When you originally open to towns 2, go down and to the right. Int the bottom right corner there is an arrow. Click the arrow and you will go to the dock under the boardwalk. There will be a man in a boat on the far right. Click the orange box and it will give you the option of placing your house. It will take a while do to lag so please be patient.

This is going to sound like a stupid question, but how do I equip my fluff to my avatar? I can't find it anywhere in my inventory. D:

You need to go to your house in Towns 2 and equip it smile
If you haven't adopted one yet, that's also in Towns 2.
If you don't have a house, that's the root of your problems.

The best way I found to earn loyalty was to wash my pet before a tic-tac-toe match with someone.
It doesn't matter if you win or lose the match, as long as you play as much as you can. Washing your fluff will increase its speed as you go about your matches. At the end of every match, you'll notice an increase in your fluff's loyalty.
