They know me by the name of:
Saint Michael
I look like this:
I am: Six feet - shorter than most, but not something that Michael is concerned about.
Can't you see I'm a:
Male
Upon creation, I had this power:
Pyrokinesis
Michael has elemental control over the element of fire, the opposite to the ice of his arch enemy, Lucifer. When calling upon this power with all of his energy, or when he is truly desperate, he can call for a unique Holy white flame that is particularly powerful against demons. Unfortunately, it can cause severe damage to his own body in the process - a sacrifice that simply must be made.
Telekinesis
This ability allows him to lift physical objects through his willpower. It relies heavily upon his emotions at the time - happiness or hopefulness will cause his attempts to be much more easy and simple. Anger will be equally successful, but may take extra time or test his remaining strength. When Michael is depressed, he can barely lift anything at all. This power does not only affect items, but also living organisms, although moving a demon, angel or even human strains him far more.
Telepathy
The saint can communicate others through mental connection, and it is one of the factors that makes him such a formidable enemy - as a general, he does not need to shout commands or advice to others. His army is swift and unpredictable. He cannot go so far as to read minds or histories, however - not that he would want to. Michael is a humble and respectful man, and would never dare to invade someone else's privacy.
I master:
Coercion
Whether it be through persuasion or intimidation, Michael will very rarely fail to learn what information he wishes to know. Knowledge is a superior weapon, after all.
Warrior
He's incredibly skilled with his sword and, occasionally, his shield. Very few in Heaven stand a chance against him in armed combat, one of them being his aide, Zadkiel.
Navigator
Michael has memorized every feature of the earth. No matter where he may be, he will eventually come to recognise his position and know where to move next, if he's unable to return to Heaven.
Leader
The saint has no difficulty in organising his crew and giving out orders. He tries to be as fair and just as a battlefield will allow, because he knows that without his army he is nothing at all.
I'm a:
Seraphim - an angel blessed with six wings.
I'm a bit:
Michael is, most notably, stoic. To those he does not immediately recognise he will be distant, wary, and withdrawn. Perhaps it is not expected of an angel, but who can truly blame him? Michael is the general of God's army, and it was one of his closest friends that betrayed them - who became his most hated enemy. As a result he can sometimes act overly suspicious, but with time and patience anyone can earn a place in the seraphim's heart. He is incredibly loyal to his Lord and to those who fight in his army, although his love for his fellow angels can sometimes be his weakness - he is very easily deceived, and mentally is quite vulnerable. Hence, once again, his originally-cold nature. Michael is selfless and would willingly sacrifice himself for any one of his companions, but when it comes to putting his conscience to rest he can be quite a pest; he will hinder anyone, Lucifer included, for a chance to understand why they inflicted their torturous actions upon his kind. To his enemies he is quite relentless; he cannot forgive Lucifer or the fallen ... can he? Perhaps he can. Despite the air of confidence and pride he exudes, Michael is secretly always at war with himself, always questioning his actions and whether he could have achieved a better result. It is his own harshness upon himself that causes him to be so successful.
I like:
Jophiel, Zadkiel, his fellow angels, God, peace of mind, humans, the seven virtues
But I hate:
Lucifer, the fallen, demons, the seven sins, restlessness, the dark.
Bio:
It has been a very long time since Michael first saw light. Since his creation he was intended to be the field commander of God, and that is exactly what he is. With the help of his two aides, Jophiel and Zadkiel, the Lord's army was something incredibly glorious to behold - fortunately, there were no enemies for it to battle against. Michael grew stronger and wiser alongside the other archangels, and like most of their kind not only looked up to their ruler Himself, but to another angel: Helel, the most beautiful of their kind. He was even more powerful than Michael himself, but the general did not see this as a threat. Of course, at the time, he viewed Helel as an ally - no, perhaps more than that. Maybe he saw that angel as a brother of sorts. Nowadays, Michael cannot be sure; the past, so gentle and kind, seems so inferior now ...
It all began when their Lord made the announcement that they would devote their energy toward the safety and happiness of the humans. It was a decision that Michael was pleased with, but not everyone felt the same. Helel was one of these angels, and he spoke up about his feelings, declaring that the humans were weak and that God was as well, for having ordered such a thing. He tried to convince the angels to change their loyalty to him, and to leave God's side. It was a moment of disaster and confusion, yet Michael was calm. He didn't need to move; he knew where his loyalties laid. With Zadkiel and Jophiel at side, he went about attempting to capture the rebellious prince.
They failed, but Helel went to God nevertheless. There, the two ultimate beings battled fiercely, until the weaker of the two cleverly sought out his sire's weakness. When the throne shattered, God retreated to safety, and the darkened angel smiled ... had he won? Michael shook his head and gritted his teeth. No! As long as he, the general, still continued to draw breath then Helel would have an enemy to worry about. With that thought in mind, the angel leapt forward and engaged the strongest of their kind in combat. At first their battle was flamboyant and stunning, but Michael was well aware that without aid, he would perish.
At the last moment, God gave him the last of his own, pure power. It was invigorating; the saint felt as if he was going to burst with Heavenly fire at that very moment. He did not have the opportunity to kill or capture Helel though, as the other angel had fled the premises with those who remained loyal to him. Although, did he truly escape? Did Michael put all of his effort into chasing the older angel? His slowness may have been influenced by pity, remorse, brotherly love ... no. He would not accept such cruelty against his Lord; he had tried, but failed. That was the end to it all. After the battle, he found his aides and comforted them both. 'What happened here could not have possibly be foreseen. Do not blame yourselves for what occurred here - there is only one who could be accused of this treachery, and he knows who he is.'
Since then, Michael has been working hard to become Lucifer's equal - or, hopefully, superior in terms of skill and power. His wings have grown black with the blood of the fallen and the demons that Helel, now called 'Lucifer', keep under his control. He will destroy Lucifer ... and if he does not have that opportunity, then he shall weaken the traitor so that Zadkiel and Jophiel may.
Weapons:
A black greatsword and, very rarely, a shield.
