And Graham was there, hunting dem Pokemans. And everyone leveled up.
Alyss disappeared again. Goddamn, was that woman a ninja or something? Or did she just get lost really easily for being an airhead, like Mitsumi from Love Hina? Graham had no idea.
But before he could go look for her, the grass rustled. But it wasn't just in one place. No, it rustled all around him. And out popped a Rattata, a Skitty, and a Bidoof. The Skitty took one look at the Rattata before chasing after it, since it was a cat and the purple rat was a mouse, resulting in the two disappearing back into the grass. So all that really remained was the Bidoof. Who had foam around his mouth. Was it feral? There was no way it was going to let them out of here. With a sigh, Graham readied Kippers for a battle, calling Lucius back.
A Water Gun later, the Bidoof had been knocked out and no longer going to hurt anyone. Yeah, he was starting to become too strong for this place. That was not good. Maybe he needed to go to another route, or at least use Lloyd more now that he learned Confusion?

And the grass rustled some more.
This time, a Zigzagoon, a Patrat and a Skitty appeared. It looked like the Skitty from before. And now it chased after the Patrat, who scurried back through the bush, leaving the Zigzagoon all alone. He sent out Lloyd to strike at it with a Confusion, hurting the Pokemon. The Zigzagoon responded with a Growl, lowering the Attack of a Pokemon that didn't use it. Graham then readied a Pokeball before throwing it at the weakened Zigzagoon.
It caught. Woo! He picked up the Pokeball only to watch it disappear from his grasp. Huh? What happened to it? ... Oh, it must have gone to the PC. He heard about that, but was kind of surprised to see that it worked practically anywhere. What happened if there was something stopping the Wi-fi or something?
Well, whatever. He was out of Pokeballs now, so there was no need for him to stick around catching Pokemon anymore. He looked around. "Lee, you still here?"

"The light," Larry shouted as the sun came up, "it burns!" Falling to the ground, Larry dramatically acted like he was dying while making the pretend noises. Sunny, on the other hand, let out an exhausted sigh as the sun came up. The two had just met and already she felt like the only mature one. Raising her small hand, the Snivy would hit Larry lightly on the head. If she knew vine whip, that would have been a hard slap. "Aww, you're no fun," Larry said, getting up. "In all this light, there won't be any ghosts ya' know. I'm only doing this for you. Personally, I hate sunny days." Pulling his hat and hood farther over his head, Larry would continue down Route 1.

"I'm bored," Larry complained as they kept walking. "I'm hungry. It's too hot. There's no ghosts here. I'm thirsty." Sunny turned to glare at Larry now. It was bad enough she had to babby him, but now she had to listen to him complain as well. She might as well be in that Pokéball prison she dreaded so much.
"Snivy!" Sunny said in anger. After that, she begun to give an angry lecture that Larry understood none of. "What?" he said in confusion. Letting out another sigh, she continued foreword. As they walked, Snivy couldn't help but notice her stomach growling. She was hungry too.
When Larry noticed this, he dug into his bag and pulled out some Pokémon food, offering it to Sunny. She was reluctant, but too hungry at the moment to argue. Reaching for the food, the Snivy would suddenly find it disappearing. "What the," Larry said, looking around. Though her trainer didn't see, Sunny was able to find the actual location of the food. It was being digested by a Taillow.
"Snivy!" Sunny shouted, running to the food.

When Larry saw Sunny running, he'd turn to see the small Taillow eating Sunny's food. By the time Taillow noticed Sunny's presence, she had already slammed into it with a tackle, knocking it away. With the food freed, Sunny gobled up the remanders before turning her attention to Taillow. "A new Pokémon," Larry said, coming to stand beside Sunny. Taking out his Pokédex, Larry would figure out what moves Sunny could use anyway.
"Only two," Larry said in disappointment. "Oh well." Larry was about to call for another attack when Taillow angrily came towards Sunny with peak. The now flying Pokémon's attacks hurt, but it was nothing Sunny couldn't handle. "Get back," Larry called.
After Sunny jumped backwards and out of the way, the pecks momentarily stopped. "Can't believe we're actually winning," Larry said, zoning out a bit. Taking advantage of the situation, Taillow let out a desperate growl. It was this move that forced Sunny back into her ball prison. With Sunny out of the way, Taillow came at Night now. "Holy Crap!" Night said fleeing down Route 1. The injured Taillow would follow close behind, pecking at the trainer.

After a while, Larry decided that the only way to end this would be to catch the Taillow. Falling on the ground, Larry would roll over Taillow to escape the pecking after getting a short distance away, Larry turned and threw the ball at the Pokémon, causing a little damage with the attack. As the ball sucked in Taillow, Sunny would pop out of her Poké Ball with a fearful look. Before Larry could say anything, Sunny grabbed her Poké Ball with her mouth and threw it on the ground, trying to smash it with her tail. "That's not gonna work," Larry said, picking the ball of the ground. "Don't worry Sunny, I won't put you in here if you don't like it their. But I have to ask, what's in here that you hate so much? What's it like in a Poké Ball?"
Sunny seemed to be wildly knowledgable about this topic because the next thing Larry knew, she was giving a long speech he understood none of. Since he wasn't really paying attention, he would finally notice the unmoving Poké Ball on the ground. "We did it," Night said in disbelief. Sunny turned to Larry as she realized a new member was added to the team. "We did it!" Night said more enthusiastically. Jumping up and down happily, Night would do a little victory dance while Sunny simply showed her joy with a smirk. When the dance was finished, Larry would race further down the Route.
"C'mon Sunny!" called back as he ran. "We've got Pokémon to catch."

The grass rustled again. Jeez, the wild Pokemon needed to stop being so curious or something. That or he should avoid tall grass for a while. And out popped a Poochyena. The pup looked a little angry and started running at Graham.
"Ah..." said the boy, taking a step back before fleeing, with the Dark-type dog chasing after him.
After a few minutes of running with no sign of the Poochyena giving up, he decided it was time to turn things around. He slid to a halt as he grabbed Miror B.'s Pokeball. "Time to party, Miror B!" he called out, releasing the Lotad. "Hit it with a Nature Power!"
The Lotad shook the lily pad on his back, activating Nature Power. Three orbs of energy appeared before him: one of fire, one of ice, and one of electricity. The three orbs then fired at the Poochyena, striking first with the fire beam, then the ice beam, then the thunder beam, knocking out the pup.
"Huh? Wait, didn't you do something else with Nature Power before? And what the hell was that?" he asked, flipping open his Pokedex. After a few minutes of checking, his face broke into a smile. "Oh... so Nature Power's actual power is dependent on where we fight, and that was apparently a Tri Attack since we're out in the Plains now. Okay, I get it."

Larry dusted himself off as he got off the ground, letting out a sigh at having another Sunny around. "Fiesty aren't we," Larry said. That's when a name came in his mind. Fiesty made him think of spicy and spicy made him think of peppers. What better name for the little bird then Pepper.
"Think I'll call you Pepper," Night continued with a smile. "If Sunny hasn't told ya', the name's Larry. Nice to-" Larry cut off when he saw the sun go down in the distance. Night had fallen and Ghost was in his element now.
"It's finally Night!" Larry said enthusiastically. "C'mon team, let's go catch some ghosts!" Pepper and Sunny weren't as enthusiastic as Larry, but they followed nonetheless. Unfortunately, as they searched the area, they found nothing but regular sleeping Pokémon. However, Larry did notice a strange red glow in the distance. They were eyes staring right at them.
"Ghosts!" Larry screamed excitedly as he ran towards the light with his arms in the air. However, rather than finding a ghost, Larry instead found a small bird staring at him. "Hoothoot," it said with still glowing eyes. This bird saw what Larry couldn't see.
