I'm like this too. My muse sometimes just smashes my head in with a giant hammer of inspiration and I start writing, sometimes like a madman. XD It can start out from a simple line. The sentence "Rap is crap" started out an entire poem that ends up with somebody dying in a car crash. Umm I have that giant poem about zOMG! and several others involving a few boss areas. I've written a lot of darker poetry, too. Violent stuff. Unlife of a Zombie is really gory. XD Not for the weak stomached or hearted.

You and I could not be more opposite when it comes to our subject matter!
Virtually everything I write is either silly or satirical; song parodies being one of my favourite things.
While I have yet to write something zOMG! related (which kind of surprises me when I think of how much time I've spent in zOMG!), Gaia's Forum Events have provided a rich source of sillyness for my muse, some of which I even posted in my profile just in case I hadn't embarrassed myself in front of enough people during the particular Event that inspired it. rofl
Other than as a cathartic during moments of emotional upset, I haven't written anything dark since my teen years when every break up seemed like it was the end of the world.
Looking back on some of the songs I wrote during those years, I have a newfound respect for the stuff I write now. rofl
Oooohnonononono. I don't mean emo-dark. I mean horror/murder/battlefield dark. I'll post a few examples for you. And I've done 2 song parodies. XP I Am Spider-Man (I am Iron Man) aaand Welcome to the Dungeon (Welcome to the Jungle) They're not all that good, but they were fun to write. I also wrote an entire song for 12 days of christmas for burger king or something like that but I lost the song and I can't remember it worth s**t. I love Weird Al.
Aaalso, I don't mind you editing my post. It's all good. XP
