Awrgh, so nice to see those unendingly beautiful ladies dropped off, CONGRAAAATS, YOU GUYS! Craw, Light the Night is just ah killer in every way, her pulling gold and blue markings over that deep pelt, that burst of spun gold hair...exquisite! ;A; And Daybreaker is just the cutest thing, with the paler yellow over brighter blue, and her hair fading to that lovely cream! And oh, Skyfall (I see what you did thar Min) is so beautiful, all blue drifts over white, that darker mane, the glowing gold from her feathers and eyes!
Ah, LURAL, I just saw your gorgeous Lost Heart breeding! Ggggkkkk what an evocative name for such an evocative clutch - the buck is so elegant, with such beautiful colours, and the tiger doe, what a striking beauty with perfect striping - and that stunning eye! But, haha, as so many have mentioned, the pale doe is heart-breaking, I'm mad-cray about these pale creamy colours and the combination of that with stripes... *cries* And her fluffy hooves, and that beautifully deep eye! SO MUCH CONGRATS, they are just such a beautiful clutch!
These breedings reminded me I have to drop off this wall-of-text I had almost finished for a bit but postphoned for chickens. emotion_awesome But the sentiment is no less RABID. HEARTBEARER CLUTCH. SLEIGHT. Imma gonna cut my feels, but I just want you guys to know that this...is technically Ruri and Maxx's birthday present to each other, with their birthdays pretty close together. Yes, yes, that's so ridiculously cute and sweet and clever and economical - but the really important bit is that...their birthdays were in May. Where on earth did they find the inhuman patience to wait half a year for these babies? THEM BE CRAZY KIDS.
And so here is the story of how Maxx and Ruri thwarted Jun's steely resolve to abstain from Kin in October which is the least important part of the story and actually there isn't really a story at all, just a truckload of feels:
I was really excited for this breeding because I was in fact the one who'd gibbered at Maxx, almost right after he got Phlox, to "throw her at Bring it On! Card suite bbys!!!" And BAM. I just. Wow. I've been staring at them for weeks now and I'm still in complete awe. The first time I saw them I was struck speechless as a strange, mad glee bubbled up in me: HOW AWESOME are these markings?! In these colours?! Just - aaaaaawwwwwrggghhhh BLUE'S GOD-TIER COLOURIST MAGIC STRIKES AGAIN. I knew Ruri was hoping for a scarlet lady to call Queen of Hearts - and once we saw her, we knew she must be it?! That striking pelt with the breathtaking blue carved out from under - that mark on her flamnk, the inverted heart over the diamond for a spade! *...I CANNOT...TOO AWESOME* Oh, Ruribby, I'm SO. DARN. HAPPY you have your Queen - and she is just the coolest darn thing and I am so in awe of her! And AH once I saw Trump Guard, I also thought 'that boy is so Ruri!!!' - that mesmerising rose to gorgeous blue - and the bold chocolate markings branded over. ARGH. SO. COOL. His forelimbs - killing me. I just, argh, the ways that blue put the hearts and diamonds together just murder me. QAQ And, oh Poke Her, what a beautiful girl - Maxx really struggled over whether or not to keep her, her colours - that perfect green on creamy blue, and that brilliant red! - and markings - oh, the perfect diamonds, those little hearts! ;A; - are so gorgeous! But it was very much DESTINY that it would be you, Lolli, she was yours yours yours from the start! XD <3 And, aaargh, the twins. ;A; Ok, I'm an obvious sucker, and I was lost from the start: Sleight is everything I adore to bits, that hue-shifty creamy blue, that rose, that green. They are mad-rabid triggers for me - and Smile's adorable perfect neat little bob! QAQ That bold diamond over her eye! The dot-enclosed hearts! The heart-cut tail! Those garters and stockings that sliiiide onto them so perfectly!
...So I was like really quiet 'cos it's their birthday breedanz and I'd been telling Maxx all October I wuz trying to Kin-abstain. And Maxx just went on like "So we're keeping the twins and I'm taking the buck of course, and -" and I doth protesting like MAXX YOU KNOW I SAID
while simultaneously undermining my diva fit by clinging to the screen, and he just looked at me pityingly like unto a particularly slow child, and said, "they should hang around together, we'll need matchy names, so you figure something out and -"
