Shiro was sitting in her room eating sushi from the cooking class, Crya and Akagitsune had come in to deliver the sushi to her. She had requested from the cooking teacher that they make sushi for her, it was a joke, but the cooking teacher got the students to make her sushi. She smiled
"it's so good!" Suddenly a kid came into the room crying, it was a young Rozario girl, just came into the school. She had just gotten a kemono partner, an older girl who was quite proud of her skills. She put the sushi in her fridge and walked to the girl leading her to the couch. The girl seemed terrified, she got the girl to look up at her and she lit a fire on the table in a special bowl. The girl stared at the multicolored flame called Calming Fire. The girl stopped crying and had calmed down after a few moments of staring at the fire.
"Now what happened? What are you so upset about?"
"We went on our first mission together, me and my partner... It was my first time seeing a real Akuma, I was so scared I froze... The Akuma came after me, I couldn't move and my partner took the hit for me. She was bleeding so badly, but she killed the Akuma and came to me asking if I was alright... then she fainted... I carried her to the village and the doctors there gave her emergency aid, they said she'd live and helped me get in the car to come back to the academy. She's receiving full treatment now from the doctors and the nurses... but it's all my fault she got hurt, I shouldn't of frozen up like that after training for so long to fight them..." The girl started tearing up again, but the fire was helping keep her in check. Shiro wrapped the girl in her arms and hugged her close.
"Your partner chose to jump in and save you, it's not your fault... The Akuma are very terrifying beings, I had seen plenty before coming to this school, my parents fought them off from us and trained us to fight them. I froze up when I saw my first Akuma, many kids do. And the thing to be grateful for is that your partner is alive. What you can do for your partner is tag along with someone on a mission or go to the Akuma teacher to show you different Akuma footage to get used to seeing them. When tagging along on missions, all you can do is get the citizens to safety while the pair you tagged with fight, but you'll at least get to see an Akuma up close. Also, make sure to visit your Kemono, they always appreciate being visited when they get hurt in battle, especially by their Rozario. It makes us happy knowing our Rozario cares, and tell your Kemono that you'll do better next time and you'll be training hard to fight beside them on the battlefield. And make sure you keep your promise, okay?" Shiro told the girl with a smile
"also, remember that she jumped in to save you, you didn't summon her to take the attack for you, so it isn't your fault." Shiro told the girl and looked at the fire for a moment, it was changing from one color to the next, it always avoided the color red, she had noticed, it never turned red or orange.
"Your partner, she froze up on the battlefield for her first Rozario, they got killed because of it. She never forgave herself and cried to me often of how it was her fault, she talks tough, but really she's a big softy. I had to imbue a calming fire into a pendent for her for how often she went into hysterics and cried over her first Rozario's death. Now she has you, make sure she knows your okay, alright? Or she'll never forgive herself. Oh, and don't forget to thank her for saving your life." Shiro said still hugging the girl. They stayed there together staring at the fire until the girl had calmed down enough to go out. She had asked her where she was going and she told Shiro she was going to visit her Kemono and then clean the Kemono wing and her Kemono's room as an apology and a thank you.
"Have fun then" Shiro told the girl and hugged her one last time before waving good bye. Her tail started waving as the girl bowed to her and closed the door. Shiro jumped over the couch and chairs in the room and opened the fridge grabbing her sushi and started eating again
"definitely the best!" She said happily.
