your school is backwards. World and AP European History are typically sophomore classes, while US/ AP USH is a junior class.

Our school was Frosh: World History. Soph: US1. Junior: US2. Senior: Freedom from history.
Our school was this: Freshman: Careers/Health, Sophomore: World history: Late 1600's - late 1950's, Junior: US History 1960's-present(2000-2001), and Senior: Econ/Civics.

Ahh, so basically similar to what we take here.
Must be how CA rolls xD
They changed it the year I was a Senior though cause of new (state? ) requirements so it was Freshman had to take Geography instead of Health/Careers, but they changed it back the year (02-03) after I graduated. Stupid district.... cat_stare At least my class got all kids of requirements dropped though cat_blaugh

haha wow xD
Mine have geography as an optional semester course. o3o

The only problem that I had with that was that they bough NEW textbooks and never even used em. It was a waste confused

When I took US history they threw in a bit o geography, but it was like, I ALREADY KNOW WHERE MAINE IS, WTF AM I TAKING GEOGRAPHY? The sad part is that I live near our state capital and a lot of the students here don't even know what it is *le sigh*

My school has it something along the lines of
10th grade - World History
11th grade - US History
12th grade - Economy and Government
O:

It's the same, Turtle o:, with the exception of Human Geography

That's an optional class for us ^^;
And the grades are different.
Though, I don't know what APUSH is?
Edit: and you guys take World History as a second history, right? It's first for us.

Human Geography is optional, it's an elective.

Advanced Placement United States History= APUSH.

It's out first history in Highschool.

Ahh. Those are some required classes to graduate for us.
Ohh okay then. o3o

I'm pretty good with US geography.. Our history teacher last year did a lot with it.

I'm really not surprised, to most of the students the biggest deal was where the next party/score/sex thing they did was confused It wasn't as much as knowing where it was, as much as what it was called. It's sad.

Even though AP Human Geography is optional, I strongly advise you to take it. Not because that I really love the class, but because it helps you understand what's going on with people these days. Honestly, even if you're not going to major in anything related to it in College, this is stuff that is going on around the world now. Very nice to be able to apply knowledge to it.

50% of the people taking the course fail the exam though...

Well, all of my classes will be taken up next year, but if I ever get any electives the next few years I'll remember you suggested to take the class. ^^
I've had others say that it's a really good class to take, but they normally say it's an easy class. O:

It is an easy class.
Usually it is the first AP class most people take, so they are not used to the college question format.

That would make sense then. It's the only AP class that freshman ca take at my school xD

Questions for my study guide for AP 'Merican history o3o

The last 27 aren't particularly hard, they're all names and faces, but I left my notes in my car and am too lazy to go get them sweatdrop

Is Terror a junior in highschool?

Da, although AP 'merican is most commonly taken by sophmores. It's just my schedule would have meant repeating a history class since I took world history in 9th grade and WH is a junior class at my new school.

EDIT:

or another elective or a study hall. but since AP is weighted 3 and one of the easiest core classes i will probably take at this school, i decided why the hell not.

your school is backwards. World and AP European History are typically sophomore classes, while US/ AP USH is a junior class.

in PA, it's World is 9th grade, US is 10th grade, Civics and government is Senior, and your junior year are semester classes/AP versions if you didn't take them your sophmore/freshmen year.

At my current school, it's Recent US = Sophmore, AP American history = Sophmore/junior/senior (only the latter two can dual-enroll for college), World = Junior (or AP world for college credits), and Civics and government = Senior year

Oh, you're in PA? That would explain it. (I used to live in the Pittsburgh area)
