Welcome everyone to the first ever Lolita Subforum Gift Exchange! This is just something I thought up to help us all celebrate the creation of the Lolita Fashion Subforum, as well as a fun way for us to build up a sense of community here on Gaia! I hope you'll choose to participate and get to know your fellow lolita fans a little better!

This thread is a place for interested members of the lolita subforum to join together for a fun, gift giving event. Think of it like a "Secret Santa" gift exchange, except with a "Lolitas and Halloween" twist!

If you decide to sign up, you'll fill out a short, simple form about yourself, your interest as it pertains to lolita fashion, and the sorts of things you're interested in. All of the forms will be collected, and each applicant will be assigned a top secret recipient who they will then get a gift! Everyone will receive something!

If this sounds like fun to you, we'd love to have you participate! Perhaps we can have more gift exchanges in the future!

Because gift exchanges can get a little delicate, we're going to lay down some ground rules!

1. Please sign up only if you can promise to be responsible for fulfilling your gift giving assignment. Nobody likes being forgotten!

2. If for some reason something comes up and you are unable to complete your assignment, PLEASE PM Robo-Dream as soon as you are able. This will allow the situation to be handled in a way that makes everyone happy. If you remain silent, nothing will get fixed!

3. When filling out your form, please be as specific and flexible as possible! The more information you give, the better! If you just say "I like cute things XDDDDD" that doesn't give your gift giver a lot to work with. The more you can tell them, the better chance you'll get a gift you like!

4. Please keep your wishlists reasonable. Not everyone has millions to spend. Feel free to post your wildest dream items, but post some more attainable things as well. Who knows, you may be surprised!

5. Please be polite and kind to everyone involved in the exchange. There is no need to be rude. Ever. This is all for fun!

1. OMG HOW DO I SIGN UP????
A simple form will be posted. Fill in your answers, click send, and the responses will all go to Robo-Dream who will then give everyone their assignments.

2. How do you decide who gets who?
Based on your answers, I will try to match people based on what they would enjoy giving and getting.

3. What sort of things can I ask for on my form?
Well, this is a lolita halloween event, so preferably things related to one or both of those. smile Gaia items are an easy choice, but things like avatar art, poems, or even crazy things like a short funny video could lead to some creative gifts.

4. This sounds fun, but I am not exactly rolling in gold. Can I still participate?
Yes! If you would feel more comfortable offering something like avatar art you have drawn or something else that doesn't cost gold, I will do my best to match you up with someone that is looking for art etc.

5. When do I sign up?
As soon as the form is posted, you can sign up! Sign-ups will close Sunday, October 7. Assignments will be handed out very soon after. All gifts should be given no later than Halloween, October 31!
