- A patient, doll-like vampire sat on the back-seat of an open carriage with hands folded on his lap, analyzing his surroundings until the young boy finally recognized the building that had been beyond the large trees scattered above, and around him. Sky-blue eyes widened as the vehicle was finally approaching the outskirts that surrounded that college Yurei is to attend once more, a sigh escaping from the boy's petal-pink lips at the thought of escaping the hell that had been his home. Well, another year of "fun". Anything was better than having dinner with two stuck-up older brothers who did nothing but talk about their achievements, and parents who did nothing but praise them for their achievements, no matter how small they seemed to be. God knows how many times Yurei had to excuse himself from dinner .. but hey .. it kept him looking skinny. Ah! He already knew what he would do when he got there. A bite of an apple would sound nice. The young vampire lay back on his seat. "It's just up ahead. I won't need to go shopping today. Everything is in my dorm already." he told the driver, who merely nodded without even sparing a glance back, "It doesn't even matter if I'm late anyway ..." Yurei mumbled the last part of his sentence under his breath before they made their way into the city ... and inevitably, toward the school that he called his "second home".
"Here. The front gates." Just those words forced the carriage to a halt as Yurei turned his head around to face them, the two finally arriving after a short while. With the horse calmed down, the driver quickly got out of his seat to open the door for the young master, who waited a bit before beginning to step out. He seemed to just marvel at the large, school building .. in which was surrounded by smaller school buildings that bore no significance when compared to the main one. There it was ... under the massive, blue morning sky .... "Young Master?" Yurei flinched at the words as he was snapped out of his daydreaming, a pale hand running through bubblegum locks at the sudden breeze that blew by, greeting him. "Yes, I'm awake." Yurei smiled before taking the driver's hand to jump out, revealing the full get-up that he decided would be the "first day's armor". Ruffles adorned each and every end of ribbons that hugged his figure. Long, black stockings covered his legs under red ballet shoes. A rose head-band served as a crown atop pink locks of short hair. "Thank you. You may leave now." The male turned his head to face the kneeling driver, who again nodded before running back to his carriage. This was going to be Yurei's second year at the academy .. and the tolling of the great bells signified it as he stepped through the gates, ruby shoes clicking with each movement forward.
If anything, Yurei was early. Blue orbs glanced around outside to find little to no one there .. well .. the bell had rung .. maybe they were all just good students who decided to go to homeroom so they wouldn't be late. He was also making sure that the young vampire didn't stumble upon any weres. Those nasty things hated his kind. Oh well. What happens, happens. A more important thing to think about was if Yurei should make an appearance for homeroom? Was it worth it? Ugh. Decisions, decisions. "Might as well show up there too .. then." he sighed, "There will be new faces after all .. I'll just make sure they know who I am." Last year's batch ... meh. He expected more. Maybe this year's batch would serve him something better. Yurei giggled at the images of astonished reactions flickering in his mind. There may also be jealous faces there mixed in from the women whom he knew were below him. But first, where should Yurei go before being a good student? It would be simply boring just to go straight to class. Oh! He remembered! An apple. Now .. where was that cafeteria again? He never visited it often, but it was somewhere around the main building.
The hallways were somewhat empty, but there were a few stares here and there from new and old students as Yurei passed by. He didn't care, even though it did last all the way until he reached the cafeteria, especially since his shoes did make a lot of sound when stepping on marble. Apples. That had been his goal. It was a long journey having to go all the way from home to here on a carriage with nothing to drink but water. The young boy deserved an apple. "Now .. let's see ..." Yurei grabbed a tray and walked over by the empty line, passing by all the other proteins, carbs, etc. before he stumbled upon the fruits. Apples ... Apples ... Ah! Here we go! He grabbed the reddest, ripest one and placed it on the tray. Wait .. why did he need a tray? Yurei soon ditched the flat metal before walking over to one of the tables by the window. Peace and Quiet ... There were a few whispers here and there .. but at least nobody was loud. Time to dig in.
