(stick to their race. a salarian can't go over 40 unless it's a very rare case, while asari and krogans can go up to 1000)

Often the asari regarded as the most advanced of races and are well regarded amongst the council. That an asari mating with another species is considered to be the norm. Unfortunately, Ishrys is neither. She is the product of two asari, a pureblood if you will. This is not a good thing, for she is seen as a waste of space. Worse still, she is an Ardat Yakshi. For the lack of better words, she is an even bigger waste of space. This fact was actually not discovered until she was well into her training to become a huntress. Only when she found love and attempted to meld, did she realise she was an unintentional femme fatale.
Unlike others of her kind, Ishrys has never really had any urge to meld her minds with anyone. Not out of sheer desire anyway. She had indeed spent a century or so in a monastery alongside her fellow ardat yakshi, but an opportunity came up for her that never presented itself to others. You see, she was always something of a diplomat, advocating for her fellow ardat yakshi and doing what she could while stuck in the confines of the monastery. Nevertheless, since she came across as cooperative, she had allowed herself to become something of an interrogator for the asari, melding her mind with that of her unlucky captive in order to break them and gain information quicker. Indeed, she was better than most when it came to finding out information through sheer force.
However, this also meant that Ishrys has a lot of blood on her hands. And this is blood she cannot wash off, as much as she wishes she could.
Ishrys is not malicious. She never intends to use her genetic defect for harm, but she refuses to be seen as anything less than a living being either, demanding that ardat yakshi not be treated like they’re some monsters, especially by their own kind. She has gotten into many arguments regarding this with the asari councillor, but alas, it appears that her pleas go nowhere. Nevertheless, she has something of a working relationship with the asari councillor, willing to be the bad cop to her good cop, or just negotiate properly on her behalf whenever the situation calls for it. Essentially, she has grown to be a diplomat.
The arrangement initially started as her interrogating captives who were taken to the monastery. But after a while, it became evident that this would logistically be a pain in the backside. So instead, she started being sent out under heavy supervision. This eventually led to her relocation to Thessia. It’s not pleasant for her there. The constant surveillance was insane, but this was out of the ordinary for both herself and the asari as a whole. Them letting go of their moral code in order to work with a defect for their gain? Unheard of. Regardless, this forced cooperation gave both sides simultaneous leverage over one another, and that was enough for Ishrys. Being in politics for so long actually taught her a lot about how to navigate bureaucracy and red tape with ease. She obviously continued her huntress training once she returned. Four centuries have passed since then, and while she has found out she is quite gifted in biotics, Ishrys lags significantly behind in general combat prowess, being of weak constitution and not the best with weapons either. Instead, she makes up for it with biotics and a way with words and strategy.
During her time as a pseudo diplomat, only a select few asari know of her status as ardat yakshi. The rest assume she is as normal as they come. Attractive even. Alas, she refuses every romantic advance she may receive because Ishrys doesn’t actually wish to cause harm. She still struggles in coming to terms with all the lives she has taken during her time as an interrogator. She understands, of course. This is why she has never quite made it to being a matron, even though many asari her age would be well on their way to do so.
In truth, Ishrys didn’t think she was cut out for the task force. Supposedly, there may be a need for a diplomat who is willing to use force if needed. One who is a strategist and planner. All the things she is good at. She openly admits she will be a burden to anyone in combat, but when it comes to gaining and using information, she will prove to be a valuable asset. She hopes that this will change the minds of asari about the ardat yakshi; that they can be perfectly capable members of society who need not be locked away for their entire lives.

Ishrys loves fish, and has an aquarium in her quarters. Whenever she is on shore leave, she makes sure to check out the different stores for new species and fish food.

In general, Ishrys is a glass cannon. Very good with biotics, but terrible with actual on the ground combat. She is better off being the nerve centre of missions. She is also willing to take over her interrogation duties as and when required.
