User Name: AstoriaFallen Name: Buttercup "Aquamarine" Boneblossom ---------------- Personality: Buttercup, doesn't like to be called Buttercup. It's Aqua, Marine, Aquarmarine or Boneblossom. The ONLY one's she allows to call her buttercup or any form of nickname entailing the name is her family, halfsiblings included. She's going to have horn envy like a son of a gun. While she's okay with her miniature antlers she really wishes she had a full head of horns to just prance around with. She thinks they're majestic and wonderful and she finds herself ill equipped. Though she won't every admit that. She'll still say she's got the best rack anywhere, even though that's a lie. She's not vain by any means, just when it comes to others. And not so much in the sense you might think. She's got a love for what's on the inside, not so much the outside. She's attracted to death, decay and just the truly ugly. There is something about being repulsed that's delightful to her and she is very much into dead stuff. NOT LIKE THAT! Get yer head out of the gutter. I know you went there. Buttercup is going to have a very enlightened personality and be rather accepting towards just about anyone who is considered odd or weird by other standards. She'll most likely take after her mother and share her "spirits" with everyone and anyone that she can get her paws on.
When it comes to matters of her crystals she will break them off on occasions and use them for trinkets for her family. They grow slowly though so she doesn't do it often. Sometimes they shed on their own which is much more preferred since breaking them on her own is a tad painful. It's like picking a scab. It hurts. A majority of the time she'll spend her time as a miniature flutter, she just finds it thrilling to be the size of one's hoof and allow the wind to just drag her anywhere and everywhere. It's quicker than trying to figure it out herself. Despite her wandering's she'll always venture back towards home. Maybe with a treat for one of her siblings. Plot Ideas: I have so many. I will plot plot plot with this family and the siblings and half siblings. XD A crystal for you? Someone takes a shining to her shineys and this is when she learns that breaking them off hurts. Someone takes a fancy to her but she doesn't really take a fancy back. I can see her playing it out and being coy with them for a little while but once the gig is up she'll just let them know she ain't down for it. You look dead, but aren't dead? She'll encounter one of the undead SOQ and be quite fascinated with them. She'll likely develop a bit of a crush on them because of her affliction to dead stuff but it likely won't last but she'll still try to finagle a breeding from them. What did you call me? Someone figures out her first name and attempts to use it on her. Needless to say the ordeal won't go as they thought it might? That's all I got for now. I suck at plots since I usually RP everything out. Anything else?: <3 <3 ILU ----------------

User Name: Moire Frost Name: Juniper Boneblossom (Juniper is a natural antibacterial, antiviral, diuretic, and antiseptic, and was historically used to treat infectious diseases and help with childbirth) ---------------- Personality: Since birth, Juniper has entangled herself in the study and practice of plant medicine; she can be found at all hours of the day and night, waiting for a flower to bloom or a mushroom to reach the perfect time to be picked. She tries to help every sick and injured soul she meets. She is quick as a whip and has a sharp tongue, but is generally kind and well-mannered around those who treat her well in return. She also enjoys meditating; quieting her mind and focusing on the crystals on her body, she feels the ebb and flow of the universe and reacts accordingly. Some say she's a bit of a nutter, others believe she could possibly see the future. While it's not entirely true (she's just gotten very good at educated guesses and vague answers), she enjoys the attention and uses her "powers" as a means to get what she wants in return (not maliciously, as she doesn't have a mean bone in her body - she just knows what she wants/needs and will sometimes cheat a little to get it). Her studies are deeply rooted in the desire to trick death at every turn; she sees it as more of a game, something to dance around, than an ending point. Plot Ideas: Juniper will begin her studies on her own. At some point, I'd like her to meet my shaman stallion Abiron and learn some of his magic/tricks as well. My plan after that was either for her to return to the Garden and assist in childbirth/healing, or to branch out and offer her talents to the rest of the Soquili lands. She'll probably try to have babies with a tree!Soq or something at some point. Anything else?: Thank you so much for this opportunity! I threw in a bunch of puns just for you. ----------------

User Name: Kyrieko Name: Sugarcane Boneblossom ---------------- Personality: Sugar is one of the sweetest little mares you will ever meet. She's very easy to talk with and has that easygoing personality that tends to put others at ease by just being around her. At least until you get her started on her obsession. She is utterly obsessed with mutated Soquili. It will confuse her greatly as to why others shun the creepy creatures of the land. In her mind, regular Soquili are just so boring! She is just fascinated by the creepiness of those labeled as "mutants", and curious about how they came to be like that. Were they born that way? Developed it later on in life?! How many of them are there? Do their entire family line look the same?! This will become her life's obsession. She'll travel all around the land to meet every single one of them. To document what she learns and find the creepiest one of them all. Plot Ideas: - Jeepers Creepers: As a foal, Sugar will be fascinated with rumors of strange looking Soquili that she hears about from other family members or new individuals she meets when venturing off on her own as she begins her journey in life. She'll begin her hunt to meet as many creepy mutant Soquili as possible!
- Spirits and Ghosts, Oh my!: While out adventuring on her quest to find mutant Soquili, she learns about ghosts and spirits. Already obsessed with the strange things in life, she'll be absolutely thrilled to discover if such things exist or not.
- Little Spirit: At some point in her journey to adulthood, Sugar will find what she believes to be an actual spirit that chooses her as its host. She'll eventually come to learn that it is a familiar, but she'll always think of it as her Little Spirit.
- Creepy Creepers!: Having been so focused on those mutant Soquili she's heard rumors of, it will come as quite the joyful surprise to learn there are other creatures out there with these unique differences!
- Creature Feature: Sugar will keep record of any and all mutant/creepy Soquili she discovers, so that when she comes back to the Garden, she can share her findings with her family. It will be known as her "Creature Feature" diaries! Anything else?: Thank you for this opportunity to join this awesome family! ----------------

User Name: Kaya Wolf Moon Name: Nightshade Boneblossom ---------------- Personality: Nightshade is a very shy and polite mare. She does her best to make friends wherever she goes, but that can be a challenge at times. As a foal, Nightshade is insecure with herself. The filly doubts her place in the world, being unsure of her calling, and feels a certain lack of confidence in her skills.
Her perception of things changes over time, however. She eventually becomes more confident and self-assured, losing her sense of constant fear while gaining an almost fool-hardy sense of bravery. Nightshade is also rather intelligent and possesses a keen honesty about her. She doesn’t mince words, preferring to be open and honest with her emotions. Despite her new attitude, Nightshade is still gullible and naïve. The mare can easily be swayed by those around her. So she has to remain aware at all times lest she become a pawn.
Additionally, Nightshade harbors one belief distinctly different from her family. She believes that the crystals which grow on her body carry the souls of loved ones passed- a belief which stems from the insecurities she faced as a foal. Thus, the crystals are both a coping mechanism and a means to keep the departed close.
Equal parts spontaneous and ditzy, she has a bad habit of randomly tripping and/or falling over. And, while she prefers not to fight, she will not hesitate to defend her friends, family and their traditions. The mare is quite fierce in these moments, exhibiting a blinding loyalty and love. Plot Ideas: 1. Come Out and Play- Nightshade is a foal with a vast world to explore. However, she much prefers to keep to herself. At first it doesn’t seem like she even wants to be around her own family, often staying silent in the presence of others. When a strange foal appears, they try to make friends with Nightshade. They strive to show her that life has more to offer than just being alone all the time. It’ll be up to Nightshade to determine whether being alone is worth missing out on connecting with others. *Note* She’d still remain very shy as a foal but would at least start talking more.
2. Dearly Departed- The first instance that Nightshade develops the “meaning” of the crystals on her body. It is just after a family member has passed. The entire family is together and the traditions have been honored. Alone, and in the dark, she realizes that one of her crystals is radiating an extremely faint light. She connects the dots and comes up with only one explanation- the souls of her loved ones are always with her, in the crystals.
3. A Road Entwined- Now a young mare, Nightshade has determined to travel across the Kawani lands for a time. It is during this period that she meets a young stallion. He seems rather familiar to her, but she cannot place it. He isn’t helping matters either by being coy in his manner. Her curiosity piqued, Nightshade pursues him for a brief turn, needing to know why she feels comfortable around him.
4. A Silver Tongue- Nightshade has moved on from the young stallion. The two had their time together, with her coming away from the encounter pregnant. Old insecurities try to sneak their way into her heart as she prepares to have the foals. Uncertain of her skills in this area, Nightshade begins her return trek home to seek advice. Unbeknownst to her, she has an admirer from afar. A dastardly plot is in the making by a silver-tongued mare. Her goal? To convince Nightshade of her value as a midwife so that she might kill the mare and rear the children for her own.
5. My Precious Ones- The aftermath of the encounter with the mare. Nightshade is heartbroken over the loss of one of her baskets. She mourns for the little one, believing it to be dead, following all of her and her family’s traditions. A difficult road stretches before her as she struggles to cope while rearing the two surviving baskets.
6. Always- For the third time in her life, Nightshade encounters the same stallion. He seems to come and go like the passing breeze, but always with purpose. She now faces the task of explaining the events since their last encounter. Heartache and healing go hand in hand, culminating in the sincerest of truths being revealed at last. *Note* The stallion essentially admits his love for Nightshade. The two would end up as LM at this point, but only because it is later in their lives.
7. Out of the Darkness- One of the more emotional moments in Nightshade’s life. Her first foals have long since grown. The grieving period long since passed. So when a grown Soquili appears claiming to be her lost foal Nightshade is forced to reopen those emotional wounds and confront her painful memories once again. Will she finally be able to put this to rest and welcome home her lost child? Or is there something more to the visitor than meets the eye? *Note* This would include plots with the other, evil mare. I have some thoughts but wanted to focus more on the Boneblossom girl with these. Anything else?: Thank you so much for the opportunity! This family is one of my absolute favorites in Soquili. <3 And, while I’m not the best at plotting beforehand, I would absolutely enjoy RPing with others in the family should I be lucky enough to win this beautiful girl. For fun, here are some songs that I feel define moments in her life: Lullaby; Broken Inside; Still Worth Fighting For; Come Little Children

User Name: Seruta Name: Gloriosa Boneblossom - The name just slammed into my brain upon seeing her. It's a beautiful, yet also dark laden name. Looking into it, I realize that Gloriosa is actually the Genus name, yet most of them all tend to fall into much the same look and category. (If a more specific name is required, Gloriosa Lily Boneblossom would be preferred.) ---------------- Personality: Quiet and calculative. Calm and Serene. But only in appearance. Personally, she has a strong curiosity on the similarities of her family members and their naming flower. She also has a strong interest in foreign foliage and will later make it her life goal to collect samples and studies of them for future family. Plot Ideas: Let's Connect the Pods - As mentioned before, she has a strong curiosity in the similarities of her family members and their naming flowers. What attributes do the two share and if there is more of a connection to the names and flowers than some care to believe? In this RP, she'll spend some time in the Garden, studying the flowers and seeking out the individuals with the same namesake. Perhaps best done during a death so that all the others are present and easily studied. Expanding One's Roots - The flowers and herbs of her family can easily be studied in the Garden. Their attributes and such are the stuff that most everyone in the family already knows. But what of the other flowers? Are there any undiscovered? In this plot, she'll leave the Garden and start her studies elsewhere. She'll find new flowers and herbs and test them for pros and cons. She'll collect samples and seeds, and log her findings to share with others whenever she returns to the Garden to take her turn as Garden Keeper. A Whole New Genus - For this Plot, I want Gloriosa to stumble upon a different family in her travels. Discover and dive into their odd naming rituals (in comparison to that of her family's) and study (for a short time) on how their names affect their personalities and how that in itself differs from the Boneblossom ways. She'll eventually lose interest, finding that method to be just a bit too odd for her own personal tastes and return to her previous studies, but will still find it mildly intriguing. (*There will be more, obviously, but this is all I could ponder on at the moment. :3*) Anything else?: As the others have said before me: Thank you for this wonderful opportunity. <3 The family itself is beautiful and one I've been admiring since the first few have emerged. <3 ----------------

User Name: dawns_aura Name: Mimulus Boneblossom (( called Mimsy by those she allows close to her... ))
(( A diverse plant genus, monkey-flowers and musk flowers, containing around 150 species. one of the original 38 bach remedies, used for dealing with fears, and shyness --- source )) ----------------
Personality: Mimsy is a generally shy timid thing, fearful of much of the world around her. She tends to stick to areas that are not typically visited or seen by outsiders. If there are visitors or outsiders, like the spirits she believes are all around her, she tries to fade into the background or hide...
She is a highly spiritual mare, believing in the spirits in everything living or dead – she finds a deeper connection to these spirits than any being. She is innocent and fanciful, preferring to live in her own dreamworld ( in her mind ). She is a very gentle compassionate, soul.
She is extremely awkward, ungainly, clumsy and uncomfortable, with those she doesn't know, and most times even with those she does. She often can be found holding conversations with her 'spirits'.
Plot Ideas: (( so I kind of see her as almost an Alice-type character, and would like to see her have some similar adventures and experiences to help her grow and mature and become ))
Spirits All Around- exploring her beliefs and delusions, and the dreamworld she tends to retreat to.
Am I Mad? - someone comes upon her in that state between delusion and reality, causing her question things...
Falling In and Out of Like – she doesn't have any real conception of like and love, about feelings, and gets easily confused when she starts to actually like someone and when she loses the same feeling... the consequences and aftermath of the different situations.
Anything else?:

User Name: ~Latonia de la Courtel~ Name: Hellebore 'Winter Rose' Boneblossom (or) Hellebore Quartz Boneblossom (Winter Rose specifying the variety of Hellebore, if needed, Quartz as an option) ---------------- Personality: Hellebore or "Helle" for short is a collector, a keen-eyed magpie for items that delight or puzzle her. Though she is a sweet-tempered sort, this habit can get her into trouble as she may 'forget' that the shiny she's fallen in love with belonged to someone else. She's terribly apologetic when this occurs and will of course return the object, if she can't barter or trade a trinket of her own for it. (The lifts happen on accident, really. Or maybe you drop something and she just doesn't say so, and picks it up once you have gone. Oops?) To this end she'll spend what time she can wandering to festivals and any sort of social herds (like the Tea Herds, Lapsang Faire and so on). The riot of music and color is terribly interesting to her, and she loves a chance to find new trinkets, meet new people, try new things. The main reason for her interest in collecting items that speak to her is so that she can use them in her practice of cleromancy. Fancying herself something of a soothsayer, Helle will try to read the future by casting stones, bones, bells, or crystals (or coins or bells, anything she can collect in number). She may be right, she may be wrong, but if you ask her about the future she'll surely give you an answer. Plot Ideas: (In addition to meeting any and all relatives that may be available, the plots below are mostly to explore her personality and get her established.)
[A Pretty Thing (In Need of a Home)] Helle starts out collecting objects that don't belong to anyone. A crystal here, an abandoned bell there, some bones from a kill she made all by herself. These items will go into a pouch to be carried with her always, to be trotted out for trade or admiration when the mood strikes her.
[What's Yours... Is Not Mine? Oh.] Helle finds an object she likes in possession of another. Maybe it's the first, maybe it isn't, regardless she liberates it, entranced by whatever it may be. This time she gets caught, and she attempts to barter and bargain with the owner. Maybe they'll trade, maybe they scold and send her on her own without the shiny.. Either way it's an experience for her.
[Ask Me Anything (I'll Tell You.. Something?)] Helle has gathered enough of a collection of items (or perhaps multiple collections, like stones and bones) to attempt reading portents once the lots have been cast. Maybe she makes a name for herself by guessing right, or wrong, but there's no malice in it and she enjoys the practice. (She's convinced that even if you don't know she's right, what she has said will come to pass eventually).
[I Wonder As I Wander] Helle finds herself among the Cheshire Cats and briefly tries her paw at reading tea leaves. She doesn't much care for it, they're mushy and vague. But drinking the tea is good! And she'll get some new trinkets out of it to add to her collection. XD
[Another Kind of Garden?] Helle (might?) find her way to the Lapsang herd during one of their travel years. I'd love her to meet some of the queens (particularly Genevieve Of The Garden?) and learn about their homes or the Kingdoms they represent.
[We All Need A Best Friend] In Her wanderings Helle crosses paths with a familiar (perhaps one that catches her when she liberates an item). They decide to travel with her and be her best friend and either help her find new objects to covet, or keep her out of trouble by reminding her that stealing is impolite. (Toss up, dependent on the type of Fam as well).
Anything else?: Crystal Flowers Oh My Gosh! No, erm, RP with Lolly/Strifey would thrill the Lat? Yes. All the yes. Thank you for this chance to try for this great family! heart ----------------
