Fafnir the Dragon suddenly black & white?

It used to be that equipping the actual dragon pose on Fafnir the Dragon showed the big guy in his usual purple-and-blue glory, and that was really cool and all. In fact, this was still true at least a day or two ago. But now, suddenly, when I equip him-- he's completely devoid of color. He's just black and white and gray and gross.

What's going on, and how do I fix this?
