The Masque of the Red Death [Open and ACCEPTING!!]

"Is there something botherid' the two of ya? Ya seems to be preoccupied with somethin' and not talking to each other. I thought ya two were close," Jack said as he sat beside Scarlet. He had been watching the two and he was a bit surprised to see that Scarlet hadn't moved from her spot since he left the two of them there.

"Is everythin' okay?"

Scarlet looked over at him and smiled, "Nothings bothering us.....I just have a lot on my mind is all. He probably does...im not to sure. I'm fine so don't worry about me." She gave a somewhat shakey laugh and looked back down at the water.

"Really? I think the two of ya are being distant from each other right now. Did something happen?" Jack asked.

"No nothing happened......" Scarlet looked at Jack then back at the water. She still had Nicholas on her mind.

"Well, I can see who's on your mind though," Jack chuckled.

Scarlet blushed a bit and looked away, "What are you talking about?"

"I'm an old timer princess. I can pretty much tell what's on yer mind at sight," Jack chuckled again. "You an my lil' girl ain't that different. You two are thinkin' of the very same person."

"Oh...well your right." She smiled then sighed. 'So that's why she was upset....' she thought to herself and again sighed.

"So, what are you thinking about him? Ya like him or somethin'?" Jack pried with an eyebrow raised in amusement and acknowledgement.

Scarlet blushed a bit and nodded. "Yes i'll admit that.."  

[Nick_austin90]

"Say, yer not troubled that ya might not get to leave this island?" Jack asked out of curiosity...and because he thinks Scarlet deserves a break from the teasings...haha..

Scarlet looked over at him and smiled, "No im not troubled by that. Its nice and peaceful here...but i would like to return home one day." She looked to her right staring at the vast sea.

"I'm gonna give ya one advice. If you are confused, just ask and get yer confusion straightened. Maybe ya should talk to the duke too," Jack said as he prepared to leave. He had things to do too.

"Thanks...I guess i'll do it now.." she stood up and smiled at Jack. She then made her way to Nicholas's room. She knocked on his door lightly not sure if he was asleep or not.

Nicholas woke when he heard someone rapping his door. He straightened himself and went to the door. He was still grodgy but he was awake. He opened the door.

"Your highness," he called in surprise and he opened the door fully. "Please, come in," he said and he brought himself to the side as to let her highness in.
