okay darling, that sounds great~
though, I think that it could be more interesting if we didn't start there?
like, maybe they meet before she actually knows him as a police officer.
we could even start after they've seen each other a few times, at a low profile
bar that's almost like a speak easy. Perhaps the bar could be of a neutral thing,
a secret among a select few such as gangsters and people who have ties
in high places. Though I haven't worked out the back story for him 100%, I'm
assuming that it'll be an undercover type thing, where a friend of a friend got him in there.
as far as the bar goes, I'm assuming everything surface level would be destroyed or
overrun by random people who just wanted to loot places.
so this place could be sacred and secured.
Maybe there are private rooms and she had even taken him back there
to dance with? I'm assuming that since this world is so crazy that one person
prostituting isn't a huge blip on the radar, but if it's a whole operation it could be.
though, if you don't like that idea, i'm sure we could come up with another!
I think that having him come in and bust them this early would destroy chances
for us to get a back story going and for us to really work up the feels for these
characters.

i really like the idea of that! i think that would be way more interesting
than jumping right in. i can see my character as an inside girl for him
almost. maybe he initially befriends her because he knows she has
information about what is really going on. I can see her probably having
a boyfriend or something similar in a gang or mafia that he's trying to
get the beef on.

i like the idea of a vintage version, but not so keen on the
whole waitress/patron thing. too many creepy encounters
with customers myself and it's just... no. haha. i don't enjoy
being hit on at my place of work. i dunno. that's probably
really strange but i'm just not super comfortable with it so i
don't think i'd be comfortable writing a guy who does that.
i know that makes no sense at all. but yeah.

we don't have to do a vintage / era based one if you think it
works better modernised, either. just thought it could be a cool
spin.
