welcoming fairy

i made this account at the start of the year, and
tbh the welcoming fairy is kind of annoying.
most of the time, i get one pm from her a day,
and occasionally, it would skip two days until
finally sending me three messages in the day
following.

and aside from that issue, there is this one:

all i'm trying to say is that there should be an opt
out button for returning members, and to not give
people the false hope of playing zomg.

At first it seemed to be sporadic bursts here and there, but now it seems the Welcoming Fairy has been on a drunken bender, dispensing information nobody ever really needed. Who can say Navi is annoying after getting an earful of this skirt every day, eh?

Not only that the 3000 gold she gives is pretty much 1/64th of a drop in a bucket.

Yeah, the Welcoming Fairy is getting really old really fast. I've been on Gaia for years, I don't need a friggin' NPC telling me how to do things that I figured out how to do years ago, and to tell me every single day. Yeesh.

Though I did find today's message rather funny, a message saying "today, we're going to play Gaia's very own MMORPG, zOMG!" lol

This is exactly the one I was going to come here and mention!

The reason Im even seeing the welcoming fairy is due to a glitch since Ive been on Gaia for almost 7 years, but Ive just been letting the messages come in without paying much attention to them or even opening most of them.

This is poor quality control, so I think whilst the welcoming fairy is a great idea, it needs updating and a little work dedicated to fixing the feature!
