Yeah my favorite race are these Yak people from one of the 2nd edition monster manuals. I dunno why they are just so cool and ornate.

If I had to choose a standard race it would be the second edition Gnomes. My favorite class is the bard.

i really like to play an anthropomorphic feline, or a vampire, their always fun. i like to be barbarrians because there tough but i also love druids and rogue, sometimes it just fun to try to sneak around or to talk to animals, cuz ya know animals can have some pretty useful information sometimes.
