...And in her self-loathing and despair...

_____________________________________________________

Her pale, delicate hands folded to rest in her lap as she leaned back slightly, a look of concern written on her youthful face. Calystane's bright eyes, troubled and half lidded, watched the pained expression on a young man as he laid himself back down after she'd instructed him to sit up for his examination. It was just two weeks ago he had come to her for help after he displayed symptoms of an illness, and in such a short time, he had rapidly declined. Without any equipment, it was hard for Calystane to even fathom a diagnosis for the young man. If she were to assume anything, it would be a form of some kind of accelerated cancer, but without knowing anything definite, she kept her thoughts to herself. She was no doctor nor did she have any formal training, but she was the closest thing the Rebellion had to someone with that kind of knowledge. With a soft voice that hid her concern, Calystane began to speak while she rummaged through her bag. "Along with the feverfew I gave you last week, I want you to take some of this blood root. It is very hard for me to find so please use it sparingly." Pulling out a mass wrapped in cloth, she sighed inwardly. She was running low on supplies already. It felt like just yesterday she'd gone hunting for herbs and come up with poor luck. "I will give it to your wife on my way out." After closing her bag and standing, Calystane offered an optimistic smile. "I will be by after a few days to check on you, Darius." With the progression he'd made in a couple of weeks being negative, the Siren couldn't help but feel a bit helpless.

After leaving the tent, the sound of tapping on a microphone followed by William's voice caught her attention. Stopping in her tracks, Calystane frowned as she turned her gaze downwards to the hard ground underneath her. He sounded so worn, and yet, there was nothing she could do to help him. With his brother still eating away at his thoughts, the best Calystane could do for him was be there. She'd tried cheering him up many times only to no avail. Now, this. It was never ending with ARCO. As William's voice silenced for a short moment, she took the opportunity to return to her previous objective. After dropping her belongings off at her tent, she couldn't help but smile to herself. After he'd resumed his speech, Calystane silently praised William. Now, that sounded more like the man she'd found herself fond of.

Once at the meeting grounds, the Siren stood a bit away from the others, not wanting to make them uncomfortable by standing too close. She'd always stuck out like a sore thumb in a group of Rebels. After all, she almost resembled a porcelain doll with her slight frame accompanied by her moonlight pale skin, black dresses, and well-kept hair. For the most part, she'd proven herself worthy when she'd contributed to William's safe return, but there were many who still did not trust her. She honestly didn't blame them nor did she hold anything against them for it.

xxxx*LOCATION 。◞ Underground Base of Staten Island: Meeting Site ⋙ Leader's Tent xxxx *COMPANY。◞ Aeryn, Samantha, William, Dion

No further words left Aeryn's lips--in fact she was already walking away when he glanced at her. In return, James smiled sheepishly. He knew of her misanthropic outlook on life and her high status above the soldiers, so it was in no way wrong of her to leave without a sound. Her and the other lieutenants seemingly disappeared when there was an operation going on, anyway. Guess I can finally see the disappearing act in person, he thought to humor himself.

James eventually remembered his dull sword and saw a potentially fit time to sharpen it. The brunette skimmed over the crowd of soldiers, and noticed barely anyone moved from their current positions. He should have enough room to sit down and do it here. Reaching around his shoulder, the boy reached for his blade before someone approached him and Aeryn.

James immediately lowered his arm and lifted his head to look at the person politely. It was a girl, his implant told him the obvious, twenty-one years-old and five-feet, six inches tall. As his eyes stayed on her, the gears in his memory began to spin. Has he seen this girl before? Perhaps around town or during previous missions, he assumed. His implant eventually flashed her name as Samantha Caron. So, he had seen her before. This implant could do almost anything...

When she got close enough Samantha saluted Aeryn respectfully, which made him feel silly for not doing the same earlier. He hoped Aeryn didn't mind him being so casual with her. “Lieutenant Frost, – and Wilhelm, right?” she added a questioning tone to the end of her sentence to confirm his name. He nodded to reassure her that she was right. Seconds later, she smirked and asked more confidently, “You guys ready to go blast those bitches and their tanks to kingdom come?”

James chuckled awkwardly, unable to think of a witty response. "I think you look the most ready between us," he eventually replied, noticing her thick armor. James turned to Aeryn to see if she made her Irish goodbye, but noticed that the redhead beckoned the two to follow her. James blinked, unsure of whether he should run after her so eagerly. Having a lieutenant request his company wasn't something he was very used to. He tended to blend into the scenery and only work to get the job done.

The cyborg turned to look at Samantha with uncertainty before walking after Aeryn, keeping slow to wait for the fellow brunette behind him.

After a short trip to the tent James stopped and skimmed the area with faint interest, noticing all the important papers and most noticeably, the mess. It smelled widely of cigarette smoke and alcohol, with the candles trying to smother the unpleasant odors. From how stuffy the room was, James kept the tent opening slightly open to air-out. That's when he overheard Aeryn conversing with William.

"I don't have squad leaders, either. But these two will do. What do you need?"

Squad leader? Was she out of her mind? James grew slightly uncomfortable at the title, but swallowed hard to maintain his composure and wait for the leader's response.

Zaria Smith

And there a gift ignites; a cursive thought takes flight,
And there's a dancer, twisting in between the spines...

A booming voice sounded under foot, causing Zaria's attention to travel downwards once more. 'The rebels!' she exclaimed gleefully. They were here, she was right. She had to find one of them...Somehow beg to join them. The throbbing feeling in her leg was still there, but Zaria ignored it. She'd been too used to pain with the experimenting to try to get her voice back...not to mention how painful it had been when they'd accidentally handicapped her as a mute.

But as soon as Zaria was away from the neck of the great statue, Bhooom Bhoom Bhoom. Her attention was drawn to one of her own kind. She remembered seeing her around but couldn't place the pink haired siren's name. Just that she was a specialist. Zaria gulped to herself. The other sirens always scared her. They were so powerful. And she knew that this one was as well. But at the same time...This woman was attacking the statue. This was her chance to prove herself and protect.

With a deep breath and a silent word of 'You can do this' in her head, Zaria took off of the statue. All she could do was fly after all. She just had to throw her body weight around. And what siren expected to be attacked by one of their own? This was Zaria's official sign of defection from ACRO...Attacking the specialist siren.

In silence, Zaria sped up behind the pink haired woman as she circle. Crashing into her back with the momentum that she'd built up to send them both spiraling from the impact and veering them away from the statue a bit, yet it didn't really do much damage. Not against another siren. 'Oh great...She's not going to be happy' the brunette's inner monologue commented.

Bitter Earth

Circling the Statue, she didn't look to the skies, but the ground. The biggest and baddest sky predator would have to look behind but there it was. She felt it. A physical assault in the place she never looked, her wings snapped as her attention was pulled to the attacker the battery in her left taking the moment of counter-attack with it. Her blue void eyes stared at the other Siren, tho she did not know her name, she knew her face.. A reject.

She held no qualms to failed Sirens, a weapon is only good for a sole purpose and should not be attempted for another. Every Siren had a place but in this case her purpose was not useful with ACRO. Tho as a weapon herself, she does not pull her own trigger, allowing herself to be maneuvered by the female away from the statue. She felt the wind drag. Using her point of contact as her point of height in the sky and wind drag, she was falling at an angle which would give her just about one minute to deploy discharges to slow the fall.

Reaching into her side pouch and unlatching a second battery, she slowly piveted herself around using her bag like a wing flap. Facing the incoming water, A Energy ring discharged and in the middle even bigger wings formed. These where her battle wings, that allowed her to do combat maneuvers, but also sapped almost a quarter of the battery to discharge, but it wouldn't need even a fraction of that once it materialized, spanning out ten feet wide, With this current she could dip down and use the momentum and a discharge to get back up to near the top of the statue height.

With that in mind she had to use this wisely now that she was down to three sources, being evening, the sun would not be out soon and she had to reserve her body's resources for a retreat if need be, atleast to land near the ACRO assemblies.

As she near the ocean water she turned her wings up to catch the air. Successfully turning up, then the moment of truth, right as she began her ascent she discharged force to propel herself up.

Bhooooom.

Ꮚ ɩ ɭ ɭ ɩ ɚ ɱ ++ Ꮚ ɧ ɩ ϯ ɘ

William’s body did not move, nor did his mind stir when the two lieutenants greeted themselves. In fact, Aeryn’s snide comment completely insulted him, but he, again, did not stir. For once he was externally calm though the sight of his tent did strike concern in the souls of his acquaintances, and yet he still did not feel sorry. More so, he couldn’t care less what others thought of him so long as they knew what he had gone through, even though it was a very selfish thing to believe in.

He did not hesitate when he stated,” I will not take that sort of tone with you either, Ms. Frost,” though he completely regretted the comment soon after he said it, and he hoped the Siren would forgive him later. It was tense these days; the people needed some sign of hope and he was in no shape to give them one.

He turned around to face his company after striking timber for his cigarette,” Dion. I expect your profession in explosives will be of up-most importance in this mission. You and your company will need to use stealth and the element of surprise to circle around the back of the ACRO forces to plant your goodies upon the vehicular powers.

William moved over to the dining table and, with a wave of his hand, pushed everything off the table forcefully. Beneath the mess was an area map of the Statue of Liberty with red dots in the places he knew ACRO was gathering. He used his index finger to show the lieutenant where he needed the bombs. He then inhaled from his cigarette and turned around to walk back to his desk.

Before Dion gets to his objective, Aeryn and Wilhelm will use a group to distract the attention from the front. It also appears we have another form of distraction…"

He looked at a picture on his desk of him and Bartholomew at one of their happiest moments,” A rogue ACRO Siren is causing quite a stir, so this will be beneficial to us.

William turned around to greet his company with his crimson eyes,” is there any information we should all be aware of?

Mallory walked back into the tent as Altiema barked her orders harshly to retrieve her binoculars, which sat conveniently on top of the file cabinet. With a quick snatch of the hand she grabbed the binoculars and left the tent quickly to not miss the shooting. Mallory hopped up on one of the lower bars of the metal platform's railing to give herself leverage, then raised the binoculars up to her brown eyes. Mallory spent a few seconds searching around the statue for the girl until she eventually found her floating near the statue's head.

With a large boom, the first bullet soared towards the girl, whizzing past her shoulder into oblivion. Fright instantly spread across the girl's face as she flew to the side to evade the next two bullets. Taking a closer look at her face and neck, Mallory recognized the signature tattoo plastered on the side, and grinned playfully. "A Siren is flying around the statue," she noted to the other two women behind her. The dictator chuckled right when a fourth bullet grazed the Siren's leg, shedding a river of blood. After inspecting the wound the Siren fled behind the statue's head, staying on its shoulder for protection. At that point, she lowered her binoculars. "She hasn't screamed in fear or agony yet, so... I think I know who she might be."

Mallory took the vanilla folder that contained the battle plans and inspected the list of deployed soldiers and Sirens for today's mission. Then, she checked the Siren attendance list for the most recent day. The similarity: that particular Siren was missing from both papers.

"Oh," she mused, realizing the Siren's identity and her goal here. "The silent one. If she's flying around like that and hasn't entered ACRO within the last few days, that labels her as a traitor."

A traitor. She smirked wryly at this. It'll be easy bait for the Rebels if they're seeing this.

As a precaution, Mallory turned to look around at the area and the trees, using her binoculars again to search for any hidden soldiers or unauthorized personnel. Behind heads of confused soldiers who gawked at the Siren girl, a single active camera hid itself in the trees. Yet, on the side, the familiar white letters of ACRO were printed neatly. She specifically ordered that there would be no recordings of the destruction... it could only be the work of rebel hackers.

Mallory grunted and loaded up a rifle that sat next to her, turning her head briefly to the side to glance back at the traitor girl. As she saw her move once more, Mallory lidded her eyes and watched carefully at her actions. It was then that she noticed the other pink-haired Siren, who flew around the statue's perimeter and doing her job. With such bright pink hair, she recognized her on the spot. She knew exactly who she was.

The brunette quickly checked her aim before resuming her observation of the scene, a smug smile at the interesting turn of events. Upon seeing the traitor girl float up once more, Mallory connected the dots and knew exactly what she might be doing.

As the traitor darted for the pink Siren, Mallory aimed quickly at the camera and shot one bullet, which drilled right through the camera and shot its lenses off. After sparking and buzzing, the red light that signaled that it was on burnt out like an extinguished flame. The brunette turned her head to see the aftermath of the Siren collision, watching the two spiral briefly downwards from the momentum. Looking at the broken camera once more, Mallory knew the Rebels probably saw too much already of the silent traitor.

"General Vezirov, order your troops into defensive positions," Mallory ordered, strangely without anger. "We'll be expecting rebel troops tonight." with her gloved hands Mallory cleared away papers and set them back into their bags, in case they needed to flee. "Crest, take some soldiers and Sirens and search for any other unauthorized equipment that would be recording this. Don't mind the traitor, she's just some dead meat." after barking her orders, Mallory continued her smile and spoke into her walkie-talkie. "Tanks #2 and #4, prepare to launch missiles at the statue. #1, 3, and 5, defensive positions."

Altiema had moved to put her overcoat back on. Casually sliding the decorative top back onto her uniform, ran her hands down it so that it could smooth itself out. Altiema moved towards the ordinance box and opened it up, to receive her weapons for the search. She popped the case open and grabbed her ordinance. Her large gunblade, a signature weapon of hers for dealing with rebels from a medium to close range setting. And two Caspian model 9mm hand guns, with 42 ammunition. She loaded her weapons and primed them for use. She turned to the two women and blew them a sarcastic kiss before stepping to the exit of the tent.

"Keep the Coffee Hot sweetheart, I'll be home shortly." She replied with a smirk and left the tent, only to walk 10 feet to the nearest unit and hailed them down.

"We're going to recon the area and search for any little recording devices and cameras. It would seem we are being watched. So, We're going to give them something to watch. Understood?" She responded, looking at each one of their faces.

"Yes Ma'am, Understood." The CO responded with, priming the weapon in his hands. The unit of 5 men and women, readied their weapons and were brought up to operational status.

Altiema kept one of her pistols in her hands, incase she just so happened to cross any rebellion troops on the way to finding all of these little leaks. Altiema had made sure of her search for the cameras. But there was no way they could get all the information they needed with a shitty aimed camera pointed off somewhere and set on record. No no. Who put it there, and where are the others? Altiema had to think of specific places a rebel would want to put a camera to spot. One would be a good view of the tanks, since those were always rolling targets. They will more than likely take them out first upon starting assault. Considering there were only roughly 6 armored heavy tanks, used to destroy the Statue of liberty, and 4 smaller lighter armored tanks for cover. That only put 10 on the field for now. They would need to wait for reinforcements to deploy another few tanks. Altiema was more or less put at ease with the Infantry Fighting Vehicles painting the area to rip through troops. Equipped with 50cal. and 20mm shells. They could get the job done. That -- and good old fashion infantry vs infantry.

Altiema looked in a key location, just on the harbor looking in towards the frontal view of the tanks. Altiema moved towards the position with her team. She found out she was behind a man looking through the lenses of the camera. Altiema tilted her head and she proceeded to sneak up behind him. She poked her weapon into his back, causing him to jump.

"Oh! Uh... Hello... I--" He was cut off.
"Heh, What are you doing?" Sher responded, the camera had been recording for 5 minutes, their voices would be captured on the device.
"Just setting up the security system so we can see Rebel movements Ma'am." He responded, turning to continue setting up the camera.
"Oh good work, Ms Mallory had said no cameras, but this could be beneficial for us. Where did you set the rest of them up at?" She asked, toying with her gun silently.
"Uh-- We --- have three in total. One in the treeline, one here, and one watching out towards the rear..." He seemed nervous all of the sudden.
"Thank you." She shot him in the back and sent him into the ocean. She picked up the camera and looked to the unit, brushing her hair and getting it all pretty. She looked into the camera.

"If you guys wanted in, you could of just asked. The door is left open for you, just take a shower first." She tossed the camera into the harbor. She sent the team in the locations to search for the cameras, whether he was lying or not, the cameras will be found.

Altiema took the clip out of her weapon and looked into the clip. She slid it back inside and holstered it. Moving towards the FOB tent, the soldiers returned, they were actually where he said they were. Excellent!

"They will have our locations set up. So lets pull a change up on them. I want the IFV's pointed towards the Left side, Right side, and Behind our tanks. I want 5 units to constantly patrol a 1/2 mile perimeter from here, as to give warning if you see anyone coming out to play. You will listen to General Vezirov for further orders." She dismissed the unit and headed back into the tent. She greeted Mallory once more.

"We're in the dark Ma'am. But the camera's were running awhile. I've changed the positions of the troops, but General Vezirov can change them around if she wishes." She replied, taking a seat and sitting quite unladylike.

"You poor creatures,

Dion Alexandrov
The Rebellion's Explosive Siren

╔════════

After witnessing Aeryn's grand entrance go over like a fizzled out firecracker, Dion wasn't going to just openly attack William by suggesting that his plan might not work. "A basic strategy, one that won't work if Mallory remembers exactly how we operate, and what we're capable of. But then again, blowing things up wantenly is a common strategy of insurgents. Break the oppressor's toys, and hope they run away," Dion thought a moment, his aim to come up with a plan that doesn't end up getting them killed in the end. That wouldn't look good, if it ended up being broadcast. Sure the lot of them were poised to become martyrs, but Dion had hoped to prolong the time before that became a reality.

"William, you recall that Plan I discussed with you weeks back, concerning a situation just like this. I won't say I disobeyed a direct order, and loaded the statue with the right explosives, but since we cleared that facility out, beneath the Statue, I didn't think it'd hurt to litter the grounds around it's base, with explosives. Mallory played right into my hands. Any of us would've known she'd eventually make a move against the Statue. I propose you let me go alone up there, or at the least, I'll take someone with me, as escort. The bombs are small enough ACRO forces would never have noticed them, but they'll pack enough punch to rip those tanks to shreds. The downside is, I need to be in close proximity with at least one, to set the entire field ablaze.," Dion stated, looking straight into William's eyes, or from Dion's case, eye. He knew the sound of saving more of the rebel's lives from the firing line, could appeal to the man's sense of leadership, but there was always the chance he'd insist on changing the plan.

William's response was expected, as he was in a hardened state of mind. Whether it was more depressive or secure still remained to be seen, but Aeryn was no psychologist. Well, not a licensed one, anyway. The woman adjusted her hat and began to speak. "When you stop playing around in my head, my tone will may change." She could hear James's breathing behind her shift from the normal labored breathing of a soldier to a more nervous one, and she knew what was on his mind. She turned to look at him with eyes that spoke the word "RELAX."

She listened to the rest of what William had to say, then shifted her head so that her ear focused more on Dion's words. So his plan was to blow the ground from underneath the tanks up? Surely that would cause substantial structure damage to the Statue as well, and would those who fight against the oppressors want to take the hit of destroying one of the last relics of the old-world? These thoughts ran through her head as the crimson-haired Gaea moved to a nearby seat. When Dion finished, she cleared her throat.

"I suppose I should start now, yeah? I'm only going up there to run interference while whatever plan you decide on takes place. If what you say is true, about the rouge Siren, then she is a target and potential ally. I will go and protect her and destroy whatever tanks I can." She paused for a moment, giving William and the others enough time to form whatever opinions they wanted, then started again. "I will also protect the Statue from whatever tank fire I can. This is one of the last symbols of 'America,' and a great asset to our cause. We cannot afford to lose it."

At the sound of disagreement, William’s leg twitched. In fact, he loved to hear other motives more than his own, so his leg had actually twitched in excitement. He dead-locked his pupils with Dion’s singular eye and the color of his own retinas started to turn a lighter color. In an instant they stopped midway into color, showing a pinkish-salmon hue; he knew the lieutenants did not like him entering their minds without permission, but force of habit insisted upon ‘making sure’. What they did not know was he did not trust any of the personnel in the room and that it wasn’t personal.

He turned instantly at the sound of Aeryn’s voice and thought to himself. Indeed it was a good idea to convert the Sirens, especially the rogue ones, and he knew this all along. Unfortunately, it was a risky move and she could just be bait. He walked over to the end of the table, sat down in the chair across from Aeryn and poured himself a drink. He then slid the bottle across the table to her and took a quick gulp of the alcohol before instinctively turning his head towards the opening in the tent, left open due to James’ credit. Behind the soldier was an informant from the spy section of the underground movement. He seemed worn and tired, probably due to lack of sleep and dehydration.

Sir, they got rid of the cameras,” the man said,” and they killed Scott and his men.

Good,” William stated, ignoring the last statement; this left the man in a short state of disbelief.

Hesitantly, the spy spoke up again,” we did, fortunately” he said the last word with a gulp,” capture surveillance of one of President Wenstrom’s first officers…

William looked at the man,” did you bring back the tape?

Yes, but I-

Show us the recording.

The spy looked around the room with his bottom jaw ajar before quickly ruffling through his bag for the tape. He pulled it out and placed it on the machine in the middle of the room and pressed a button. The screen shined over William’s desk for all in the tent to see. What William saw, and expected, was a familiar face; someone whom he despised more than Mallory herself.

If you guys wanted in, you could have just asked. The door is left open for you, just take a shower first.” The camera was then hauled into the ocean and short-circuited, brightening the room once more. William looked down, then across the table at Aeryn.

" Both of you are to do as you said. Aeryn, that Siren could be beneficial. You will need Wilhelm and Sam to help you upon rescuing the young lady," William then turned to the other lieutenant," I will volunteer myself to come with you, but we will need help slipping by...

"...and I know just the person to do it."

Well, there wasn't much time to dig graves, so she settled on sending them to the bottom of the ocean surrounding Liberty Island. She approached the base where she, Altiema, and Mallory were to meet at. Altiema was already inside, the heat seeming to get to her as she had taken off her shirt, leaving a regular tank top and her skirt. Giving the other woman a kind smile, she dismissed her earlier worries.

"Don't worry; those soldiers know damn well they can't let anyone by." Aisha had already gone over just what would happen if they did. "Yes, everything went fine. I'm assuming everything went well for you, also, considering your earlier arrival." She walked next to the second in command, taking a seat and allowing herself to relax. "I figured I may as well, since it's only been getting hotter lately and humidity is not my best friend." she replied, letting out a sigh. "Even so, it's not like it's much better." The general chuckled a bit, leaning forward to examine the map Altiema was marking. "Hm…" she went through the plan in her head, tapping her lips with one finger. She nodded slightly, still thinking of different outcomes. The positions were good, as long as every soldier was clear on what to do in certain situations that were more likely to happen. "These should be just fine." she finally responded. As she did, none other than Mallory entered the base and Aisha turned to face her with a smile. "Good evening." she greeted, bowing her head to the woman. Mallory retrieved a manilla folder from the pitched tent, explaining the plan for the destruction of the Statue of Liberty excitedly.

Aisha looked over the folder's contents after Altiema, barely even getting a chance to skim it before Mallory questioned someone outside the base. Looking up, her smile vanished and was replaced with a scowl. The dictator ordered for one of their soldiers to fire a warning shot, and Altiema beat her to it. She shouted the orders to the troops outside, rage seeping through her voice. Aisha let out an irritated sigh. 'This is not how things are supposed to be happening...' she thought, her mood completely ruined. She stood, following Mallory outside to get a better grasp of the situation. Watching the distant figure flee behind the statue after being hit, she stared it down to make sure the Siren didn't leave the scene as Mallory shuffled through the papers in a folder she'd taken from the tent. She labeled the Siren flying around as a traitor, having not entered ACRO in the past few days.

"A traitor, hm?" Aisha mumbled, her mood growing even more sour by the second. However, even while Mallory was taking action and shooting down a camera hidden in the trees behind soldiers, she began running down a list of strategies that could be used in the situation now that she knew rebels were most likely coming into play. They'd just have to take a few more precautions, not that their soldiers weren't able to handle a few uncooperative civilians. Her thoughts were interrupted by the woman in front of her dishing out commands. Aisha nodded, strategies now narrowed down to defensive situations. "Yes, m'am." she responded, moving to help pack up a few things before following Altiema out of the tent. She gave a bright, fake smile to the second in command, waving and quickly facing her troops.

"Listen up!" she barked, grin gone. "You are to move to defensive positions immediately! We're expecting rebels to show up tonight, so be on your guard at all times! You will be stationed near tanks 1, 3, and 5 who are also on the defensive, but not directly next to them! If I catch anyone not meant to be near the tanks looking for some kind of extra protection, we will have problems." She said the last part with added malice, eyeing some of the more fear-ridden soldiers. "Do not let anyone without a uniform go unnoticed! Report anything and everything remotely suspicious! Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes, m'am!" the troops responded, ready to move already. 'Perfect.' Aisha thought, silently hoping everything went according to plan.

"Go!" she shouted, dismissing them with a wave of her hand. She watched them scurry to the assigned positions, preparing for what was to come. Altiema's team had left, most likely soon after Aisha began yelling at her own unit. She was a bit disappointed her troops weren't assigned to take down the statue, but she wasn't about to go complain to Mallory about it. She could live with it. Reentering the tent, she sighed heavily, taking a seat once more. "Troops are in defensive positions." she relayed. "I trust you changed them accordingly with the situation, Altiema. I'll change them if needed. What are the locations of these cameras?" The general leaned her head back a bit, closing her eyes and taking a moment to calm herself down.

Zaria Smith

And there a gift ignites; a cursive thought takes flight,
And there's a dancer, twisting in between the spines...

Of course the hit hadn't sent the young attacker as far as her 'foe'. The pink haired siren spun out towards the water in a quickened descent. But this also confused Zaria. Even with such push off and acceleration, the girl didn't weigh enough to cause the woman to plummet that much; even with Zaria being older and larger she didn't have as much strength as she wasn't trained.

The young girl fluttered in the air. She had wings yes. But during the day they were rarely seen least she be on the ground or should the day be quite dark. Her wings seemed to be made of shadow, they weren't something that could be used as a weapon like others could. Her wings were once something to speculate. Large black feathery extensions that could rival the look of a dark angel's. With her power and voice; they'd been taken away too. But this other siren's wings seemed stronger, she should've been able to catch herself quicker...which meant something was up.

It wasn't long after that thought processed that another echoing Bhoom rang out. The siren pushed off from the water with the help of...well whatever she was using that Zaria couldn't recognize. Zaria's eyes widened at the speed it had created and quickly flew up toward the statue again. The brunette placed herself between the pink haired specialist and the statue with her hand out in front of her-palm perpendicular to the ground-in a signal to halt.

It was very hard to get points across when one was mute. If only ACRO had taught her sign language or something...then again, they would've had to teach the others if they'd bothered with her. So the defected siren puffed out her chest a bit, stuck her chin up and looked at the other. Her body language signified that she wasn't going to just let this siren get past. Sadly the girl was having a hard time coming up with a battle plan. She was honestly scared out of her mind...Yet never so determined. She finally was doing something, standing up for something bigger than herself like she'd never been allowed to in ACRO. It was exhilarating and terrifying all in one.

Zaria's adrenaline protected her from the pain from her still dripping wound. She held her ground, trying to look more powerful than she actually was and mentally preparing herself for the attacks the specialist could muster. Her goal: Not to let the being near the statue...not without a fight

Location: Statue of Liberty
Company: ACRO tanks and soldiers
OOC: if anyone would like me to take you off of my quote list unless my character's interacting with yours just tell me. I tend to quote everyone just to remind everyone of the rp but I don't want to bother anyone

...Give her the breather's kiss, and watch her spirit lift,
She'll take over the stage, and she'll own the night.

Bitter Earth

I've been Called an Angel, a demon and a Savior. I am hated, I am loved.. I am all, I am nothing

Her eyes hounded the girl as she placed herself in the way. She didn't want to fight another siren, even if it was a 'defective' one. A siren was trained to use anything and everything in their power to win. A fair fight is the one you win, the instructors always said. Her wings out spread as she acended higher. In a dog fight you always wanted to be the higher fighter, using gravity to speed up your attacks and strike more damage against the enemy, this would be her plan. A dive bomb, show out discharge centerfire bolts down toward her using gravity to speed up her bolts in return allowing her to discharge less force so she could fire more.

She placed her hand on the her throat com" Foxtroxt, this is Air Support Delta. Patch me into onsite command." She rode out the momentum untill it began to slow. Her pink wings clearly visible now against the evening sky. Pulsing power surged through her wings as she flapped them untill she reached her desired height where she was a distance away looking down on the Siren. The COMM popped a little " Patching you through in two seconds". Her comm needed had two settings, Remote and manual to change channels. Using when on station she had the group change her channels, for situations like this. A show down of sorts.

It pinged, notifying her that she was patched through" Command, This is Air support Siren Delta on situation, I have a situation with a ACRO Siren, requesting orders" It was obvious to her that this was a turned siren in all accounts on the fact she was blindsided without even a comm hail, but there have been reports of Sirens not being able to communicate with each other due to visibility issues or com issues. Tho this was seemed to have no problem with a visual target, as her hand was out towards her in a halt signal. It was grounds for great cation on her part.

Mallory paced the platform as the idea of cameras simultaneously paced around her mind. These rebellion members were beginning to learn plenty of new tricks, as shown by those hacked cameras. Yet despite her surprise, anger never pulsed through her veins. In fact, she was almost impressed; they were starting to become more worthwhile competition. Though, ACRO could easily fight back harder.

The dictator felt a burst of adrenaline as the two other women yelled orders at various units. It was a feeling of productivity through preparation, the assurance of security and order that satisfied her. Whatever the rebels were about to do, Crest and Vezirov kept endless counters up their sleeves--something Mallory infinitely adored about them.

Placing her trust in their hands, Mallory lifted her binoculars once more to glance at the ongoing brawl between the two Sirens. As the pink-haired one prepared herself for combat, a resounding boom that resembled a cannon echoed through the area. The girl then nimbly ascended the air towards Zaria, who merely stuck her hands out. Really? Mallory thought. Not even a weapon to fight back with? No switch knife or gun that she stole? How pathetic. Her small gesture caused Mallory to chuckle under her breath. "What a deadbeat~," she sang while twirling away from the scene.

Eventually, Crest and Vezirov returned to the metal platform, Altiema swiftly claiming a seat. "We're in the dark Ma'am. But the camera's were running awhile,"[/b
] Altiema reported, and Mallory nodded in response. "I've changed the positions of the troops, but General Vezirov can change them around if she wishes."

"I trust you changed them accordingly with the situation, Altiema," Aisha replied milliseconds later. "I'll change them if needed. What are the locations of these cameras?"

"Well they seemed to have hacked an ACRO camera," Mallory began, then paused to set down the binoculars once more. She walked over to her bag and fished again in its sea of contents, reeling in a radio this time. As the brunette worked on tuning it, she continued her previous statement. "Crest is aware of the other locations. However, assuming that they hacked into that particular camera recently..." she pointed towards the sparking remains of the one she shot. "I'm certain they're gathering reinforcements right now. Hell, I bet they're running out with their pitchforks and frying pans right this second!" a joyful and excited grin flashed the two of them. It screamed Disney with a tinge of mischief. "Which means we need to hurry."

After that statement, Mallory rushed to the radio in time to intercept a Siren's contact. "Command, this is Air support Siren Delta on situation, I have a situation with a ACRO Siren, requesting orders." the familiar situation caused Mallory to beam brighter. Oh, what luck! Her leather finger pounced on the big red button of the radio to speak.

"President Wenstrom speaking. You're that pink-haired Siren, aren't you? The one flying by the disgusting green rock called Lady Liberty?" as she spoke, Mallory's gaze flickered to the statue once more, pinpointing a target to shoot for. "Keep the Siren distracted. Be wary of incoming missiles."

Her finger brought mercy on the red button and lifted back to her side, officially finishing the statement to the Siren. Mallory's brown eyes darkened as a plethora of orders hung at her tongue. Snatching her walkie-talkie, her stream of commands began to flow. "Tank #2, aim at the statue's left arm from the front. The one holding the tablet. Permission to load and launch the missile." setting the gadget down, she turned to the other two women. "The rebels 'ought to be scared from the first shot. 'Make him run here faster." she gave each of them a curious glance. "I'll need you two to begin supervising troops and see through the rebels' tricks. If we can get the statue down, our goal is clear."

Aeryn Frost
The Ice Queen

Ignoring what the spy spoke about and showed, then hearing William give her and Dion the order to complete their missions, Aeryn nodded and turned towards James. "Meet me at the Statue. Bring a few men." She walked out as she spoke, leaving the room and walking past a few men. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, then began to sink into the floor like a brick in a marsh. When her head was completely covered, Aeryn seemingly shot under the earth and flew towards the Statue.

Stopping a few miles away from the actual Statue, and well away from ACRO, she pulled binoculars from her pack and looked into the sky. It was then that Aeryn could hear the voice of a madman, the voice of one Mallory Wenstrom. Her right eye twitched from the sudden build up of anger, but it quickly subsided when the sight of a tank missile flew towards the Statue's left arm. Aeryn knew that she needed to act, and act is what she did. She stomped the ground, softly shaking Liberty Island as she sent a large boulder from the ground towards the missile, striking and exploding the rocket before it reached its target.

Knowing that this would alert ACRO to her position, the half-breed sunk into the earth and made her way underneath the tank that fired, creating a sink hole that swallowed the hulking metal vehicle of death. She quickly swam to the base of the Statue and shot upwards, landing between Lady Liberty's feet before adjusting her hat. "I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to ask you to leave."
