I've gotten this PM from someone named CinnamonToast or something like that. It was an undressed avatar, leading me to believe someone just created it simply for advertising their site. I've already reported my PM, let's hope these messages stop.

I think that too warrior. I'll admit I've been to the site but mostly I'm just looking at how they do what they do so I can understand how to constructively b***h more effectively.

We're put at risk constantly on this website. Recently people have been getting redirects and viruses from the Gaia main site itself, most likely via exploits in internet explorer which CAN NOT be uninstalled on windows machines. Blocking those exploits with third party programs helps, but Gaia needs to fix this. I don't go to websites that bombard me with viruses and s**t. It's bad enough that it happens essentially EVERYWHERE besides the casinos and zomg. They're sitting by and doing nothing- even if they did take towns down they wouldnt take the sponsor worlds or cinemas down since Gaia seems to like doing things halfway and the fact is the problem is more than just towns.

Gaia, if you can't keep us safe, and you cant make your users feel cared for- WHY should ANYONE pay you? Things are broken beyond any justification- scripting has been going on for a WHILE and it has been allowed to get out of hand.

Towns is SO out of date that when someone ghosts their username- THE REPORTING SYSTEM IN TOWNS CANT EVEN SEE PAST IT. Unless they changed that, but I dont believe they did.

You knew and you allowed it. Now things are overwhelming for you. But that's no excuse. People have to take responsibility for their mistakes and their oversights, companies are no exception to that rule.

Yes, I've been getting a number of those pms per day, also links to 'gaia coupons' scam sites and youtube videos of gaia gold generators. Some of the avis were dressed though noobishly..

But, I dont see why a site that size would just focus on a few people. They do a lot besides scripting so it wouldnt be a loss to them to lose towns. My theory is much more sinister and far fetched and nobody will believe it. It makes sense though.

Read the privacy policy... Gaia uses tracking cookies and can, among other things, tell where you go just before and just after visiting Gaia. My theory is that, since only people I know from SF who are very outspoken are getting these messages, that somebody wants us gone. Theoretically visiting those websites is enough to be banned.

The scam links... sure. Those might be from ***. I guarantee there are people there who'd like all my s**t. But the constant links.. and banners... and pms... all in hopes I'll just visit once?...

Just addressing the misuse of the word here, Gaia misuses lots of words-
In Gaia language, 'hacking' means any kind of unauthorized entry to someone's account.
Gaia refers to the packet editors as scriptors, so I shall as well. It's also easier than typing out 'packet editing script babies' every time I refer to them.

I realize that. I still type scriptors, but I typed it just to point it out.

Oh no, the site itself is fine, no viruses no cookie grabbers, nothing- But its a Gaia hack site. Of course, I wont reply to them. I think that's not allowed? There are other Gaia hack sites I know of too, including one that takes money in exchange for going into the guts of Gaia to unban accounts. I don't have any clue if it works or not- If it does of course nobody under Gaia's wing would admit it. But word on that site is that it does work. I know some people use both sites in tandem- one 03 user who was on the hacking site, hacked and scripted a lot and got banned, but keeps coming back one way or another. As well, what about Cake-kun? People say the scriptor cake-kun looks like the avatar cake-kun, he must have been banned already at least once yet he's still active.

I dont think he's the leader. There honestly isnt a leader. Cake-kun however is the name that floats around on the harshest scripts- his script redirects you and claims it is hacking your pc. People have reported getting trojans or having their gaia account taken after encountering it, its considered the worst script probably up next to redirects that take you to porn or virus sites.

He's a user but lots of scriptors use his name since his is the one that was originally put on the script and they're too stupid to change it. As a user, I dont think he's the leader of anything.

This is how it works:

Someone comes up with a hack, phishing page, script, or enhancement/list for their password cracking program.
They decide to share it, so they post it with instructions on how to use it on any number of gaia hack sites.
Other people take it and use it.

So the original script may have been Cake-kun's work, or someone who goes by that name, but lots of others use it. There is also no leader of scriptors, they're all very prideful and think they're better than other people, so they would never let someone lead them.
