like it wasn't out of place. That was when Kanzaki-Shiori dude and Sumika arrived. Kya's face deapanned just before she was spoken to and she responded in an almost emotionless blurb. "We've met before Sumika." Kya rubbed some water welling up in her eyes, residuals of the poison probably. "I'll be waiting for you in the compound courtyard again." She threw her dueces up, and walked back into the village.
San blushed slightly at the comment before frowning at the woman. "It's not like that! It's about business yo." Clearly the mild hint of anger in her voice was simply meant to cover up her blush. Not like that would fool an Uchiha's eyes. It was then that Sumika arrived without her supervisor. The man probably should have put her on a leash or something. Though apparently Sumika had acquired plenty of materials so perhaps she had also picked up the scrolls she had asked for. "Guess Kanzaki failed his mission then.... ********. Anyway um didja get the scrolls I want by any chance? If so you should go to the academy and find the real me. Give em to her and I bet she'll credit you with a mission!" The news that Kanzaki had blanked out was troubling. Still something within San told her that it was but a momentary hiccup in time. Something which would pass eventually. Kya for her part did not seem to wish to stick around the gates and San could take a guess as to why. Right as she turned to leave the clone noticed the panda and had to suppress a giddy explosion of excitement. The real one would more than likely not hold back. With that, the clone left the area. A slightly flamboyant and flashy young man, with several brutish looking guards in toe, made his way down the center of the street. With obviously regal bearing the man approached the guards at the gate and called out,"By order of our glorious majesty the Daimyo of these lands. I order you to open these gates!" Shifting his weight from foot to foot he noticed the glass crunching under his feet with a dismal glare. Looking over the state of the village he sighed,"Utterly unacceptable. Shameful, dishonorable, BAH."

The two chuunin manning the gates snapped to a more attentive pose at the arrival of the man his cadre of foot soldiers. "Of course, right away sir. If you would kindly present your identification and paperwork we'll be happy to have you on your way inside." While normally they would have more than likely taken down the representative's information and allowed him on inside, the village was still on high alert following the attack. As well the guards had recently had a rather unpleasant encounter within which they were reprimanded. So neither was eager to just wave someone on through again.
With a wave of his hand a man of his posse stepped forward and presented the groups papers. The men were mercenaries and the man himself was an ambassador for the Daimyo. Facing the two guards the man tapped his foot waiting,"I am sure your able to see its all in order. Now may I pass, I have urgent business with your Kage."
