                  Malachi listened Siverina eventhough in his mind he was questioning why he was. Surprisingly it was making him feel slightly uncomfortable, maybe it because he could never truly understand Siverina's position. Or maybe because he was just like it before especially with those who reminded him of Ana. Yes, its hard to let go because you'll always be remind of the good times and happiness you felt but it hurts like hell even more because you can't have that again.

                  However if Siverina put in half the emotion effort into people who reminded her of her past, into someone else who could give her a new lease of life and new experience then she could be better off.

                  Malachi remained silent, not wanting to interrupt the woman from speaking her mind. Whilst he remained in silence, his eyes wondering over to a glimpse of movement in the corner of his eye, to find Ayano and Michiko. He didn't noticed them at first when coming up on the rooftop and judging by their body movements it was probably a good idea that he didn't interrupt them either.

                  Malachi's attention was brought back to Siverina as he stifled a chuckle, the remark of having wingman for the escort was amusing but he could hear the desperation in her voice."Yeah.. You sure do.." He agreed despite it being a joke. "You should never with be someone because they remind you of lovers gone by because at their core they are not and in turn hurts you and them. Your Ophelia is gone, where ever she maybe, she isn't here. If she remembers you highly as you speak of her then she wouldn't want you to feel like this and neither would she want you to sully the memory of her with someone who has the likeness of her. And Eiji.... he has made his bed, him let lay in it. No good comes from physical relationship, everyone gets hurt" Malachi said sounding a tad venomous with his words then he'd like to be in regards to Eiji but whilst Malachi was no saint himself, he vehemently disagreed with what he was doing with the two girls

                  "Its time to find someone new Siverina, time to move on. I did it.. just about so you can too... and you're stronger than I'll ever be"

                  ~~~
                  Luciana listened to the woman speak about her past educational background and of a.. what she could tell of a really dark experience. Although she was most curious over what a seal skin was or meant but judging look of grief was came onto the lady's face, it was best not to question it.
                  She continued to listen to Su-yeong as she went to the subject of her father's probable line of thinking. As she listened, she was starting to have some doubts with Su-yeong's words. Luciana only had one friend of schooling age and that was Michiko, she couldn't even fathom the idea of being friends with the one dubbed 'Nimble'. She was far too loud and off putting. "You think so..?" She said in a hopeful tone. The upbeat tone of encouragement was certainly putting some confidence back into the child however the sense of doubt was over shadowing it.
                  A smile started to appeared on the child's face as Su-yeong offering to help the child unwind before talking with her father. "Will you help me talk to him?" Luciana asked. It was more of a failsafe for the little girl if she were to clam up and fall silent as she sometimes does under-pressure. The upbeat tone was making abit excited as Luciana bounced and fidgeted on her bed, nodded happily at the suggestion of fun. "Uh huh.. What are we going to do for fun?" She chirped softly, her concerns were slowly being buried for now.
He laughed as she continued to tell him about her adventure upstairs and the little pharaoh and enjoyed how it made her smile. He ate the curry slowly as he wasn't exactly hungry and was ok with sitting there listening to her.
He noticed the little demon decided to hide under their bed and was purring quite a bit. For such a small creature she sure knew how to make as much noise as she possibly could."Damn little cat...always finding ways to annoy me.." He said under his breath so that Violet wouldn't hear him.
Violet showed some signs of stomach pain and merely joked it off. It seemed she was trying to play it off and he let her. Reading her was easier than he let off and it was something he could do with many humans. "I hope so otherwise someone is going to be losing their soul if that's the case"
He chose to ignore her obvious attempts at hiding her pain but he would be the first to raise hell if something wrong were to happen to her...
The sea, once it casts its spell...
Luciana seemed to still have some doubts however Su-yeong would respond to them with a positivity, "I know so. Everything will turn out just fine in the end for you Luciana." Seeing Luciana smile brought great joy to the selkie, feeling as if she accomplished something. It was heartwarming and she couldn't help but also smile a bit at the sight.
What surprised her was the child's second question, she felt a little surprised. "Of course I'll be there to help you! If you ever need help with anything or need to talk again, I'll always be willing." With that she stood up and clapped her hands together when she was back to full height, excited to be able to cheer the girl up, at least for a while. "Okay! First of all let's teach you how to get those feet of yours all prettied up for school tomorrow! If you don't mind everything we need is in my room downstairs so we can just head down there." She gestured for Luciana to follow her as she left the room.
Su-yeong walked at a reasonable and easy to keep up with pace, not wanting to walk too fast for her. Leading the way from the room, she made her way to the basement, down to her own room. Opening the door it revealed her very custom room. A good deal of it was mostly water, this was a comfort to the selkie. It allowed her to swim whenever she wished, which was an activity she enjoyed even in her human form. However to maintain her human forms needs from the door the floor extended into a pathway to a platform in the middle of the room. where her bed and belongings were kept. "Pretty neat, isn't it?" Su-yeong commented to Luciana, propping the door opened with a door stopper before she continued to the platform. Once there she pulled a storage container out from under her bed, opening it to reveal a large variety of nail polish and other nail care/decorating tools. Admittedly it was an activity she highly enjoyed, as did her daughter, there was many a day the two enjoyed an at home spa day the two of them. Over time she had gotten quite skilled at the art of it all. Now she planned on sharing that with Luciana, in hopes it would cheer her up.
Gesturing to the nail polishes she spoke up "You can pick any colour you like and I can do your toes up all pretty. That way you can have the prettiest feet in the whole school, but you won't be able to get in trouble for it." There was almost any colour imaginable to choose from, which might have been somewhat overwhelming but she was a very patient woman. She imagined one of the pink ones might attract Luciana's attention, as she had mentioned it was pink shoes that had started the argument, though she could always end up choosing a different colour so she just waited to see.
                  Atticus simply smiled at Nana's feedback. Atleast he was seemingly on the mark with the painting. He shrugged off her thankful remark about him having better to do, even if it was true. "Anything I do is to either to help you or benefit you" Atticus said softly as he looked around the room.
                  The thought of her twin sisters came to mind as he was reminded that they would be living this room for the rest of the school year. It'll be a nightmare for him, he couldn't possibly say whats on his mind now or even consider putting the moves on her as the urge to kiss her started to well, it would jeopardize Nana's disguise what if her appearance changed in the presence of her siblings but the urge was enticing. Perhaps too enticing as the urge to just finally kiss the girl became too great.
                  He gave in, the motion was quick as Atticus wrapped his arm around Nana, pulling her to him before pressing his lips gently and passionately against her own. There was a feeling of triumph as he kissed her. The kiss only lasted a moment before Atticus pulled himself away from her, with sheepish smirk on his face.
                  "Always wanted to do that.. and forget about practice today, you should help Yu and Ai settle in" Atticus said as the smirk turned into a warm smile. It was then Atticus turned to the open window that was ventilating the paint fumes, he feeling that the twins had arrived before glancing down at his watch. "I think they might be here already... why don't you go find them and I'll tidy up in here" Atticus said to Nana as he begun to do just that.
Hotaka listened to the story, letting his eyes close to the gentle vocals of Arun tell his journey to the flats, storms and meeting people. Hotaka took his tiny, ridiculous ukulele and somehow created a sound that matched the story, plucking and fingering the cords to match the tone of the story. The music blended with the much older voice of Arun, creating an atmosphere that took any who listened to a new land.
At the end of the story, Hotaka finished his strumming with a flair of the hand, opening his eyes with a grin. “Woah dude, that is intense,” He commented, holding a hand out to the man for a handshake. “Thank you for that, much more than what I was expecting but I’m feeling-“ Hotaka took his hand back to run both hand through his hair, trying to find the words to express. “Don’t think this is weird, but I think I might have to worship you and like scribe your stuff down man,” He said, laughing at the absurdity and absolute conviction he had in his words.
Sprinkles seem to understand two things right now. Someone was talking about her and someone was sick- that someone was mommy. The little cat crawled out from underneath the bed, bellowing in meows as she danced over to Violet, pushing those little cheeks up against her legs. Those loud purrs couldn't triumph over the witches stomach, now making gurgling noises.
Violet placed the bowl beside her on the desk, placing the palm over her stomach and the other her mouth. She basically kicked Sprinkles in a hurry to reach the bathroom, shutting the door so violently it could have fallen off its hinges. The proof was the sound of leftover curry hitting the toilet was said she was sick. There was no way of hiding it now. Violet's knees held her up on the floor as she held the toilet bowl for dear life.
"Get!.... Get Kane!"
She breathed out before vomiting again. Violet heard he was one of the doctors in the house, couldn't for the life of her remember the other guys name. Something was wrong and she needed to see her book.
'Did... Did I do the spell wrong?'
She swore upon reading about this spell she should be healthy for the rest of her life. Though that was an understatement, considering the spell was keeping her alive forever. The thought of it seem to make the wedding ring sparkle, reminding the young woman her soul was right there rooting for her. Sprinkles was on the other side of the door, pawing at it to try and get in.
Enki pouted slightly, watching Malachi leave quickly. But she couldn’t hold the small frown for long as Yasu spoke, declaring his non-intention to chase Malachi off. She shrugged with a slight smile, unable to really fault Yasu for his actions. She understood that he was trying to do what he thought was best- it was just unfortunate that it involved interrupting some time.
He then launched into the humans he was working with, complaining about pay and how she was lucky to not have to deal with humans. Enki shivered with the thought of actually having to work with them herself. She made jewelry and sold them online, never having to interact with people. Even now, with all these new people, shes kept to the shadows and the water, coming out rarely out of fear and shyness to these new people.
“Humans…” She said with a slight shiver, frowning. How Yasu could work with them voluntarily, she was not sure. Lifting herself onto the same level as Yasu, Enki moved an arm around his back and gave him a small squeeze of a hug before releasing. “I’m not sure how you do it. Especially with how these ones treat you.”
Not knowing what else to say on the subject of his job, Enki asked the question many of the older residents had been asking each other, “H-have you spoken to any of these new people? I know that many are moving in down here. Perhaps there are others like us?” She asked in a hopeful tone, her hands twisting nervously. Maybe Yasu had spoken to the new water dweller person?
Basically conveying that she was ok with death coming for her, she had given up. Being shaken didn't do much either, but the innocent suggestion of being resuscitated had her squealing and wriggling away from the possible lip assailant, her blue eyes bolting open. "Ewww, no, that's gross!" The sight of the dark haired boy wearing an interesting looking hat gave her pause, making her tilt her head in curiosity as she searched her brain for the memory of having seen him before.
Her jaw dropped when he spoke of blowing her up. "Death ray?? What is that?" she asked, skootching closer to the boy, eyes sparkling with interest. As he pointed out that he recognized her, she nodded in affirmation, giving him a bright, wide smile. "Yeah, I'm Willomena, but you can just call me Willow, everyone does. It's nice to meet you, Curiosity! And it doesn't look it, but it's SOOOOO heavy, it's like trying to carry a building around!" She rambled a bit, sitting up on her knees as she watched him go over to the sapling....and then lift it up, WITH ONE HAND, like it was nothing. Willow was boggled.
"How did you do that??" she demanded, both impressed and somewhat jealous, as he offered her a lollipop. She paused immediately at seeing the offered odd thing, blinking at it blankly. "THAT thing is candy?" she asked, intrigued, finally pushing herself up and flouncing over to him to study it. "What does it taste like? We never got a lot of sweets back home and they never looked like this." Then she smiled at him again, grabbing his hand with both of hers excitedly. "And if you're giving one to me, does that mean that we're special friends now? Just like that?"
I walked through fire to save my life
            Higashikuni remained silent, eyes analyzing his moves with the practice of a chess player, keeping her thoughts locked within her mind and not flooding through like other females had been known to do. ‘Ever generous humanitarian group’. There was a sort of poison in his voice when he said it- when he spoke at all. As Eiji recounted how the group came to the home- this very building- for a tour, Higashikuni nearly lit her anger.
            He had let the enemy into his house- with everyone here at that. They were here for a mission, and he allowed them to just waltz in. How much of an idiot had she now placed herself with (under the supreme pushing of her underlings)?
            The invitation was ornate, though he must smell the trap weaved heavily into it. Him and six others? This in no way was a safe thing to attend, and there was no way she would allow any of her own people to attend. He couldn’t be seriously thinking about going.
            His gentle smile was a mask, Higashikuni could see now, her eyes narrowing at his words- a threat, followed by a gentle question as to what her concern was with the organization. “And with such kind smile and dark words, some might wonder as to what you speak of. The destruction of the organization, to leave the spark of memory dim? Or is it the death of those who oppose? Dead men tell no tales, dead men cannot speak of the horrors that organizations like the Rokkaku strive to conceal,” She asked, keeping her hands at her sides to show just how relaxed she was.
            What exactly do you think to do, Nagano-san?” She asked simply, not feeling in favor of telling him who she was. Not until she even could consider trusting him. For now, she wanted to be the fierce observer.
                                  Eiji stood tall with his hands behind his back as he looked down at Higa looking at him with just as much of a calm attitude as he did. Impressive, few people were really capable of looking back at the Kirin. It made Eiji think, she was proving herself in just a few moments that she arrived, while he required to know those that came into the home, she left little to work with. He listened to her, analyzing what he said to possibly get an answer? No, she wasn’t that naive to assume. He smiled at her again, this time with genuine admiration of being capable of asking questions, the right questions.
                                  Her next question set him up to determine where this went. What exactly did he plan to do? He looked away for a moment then back to her as he held a hand out as if he was holding the answer in his hand. “Opportunity my dear.” He said honestly. He looked back to her and took a deep breath. “I want to give an opportunity for those who were never able to have one before. For too long our kind has never been allowed to thrive, for fear that we would ruin the world that man had conquered for themselves. Like those of Rokkaku, who believe that their hold on this district is unchallenged, they would rob a family of a parent, a child, or a sibling. They’d destroy the love between others. They would take our very identity. Children, stepping on ants thinking they are tall and big. I’ve seen men do this for so long; I had accepted it as nature, that it must be allowed to happen, no more... this time true leaders will arise to take the mantle worthy of leading those to a balanced peace.” Eiji looked to the door as he looked to Higa.
                                  I know when I see those willing to bow down to fear, you can see it in one’s eyes.” Eiji did not take his away from Higas, a deep stare he once gave to Nicholas, one that made Eiji know of the Reapers fate, now reflected on the young woman.
                                  I see when the eyes of a leader meet my own… I see when they meet beyond the flesh…When one is ready to take opportunity in their own hand. “ Eiji walked closer to Higa, each step slowly taken to not imply she was in danger but instead Eiji stared down at the woman as he held the invitation to her. “ I had thought previously that I have found those who met my own gaze, but they were weak, unable to see the vision of a future that they would build by their own will. A future whose victors chose the outcomes of this district. They failed to believe, in themselves, in others. But I don’t see that fear in you my dear…” Eiji looked down at the invitation.
                                  Perhaps you are ready to begin that which they were incapable of accomplishing. To begin what they failed to do. At journeys end…it’ll be you at the top of the mountain with those worthy enough to be there.” He took Higa’s hand and let her take the invitation. “Tonight…on the roof, there is much to discuss, if it pleases you.”Eiji gave her the smile again as he bowed his head.
                                  Dinner will be in a few hours. With your leave my dear.” He turned around as he closed the door to her room and quietly made his way back upstairs, entering the kitchen; the cookies he baked were readily cooled, which he placed on a large platter decorated delicately as he placed them in the center of the living room, for those that resided there. Taking to a pot of tea, Eiji sat in one of the easy chairs crossing his legs as he thought of the night, his phone in his hand as he smiled reading Szallah's message she sent, periodically sipping his tea as he looked over many other things that required his attention.
"...I'm waiting, mortals."
Arun
A grimace was Arun's response as he stretched out his legs. "Keep your worship for someone more worthy of it. Perhaps one with breasts and the patience enough to let you hold them..", he stated blandly. He'd been a god once. The headaches the position had caused him were astronomical, not to mention the annoying habit of villagers trying to hand over their sickly cattle to him. No, he'd much rather be Arun the snake man who occasionally helped with troubling storms for payment than Arun the God who had to gently explain why a bull that was foaming at the mouth really wasn't a necessary offering.
Despite his disdain, the Naga wrapped his hand around the boy's when it was offered and shook it. "You're rather talented at the instrument, by the way. Do you perform for a living?" Curiosity on just what had landed this interesting human a place among creatures of lore and nightmares drove him. "Or perhaps you're just a student. You're a bit young to be out of the nest yet, hatchling."
Siverina Camille
Listening and understanding
Malachi was right. Siverina had been chasing ghosts ever since she came to Japan. Her Ophelia was gone. Life needed to move on. One would think that all the crazy supernatural things that occurred in the last five years would be the cure for her attachment to the past. Siverina didn't know she was holding on that tightly. Yet again, it was the only time in her life she truly felt euphoric. She needed to believe that it wouldn't be the last time. Malachi did. And as he said, if he could - she could.
Tears clouded her eyes but she smiled and looked to Malachi anyway. "Thank-you Malachi. You would know this feeling better than most. I need to move on."
Siverina took out the rumpled flyer from her coat pocket again and considered it seriously. "Before I go get myself a cup of tea, I need to ask you a favor. One you might not like." Siverina chewed her lip before glancing at Malachi. "I need to salvage the friendship I have with Eiji. The physical aspect of it... I can live without, but the closeness, the parts of our relationship that were more like a sibling's, I need it back. Szallah might make that difficult." The woman gave Malachi the flyer. "Eiji's invited me to an important event. A festival... the one I first met him at. Just the two of us to try and smooth things over between us." Her eyes locked with his, searching the vampire's face for any emotion that might make her reconsider her plan.
"When that happens... can you tell Szallah?"
