Drake left the cafeteria with the same black book and less hunger. He made his way around the hallways, past somebody in a lavender outfit, past two people who seemed to be flirting...

Finally, he entered his favorite place in the world: the library. This was the place that usually had only a few people, and it was Drake's favorite place for reading.

He searched the shelves until he found a strange book that seemed to spark his interest.

Drake laughed slightly, in spite of himself. He immediately regretted it. Making friends on the first day? This was definitely unlike him. He unzipped his backpack and pulled out clothes, books, possessions, even a bottle of orange juice (it was five years old; he decided to keep that orange juice as a memoir on the day that they cancelled its usage).

He pulled out a dark book and went into the hallways, reading it absentmindedly. He didn't know what to do next, but he didn't really care. After reading a bit, he felt hunger.

Walking into the cafeteria, he picked out a bit of lunch and sat down at the table to eat it. His stomach smiled in return.

Cloud boredly went over everything that he had. He made sure twice and placed everything neatly. Amazingly, he was like Goth only slightly neater. He was bored and had that slight ruthless feeling still on him so he began tearing off small pieces of dried paint on the wall and burned them. Not before long, he grew tired of that too.
Sorry for the extra post...

He flipped through the book of spells, looking for anything interesting. Luckily, he occasionally did, and read it through thoroughly.

Finally, he grew bored of it. However, he knew there might be more interesting things that he hadn't managed to read up until now, so he checked it out with the librarian before returning to his endless walking in the hallways.
While wandering,Elissa remembered, she didn't have a book to read. Her books had been burned by her parents and deemed unholy. She went to the library in search of new entertainment.
When she walked in it was very quiet, and only one or two people were in there. She began to look around. She found a book on the back of a shelf, it was untitled and without the name of the auothour, but the picture on it's cover intrigued her. It was of a girl sitting against a tree, and she seemed to be talkigng with it. she immediately snatched it up, and went to sit down and read it.
Cloud soon grew bored of his room and stepped out. Now that he wasn't in a bad mood, he felt like playing a sport. However, he chose not to. His energy was way too low. He decided to head towards something that intrests him more.

He went to the cafetria and grabbed a soda. Afterwards, he went back to his room. 2 people that looked like they were flirting nearly blocked the hallway. He managed to pass the 2 after hearing some of their conversation. He wanted to read now.

He crushed the can of soda and burned it. Once again, he threw the ashes outside. He opened a book he brought. After some hunting and searching for the book, he finally found it. The book was about fire magicians and how they controled their powers.

Cloud had some probloms managing his large fire attacks so he constantly read that book. He stayed in his room. On his bed he read while whispering the words to himself.
Drake, for some reason, was driven back to the library. He couldn't help it. It was just always so quiet there.

Upon walking in, he saw a girl with some sort of book. He felt curious, but alas, his bashful personality took over. He didn't snoop; he just sat on a different table. Still curious, though, he glanced towards the girl again.
Cloud continued reading for a while. After he''s daily reading was over, he than went to play some sports. He changed clothes into something much lighter and headed to the basketball court. He shot the ball for a few times, mostly making it, until something came to mind. Why should he be doing normal things at this school? Cloud quickly left the court, back into his room and changed back into his formal clothes. Than, he got out a small, foldable table and began writting letters to his parents and friends. After that he got a call. Once Cloud picked of the phone he heard a familar voice. Cloud nearly dropped the phone when he heard the voice!
As Elissa read farther and farther into the book, the more disturbed she became. The words, these words, were practically her own. The pages were describing her life, down to every last personal detail. She stopped reading suddenly, frightened out of her wits. She slmmed the book shut and looked up, to see a boy staring at her.
Drake continued to look at her. He felt a strange feeling...

There was a split second where he was awkwardly staring strangely, when he suddenly decided to take his book.

Drake opened it up and flipped through the pages. He found one that seemed different from the others.

The sixth day of the sixth month will lead to a new journey.

... Intrigued, Drake thought about it.

The sixth day of the sixth month... that's June 6th. But what's so special about it? A new journey?

Disregarding what he had read, Drake stuffed the book back in his pocket and looked around the library once again. And, once again, at the girl.
It was Cloud's best freiend from before he moved, Maven. Cloud was extremly happy that his friend remembered him and called him. However, something was wrong... Maven's voice wasn't cheerful or glad at all, it was sad and filled with despair. Cloud quickly asked questions, but slowly noticed that Maven's voive was depressed.

Cloud than asked Maven "What's wrong?". Cloud nearly dropped the phone again. A mad sugre of anger and sadness overtook Cloud. What had been reported to him was unbelievable! His parents died... Cloud wept for awhile and stayed in his room forthe rest of the day, crying.
Elissa saw the boy look down at his book again and she was relieved. But when he looked up and continued staring at her, she felt a touch awkward. Though, she didn't care much at the moment, she was far too bewildered by this book. Why was it her? She tryed to get up, but, upon trying, she stumbled to the floor. She felt so completely unstable and uncomfortable.
Tired, Drake left the library at last. He was nearly sad to see it go... it had made him felt happy, and he had learned a riddle to work out. Another thing on his mind was the girl... she had left him questioning.

Drake swept down the hallways and made it back to his dormitory. The door seemed to be extra hard to open this time... but it didn't matter to him. When he came in, the first thing he saw was a large, jet black bed. It was tidy and clean, and it looked absolutely comfortable to sleep in. It was his own bed... he sighed.

Then, something else caught his eye. His roommate, Cloud, seemed to be sound asleep in the bed that belonged to him. Cloud had already organized everything inside the closet they shared; Drake had yet to do that, but that could wait until tomorrow.

Drake walked closer to his bed and began to tidy it up, when he suddenly heard some soft noise. He looked around him, but couldn't locate the sound. He was about to return to his fixing of the bed when he heard the noise again. Once again, he failed to figure out where it came from.

At last, he figured out where it came from. It was Cloud. What was going on with him? Drake moved closer... and heard a bit of very soft weeping.

Drake's eyes blasted open at once. Weeping? What had happened that had he missed? It was only the first day of school, and he already felt lost.

Drake nearly wanted to wake him up and ask him what had happened, but he decided that it wouldn't seem right. At breakfast next morning, he resolved, he would ask him. But for now, his tired body felt too sleepy to do much of anything. Drake undressed and laid himself to sleep.
Riley gets tired of her book and decides to walk around *I might as well see if I can find some of my classrooms Im sure that will help me out alot when classes start and I definatly have to find the library bcuz Im sure that like every yr Ill be spending alot of my time in there.* with a sad sigh she gets up and head for the school

Next morning, Drake got most of his putting-away done. Cloud didn't really seem to get up the whole day, so he left a note.

Cloud, it's Drake... if you're reading this, please tell me what's going on.

Drake didn't bother making it any longer, because he was anxious to get back to the library. He also didn't want Cloud to think of him as a friend... at least not until he got to know him better.

He headed off to the library, once again finding out that few people were there. He flipped out his black book once more; he had been keeping it with him the whole time. It was strange; whenever he was near it, he seemed to be happier. It had become... sort of a friend. Drake, being a recluse, probably would like a book friend more than a human friend.

Reading a bit more, he enjoyed his free time in the library. When he found out that school started on Wednesday, he didn't really approve of it as much as he would have. He loved spending the time reading through his book, and didn't want to give up time just for school.

Drake laughed. Right now, his book was the most important thing to him. He continued to sit in the library, reading contentedly.
