Super duper stoaked about this. I have been waiting for this for years. As a person with thousands of items to manage, this is the single most important update I have been waiting on.
That being said, this looks like it will be easier to use than what we currently have. Is there any possibility of being able to arrange inventory items from within the avatar dressup window? While arranging things in the available tabs in the main inventory is fine, it would be even better if we could organize things in the window where we can click to see what they all are, and arrange them right where we put them on.
Also I see in the screen shot that storage has a capacity of 600. NO BUENO. Do not want. Please do not do this, this is bad. That would be awful. There is nothing good about limited capacity, ever, for any reason. Pls no. Gaia no, pls. Pls.
-Will there be a feature to be able to spend gold to expand storage capacity? Or are these just mock numbers?
-What will happen to the items in our current storage, especially if there are over 600 of them?
-No, at least not at release. The numbers are real and are in place for speed and optimization reasons. - Nothing, they will still be there, you just won't be able to add more items to your storage.
This is a bunch of crap. That means those of us who have more than 600 items in our storage have no way to move our items around from page to page. As you can see from this thread, and probably throughout gaia if you polled the userbase, people have WAAAAY more than 600 items in storage. I can't even think of a reason why you guys would think 600 would be even close to adequate, where did this decision come from?
"Want something moved from page 50 to page 1? No problem, drag it to your storage, change the page then drag the item from your storage to where you want it!"
You really should update the OP to be more clear about this, because for anyone who already has a packed storage this is not true and it is a very misleading statement. Before I read through the thread, I had thought maybe that 600 was not a number meant to go live, but now that you say this is actually how it is meant to be this seems more like a downgrade than an upgrade.

I bet you'll have to buy GC for more storage room. I see that being implemented with this. ninja

I'll spend GC on plenty of things, but I am not sure I would spend GC on that if only for the fact that I would not want to cave in to being jipped so harshly out of a feature ( lots of storage space ) that I have come to rely on for so long now.

I just think the inventory should at least be one of the free things on the site. I mean it's to hold your stuff. But I guess that's why they would implement that. People need the space, but I think it would backfire and people would leave.

Well, until they say any official word on whether or not you will have to pay for it, I'm not going to stress about it happening. I'm just going to wait and see how this unfolds, but so far it isn't the inventory update I had hoped for if we are going to have such limited space.

I'd assume you organize what you have in your storage first before attempting to add to it. As someone with 18k+ items, I'm no fan of it either but after having put up with the old one for so long I think I can deal with it.
I would also like this, if possible! I think having custom tabs (even if there's a limit on the number we can make) would be really useful, especially for people like me who collect things and may find it easier to have the collections separated from the rest of the inventory. 3nodding
Gaia/Narumi/thecodingpeople DON'T STACK MULTIPLE ITEMS PLZ what if I want to see the same items next to each other instead of being STACKed NO GAIA BAD GAIA DON'T DO IT if you stack same items together how will I move the duplicate next to the other one how will I ARRANGE THIS!?!?!?
by the way, don't know if you guys know about this,
but there's a bunch of inventory-arranger threads out there,
there's a really old one, last written in 2013, but with a bunch of good and great suggestions-
you guys knows about this? forgot about it? ever seen it before?
