☆ Ted is a sweet, cheerful young man who's always tried to look on the bright side of things. Even if he can't, he'll hide whatever negativity he's feeling so as not to worry or upset those around him. He's got a curious nature, always willing to learn new things, to see new places and meet new people. He isn't particularly loud - in fact, he's quite soft-spoken - but he's talkative enough, and quite friendly. He'd sooner make friends than enemies, and one would have to actually be trying in order to get on his bad side. Like others of his house, as it was one of Helga Hufflepuff's preferred traits in her students, he's a loyal and hard-working individual, as well as patient.
Teddy also has a good sense of humor and is quite playful - he enjoys making people smile or laugh, with a well-placed comment or a sudden shift in his appearance. While he's always missed his own parents, he knows that they died to make the world a better place, and so he can be a little bitter towards people who take their own parents lightly and complain about them often. With a 'significant other' he can be quite affectionate and gentle, as well as romantic in the way of going out of his way to perform silly little surprises and give little gifts to show how he cares. ←

Ted was born during the Second Wizarding War, and was only a month old during the Battle of Hogwarts, in which he lost both of his parents, Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks. The baby would never know his parents, but would grow up with constant stories about them, about how great they were and how much they loved him. It was hard, but he was well-raised by his grandmother - his mother's mother - Andromeda, and while he would always miss his own parents, he loved her dearly. He was also, as it were, close to the Weasley and Potter families: partially because of his late parent's relationships with them, and partially because Harry Potter himself was the boy's godfather. He spent quite a lot of time at their various households, particularly the Potters, to the point where he almost felt like a part of the clan himself, visiting at least four times a week for dinner and spending quite a bit of time with the children. A few months after he turned eleven an owl arrived at Andromeda's home, bearing a letter for Ted with elegant writing in green ink on the front, as well as the Hogwart's school emblem. His grandmother was overjoyed, going to the Potter's where Teddy was yet again to give him his letter. There was no end to the cheerful congratulations, and Ted himself was ecstatic. He was hardly able to keep still in the days leading up to his first official school-supply trip to Diagon Alley, and when that day came, he was sent with Harry - who, being younger than Andromeda, had more energy and was more likely to be able to keep up with his godson. They went with Bill and his daughter Victoire, who was also going to be attending her first year at Hogwarts. Ted was wholly incapable of holding still for a minute - he was constantly darting from shop to shop, babbling about which cauldron he wanted, what pet, how neat that broom looked (even though he hated flying,) and Harry, do you think Mom would have liked that?
With a new pet owl, Levi, and a whole cart-load of supplies in tow, Ted and his guardian went to get his wand from old Olivander. It was amazing that, with his age and what he'd suffered during the war, he was still alive and working, but Ted, completely oblivious, went in with that enthusiastic gleam to his eyes - which he'd since changed to a startling shade of bright pink, just to see the reactions of people on the street. After several failed attempts with some wands - one that almost resulted in setting the hem of Harry's robes aflame - he finally found his wand (or perhaps it found him: he never really understand the whole thing.) Thirteen inches long, made of chestnut wood with a dragon heartstring core. Pleasantly springy too, apparently, though he dared not test the springiness for fear of breaking his new wand. He was ready to go to Hogwarts right then and there - but, like the others, he had to wait until Spring, when he left behind his extended family for the first time on the Hogwarts Express. Every year after that became fairly much the same, truly. He'd go home from the Summer, a touch disappointed to leave the school behind - as in the first year, it had already very much become his second home. Ted was quick to make friends among his house, Hufflepuff, with both his sweet disposition and the unique ability he'd inherited from his mother. It never failed to earn attention if his hair went from brown to blue, or if he suddenly took on the appearance of a classmate sitting across from him. Maybe it wasn't always the best attention - it seemed to get on the nerves of his professors sometimes - but Ted was just happy to be meeting new people. Though he did enjoy spending time with the ones he already had - particularly Fred and Victoire, since they started their first year at the same time he did. As the years passed he decided he wanted to be an Auror, just like his mother, and so he began to focus on those classes needed - and doing quite well. Even if he was, for example, quite fond of Charms and Potions, he could still do well at Herbology, which he... Wasn't particularly fond of. Before long the rest of the clan came to Hogwarts, and it... Really began to feel like home. Ted isn't sure he even really wants to graduate at the end of the year now. ←

☆ Albus is quite a quiet young thing, perhaps enough to be called somewhat introverted. He isn't very naturally outgoing or charming like either of his parents: instead, he's awkward and quiet around people he doesn't know and, though he keeps it well-hidden, he has very little confidence in himself. He's cunning and ambitious, as befitting Slytherin house, though he inherited Harry's hard-headed determination, so when he puts his mind to something - you can bet it'll get done. And done well, as he hates to half-a** things, instead preferring to put the effort into it do do it properly. But, unlike the stereotypical Slytherin, Al is a nice young man. He's a little uncomfortable in large groups but he's sweet, always willing to lend an ear or a hand to a friend that needs it, and to stick up for those that can't hold their own ground. He has little tolerance for bullies, in fact, even in they come from his own house. Unlike his father, he's also quite smart and hard-working when it comes to school - especially if he's interested in the subject matter.
Like other individuals he has his own likes and dislikes, but he's been known to put those aside on occasion to try and make his parents proud, since he worries often about what they - particularly his dad - think of him, more than ever since he was Sorted into Slytherin. With his friends, Albus is more talkative and upbeat, and with anybody on his bad side he can actually be rather snarky and sarcastic. He can also have quiet a temper when he gets worked up, not afraid to whip out his wand and deliver a good hex when the situation calls for it. He hates being compared to either of his parents - again, particularly his father - since he wants to just be himself, not just his mom or dad's shadow. So when he gets riled up he can be notably waspish, to put it one way - and it's more noticeable when it comes to his older brother, James. While he loves both of his siblings and would do anything for them, dear James tends to grate on his nerves on occasion. He might be nervous at making friends, but that's nothing compared to actual intimate relationships: Albus has never had a girlfriend (or a boyfriend, for that matter,) never been kissed, never slept with anybody... Nothing. He can be easy to fluster and stutters and talks quickly when really embarrassed. ←

☆The day Albus was born was two and a half months before the due date, during a very large family gathering at Molly Weasley's home. The whole clan had settled in for dinner when Ginny went into labor, shocking every single body packed into the back garden - he was later told that everybody was quite startled, James in particular crying because of the confusion, as they all Floo'd off to St. Mungos - save for Harry and Ginny, who took a magicked car instead, since Harry was - despite being a second-time father - concerned what the Floo system would do to the infant. They certainly got there with little time to spare: Ginny had already been in labor for an hour, thanks to having to take a car to the hospital, and was in the delivery room for eight more after that before little Albus was born. Tiny, a tad underweight, and crying loudly. Needless to say, the whole Weasley hoard was quite excited to see the new addition. He was around seven when he came into his magic, having quite an average childhood before that - well, as average as it could get, being the son of the famous Boy Who Lived and a top-notch member of the Holyhead Harpies. But without the media attention things were almost normal, even if his family was quite... Massive, when one counted in all of the cousins and uncles and aunts.
The day he first learned of his gift was one he'd always be able to remember: Albus was having a small fight with his parents, which ended with him being angrily sent up to his room. He threw a pillow at the wall, and it... Blew a hole in it. His startled parents ran up to check on him only to find their son staring blankly at the crater in his bedroom wall, absolutely stunned by what had happened. It became a moment to laugh about later in life, but at the time he was just glad to see that he was magical, since James had already come into his magical ability and he didn't want to be 'left behind' as it were. The next four years were spent learning how to try and control his magic before he went to Hogwarts after his elder brother - the day he received his letter was one of extreme excitement for Albus, and he was almost bouncing off the walls up to the day they went to Diagon Alley to get his things. He'd never admit it, but after leaving for the first time on the Hogwarts Express, after the deep talk with his father, he missed his parents horribly. And he was... Scared. Of the Sorting in particular, worried about what house he would be in, and being completely and utterly nauseous when he was put in Slytherin. What would his parents think? What about the rest of his family?
But, despite his concerns, Al has settled quite well into his House, making a number of good friends there. The media ate it up like candy - son of Harry Potter, savior of the Wizarding World, in Slytherin - and while it really did a blow on his self-confidence, he did his best to ignore it. Albus went to his classes, finding he was quite skilled at Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions (the latter of which he actually came to really enjoy.) Adamantly believing that his entire family has been disappointed in him since his Sorting, he's been determined to try and change that, looking forward to his sixth year as a time for him to really get his act together. ←
