I got an answer for both. Corporate ******** America.... atleast the mainstream anyway. As far as cats doing their own thing, starting their own labels and business... they are predominantly black people. HOWEVER, most of those people whom do start their own businesses, are usually subsidaries of much larger companies, who are in turn controlled by corporate America. Only a small percentage of those whom start their business from nothing, are those who actually control their own portion of the hiphop community.
